Helmet Rule?

 Share

Recommended Posts

First off i do not mind hoods or pumpkins,

But helmets!

You can see people from their helmet and you should only take it off once!

Helmets were designed for Protection! Not for Carrying it in a bag!

Pumpkins and helmets are fine.

But the guards should give you a pass to wear it.

You can see faces from a helmet!

Atleast it should only be taken off once.

I rest my Case.

[ This is in Elven Roleplay guys :P ]

There is a reason for this......

Many villains hide there faces behind this protection. If you have a problem with it, look for a prince or princess.

((You're not supposed to be able to see faces on any helmets other than leather. In the official texture packs, the faces are covered. Second, not only is concealing your face suspicious, wearing armour into town implies you're up to no good.))

((I'm using the one Resperin made and can see all faces except in Gold, and that rule isn't on the website btw.))

The reason we have the rule in place is to protect the people of Malinor. Concealed faces doesn't allow our Vanguard and Wardens to accurately identify threats. The alternative is to have a check point at all gates to identify everyone that enters or leaves the city. This would be very time consuming and would irritate everyone, even those that don't wear such things.

Instead we ask that everyone merely remove the head gear before they enter the city. It is a very simple thing and does wonders for the safety of our city. If you wish to wear a helmet that badly, join the Vanguard and you may wear such things while on duty in the city.

Otherwise if you're going to insist on wearing such ridiculous things, I'm going to insist you stay out of the city.

It SHould only be need to be taken off ONCE

There should be a little paper to show the vanguards/wardens so you can wear it!

"Not only is that concept idiotic, but such a paper could easily be copied into forgeries by one dedicated and skilled enough.

When you enter Malinor, you have two options: pull off the headgear and we all have a nice day, or refuse like a stuck-up child and get escorted out of the city walls. Don't complain to us - complain to High Princess Indelwehn.

Refusing to reveal your identity makes you all the more interesting to us, anyway..."

The law is take it off and leave it off. Leave the helmets at home if you don't want to carry them. Or stay out. There's not going to be anymore discussion on this. Failing to comply will result in consequence.

Wait so you can see through this and know who it is, also Nice is this an OOC complaint about the rule you can't see through helmet, or are you just mad that you can't wear a helmet?

With such darke magic as is available so readily, one's face can be disfigured with little effort.

Thus it is difficult enough to identify threats without the wearing of such armour.
