Deep beneath the Whispering Isles, Alethion and Rhisereld sit within a quiet sanctum, Menel Nen Arda. Regardless of Alethion's terribly disfigured face, Rhisereld hold's his hand with a tight grip.

"I don't know how he did it. He's not like the other Undead. He's strong, clever, and he's ruining my life. Not just mine... Persephone will never be the same again..."

"Though it was not my true intention, I tried to take advantage of Persephone. It was as if I was watching myself from a perspective I could not control..."

"...It was a tug-of-war between the curse and I. A tug-of-war over my brain, my body, and my actions..."

Alethion continues to speak, "I could not live with myself knowing I had done such wrong to you. I tried to take my life and end the madness."

"Then I said goodbye. Not because it was the easy way to escape. I felt I was penetrating the enemy. When the whole time, I was doing exactly what he wanted me to do..."

"But I saw past the curse and into your tear-filled eyes. Oh how could I have fallen victim to such a clever tactic of his? He wanted me to finish the suicide. But you were the one that got in the way."

"I gave her my trust as a friend, Cataris threw it away. I took her to Alethion's Hold and kept her there for weeks... The curse took over my body, I resisted enjoying it as much as I could. I wish I was stronger. Persy, what a brave lass. She deceived the curse, she made it think she enjoyed what it was doing to her. She lead me back to the Isles... And then I was locked up. It's somewhat a shame the walls weren't entirely padded at the time... But perhaps it was the only way to subdue the curse from shouting at Persephone."

"And every time I look back on it... I can just see Persephone with her tear filed eyes, staring at me through the iron bars of Al'khazar."

"Everything just feels wrong. I just wish I could be stronger..."

Rhisereld squeezes Alethion's hand and softly whispers, "You're the strongest I know."

"But you... you stood in front of me, a brave woman, wielding the very sword I used to kill myself. You defended me from the wrath of the Whispering Order, those that I hurt, and myself..."

Suddenly, Alethion's face repeatedly jerks it's way back to it's normal, undamaged state.

"And you're the cure for this curse."
