Orpheus's Departure

*As you walk by Orpheus’s Lair, you notice a note that is hanging by a dagger that was forcefully driven in into the wall. The dagger being Orpheus’s prized dagger he had since he was a boy. The note is written in blood on a small piece of torn parchment.*

My brothers and sisters, I am writing this letter to inform you that I have decided to step down from my position of Harbinger. I have become to know that I am not worthy for reasons none of you may not be aware of. I have, once again, begun to feel the way I once did before I joined the ranks of the Undead. Only a few, if any, of you may know of what I am speaking of. To punish and torture myself, I will walk throughout the Nether for the rest of eternity. Do not try to look for me, as for I will leave no tracks and will bring nothing with me. I leave my diamonds, iron, gold, and all of my other possessions for the treasury.

To Brevias: My robes are in one of my chests; give them to a new, more worthy Harbinger.

To all: Never forget the Undead’s cause. Make those weak mortals pay for their ignorance and insolence... Make me proud…

Signed,

Orpheus

((I have decided to leave the Undead indefinitely, but am still debating whether or not to leave to the server completely. I have grown tired of many things on the server and have become a bit inactive. There is nothing really left to say besides, thanks for all of the good memories with the Undead and I hope to see you all around. :) ))

(( Really depressing to watch any noble member step down from power. I hope many people stay, along with you staying on LotC itself. Have a good one.

Her cold, slitted eyes examine the note painfully. Her teeth grit together at the myriad of emotion washing through her. Starts with one, more and more start to follow. The Truth of Iblees is being forgotten by the very peoples who swore to convey it.

This will not do.

She turns abruptly, and whisks away in her usual, authoritarian manner, her robes billowing behind her at her frustrated haste.
