Lumbering Camps

Hail all readers, I come today to speak of an idea that developed within my cranium, and that, is Lumbering camps, basically, where someone can go to harbour wood. The system would work in the same way as a mine, that you would need to buy a permit for the camp, then you could just go into a large expanse and take all the wood you want.

And know, you're probably thinking, "well, how would the tree's replant themselves?" Instead of telling Good ol' Vaq to make a plug-in, an IG job could be made, and be payed by the nation where the lumbering camp resides.

Open to all suggestions and further extension of the idea.

P.S. This would be useful, now that land is divided into nations, so you can't go punch a tree to start off.

This would indeed be useful for Aegis 2.0, considering the new world system the admins will use disclosed in the sneak peek. Wars may not be fought just for power, greed or revenge now, but even for power over resources to provide for nations.

That would cause a lot of wars :)

In my eyes personally, tree farms aren't very RP, in the fact that, you can just get any piece of land, any grow tree's on it. Where as, a logging camp would have to reside within a forest.

There could be a couple of benefits to having harvesting areas away from PLayer cities and with their own small camp. Roleplay being one, but also being able to keep track of and take care of the forests (and mines) Lumber camps, mining camps, fishing villages, farming villages... all with their own caretakers tasked with keeping both form and function up to par.

Good idea and having a couple of these scattered around might be a good idea too.
