A brief history

Under a large mountain formation named Rovik Rock a camp exists. Relatively small at the moment it slowly grows taking in other small camps and towns. This camp is home to the Akatol a tribe that welcomes free spirits, mercenaries, hunters, healers, you name it. This is all lead under The Ram King, current chief. It all exists because of him, because of his life long dream of leading a tribe based on the beliefs of his home tribe The Toltik. However it differs in its military views, for Ram King hopes never to be taken out like The Toltik and his home village. Instead he does all that is in his power to stay on top, be that marauding, killing, slaving, and razing.

Culture

Living in a gypsy like way The Akatol are somewhat nomadic, they will move if it is absolutely crucial to survival but try to stay in a permanent spot. They use tattoos and names as a sign of camp achievements and different hairstyles to signify different roles, such as a mohawk for hunters and warriors. The Aktols are master tent makers and are skilled in makeshift re-building of abandoned homes and forts. There is a strong belief in natural medicine among The Akatol and they are generally healthier than city folk. Hunts are held daily to keep them fed and after each hunt the hunter who got the most food is rewarded a higher share and after each week the most successful hunter is granted the largest tent. A shaman leads the spiritual side of the Akatol and can lead in whatever way he or she sees fit, the current belief is that everyone must meet their moment of truth.

Why hunt in a group where the only "advantage" is that you have to share your kills? And companions don't work too well on long range hunts...

To sustain our people, who else is going to feed us? Hunting is packs is the best way to hunt, don't want to get mauled by a mountain lion and left to die because you went alone, or bucked off a cliff by a in raged fully grown male ram.

((I know it will never work properly in minecraft but I just wanted to make a realistic tribe and live that way, but in minecraft everyone can sustain themselves so true RP never works, I want there to be building companies that you pay to build your home instead of you just doing it and all the jobs and trades people do in real life that others cant do. Not everyone should be a lumberjack-contractor-soldier-hunter-farmer, and I know some do play in a way where they do only one thing which is awesome its just not the "done" thing.))

Soldier and Hunter doesnt go hand in hand quite often actually, unless we are talking about Steppe Tribes IRL like the Sauromatae or Mongols.

I understand, Gaius. I was talking about lotc skillsets, ie hunters will have the same skills as warriors.
