The Grimsons Modern History

The Grimsons are a Noble House of Elves, with the occasional Human bastard. Born into 2 of the 3 main children, the Jackais, or Frido, the Grimson Family are proud, loyal, power hungry, and the high with the need for money. The Children of Frido are arrogant, fairly cruel, and long for power. They are fierce warriors, with all weapons and have been in many of the militaries. They will do anything for power and they are currently lead by Jameson. The children of Jackai are the youngest of the 3 and yet ruling of the house are passed down through them. They are performers and do well with money. They seek power like all, but through money and politics, not fighting and wars. The current leader of the Jackais and the house in general is Bryce. The Women are proud, marrying, they must keep their lastnames. The Grimsons only record true members of the family, so wives and husbands are forgotten to belong. Bastards are included if owned.

For long the Grimsons, have carried what they own. Not having a set house, they carried their books on them. They did have a few houses, in Alras, Oren, but all were lost for diffrent reasons. Now under the new rule of Bryce, he has noted, that his family will die soon if not set. So, he looked for a Kingdom to swear to. Due to problems, grudges with other kingdoms, almost all of them, Bryce settled on Oren, the peaceful Human kingdom, and even better, because he had Humans among them.......however then came the day. The Undead struck. They came over Oren in masses, killing all, as the races struggled to protect the land. In the end they failed. Members of the Grimsons did fight there, for their hopfully new land, but it was not able.

Now they wander, like before. Trying to hang to their roots, hoping to find a place to call home.

A rumor comes that Hanseti may be the place for them, only time will tell however.

The Start of the Grimson Family

Long before time, before kingdoms stood tall, before wars broke out, there was a man. Born into this world, from whom we do not know, and yet he stood at the world with the name of Kal. He was an elf as they say, he lived in the nature, learning the meanings of life, the world and the inhabitants. He learned from the sun, the moon, the trees, he learned from life. He was content, as any elf, but he longed for more…..

Then while wandering through the woods, the moon watching over him, as a guardian, he came upon a fare lady. Relaxing in the field, the flowers bloomed, sheep, chickens, they all laid around her, watching happily. Kal was dumbstruck, he hid behind a tree and watched. She laid there happily, she stared at the sky, the world around her. It is said days past, and still Kal watched, memorized. Until the 4th moon passed, he waited no longer, he steped out from behind the tree.

She turned around, looked him up and down, the animals scattered, they ran fast and the field deserted. Alone Kal stood, until she smiled. She beckoned him down beside her and it began. A relationship. A relationship that would last ages, for there and then, they knew, they knew they loved each other.

Kal stayed with her, where ever she went, and eventually he asked her to marry her. Jamie, a name that she picked, laughed, and leaped into his arms.

Together they decided to start a family. For elves, cursed to be fertile for a few years only, knew if kids were to come, it was now. Together they picked a family name together, they agreed on Grimson.

They had happy moons together, and then came the child. She grew large, and before long it was time…….

She gave birth to twins, overjoyed they named the boy, Frido, and the girl Kathleen. They lived together in the forest, letting the gods guide them. They were content as a family, living on the gods of nature, and the eternal love for each other. However, before long Jamie grew large again, and she gave birth to Jackai, however it changed her. She struggled during birth, she was in pain, and death found her while giving birth to Jackai. Kal, in horror, cried for many moons, sitting alone in a tree. It was when Kathleen came to him, at the age of 5, telling him that Jackai needed him, she needed a father, she needed love that he came down. Letting Jamie her go, but not forgotten, and raised the kids on his own.

Frido came to be quite the fighter! He learned to use a bow, making his own sword, bows, and arrows. He fought many battles for fun and couldn’t be defeated! Rumors are here that he even had a hand in starting the Wardens! Kathleen was the opposite, unlike her twin, she spent her days in the forest, she learned the kindness the sun blesses us with. The love the animal gave, yet how they survived on the Circle of Life. She had her mother’s looks and kindness. Blinding a man whos wandering eyes came upon. She was the moon and the sun together. Jackai however was different. She had her mothers looks, her kindness and yet her father Kal’s fire. She knew what she wanted, but was shy to take it. She was the balance between the twins.

Kathleen was the first to fall in love, she loved a man, not known today and married him too. It was in child birth where it happened. Kathleen like her mother had trouble, she cried in pain and in the end, could not deliver, she died while trying to give life, and with her she took her baby…………The kindness from the Grimsons, the whole, the sun, she was no more.

Kal soon grew old, he slept long, as Frido was out winning battles, making himself known, and Jackai seemed to enjoy entertainment. She loved to put on shows, and most of all, do well financially! She invested in many ideas. Kal saw happiness in his children and was satifsifed. He grew to 1067, he saw some grandchildren arise and was glad the Grimson family name would live on. He soon was unable to walk, his body was failing him. The other elves looked at him weird, 1067 was so young, and yet clearly it was over. So Kal called his children, “live on young ones, follow your dreams, never give up, remember who you are.” and on his command Frido took out his sword, and slowly and quickly slashed his throat, putting him out of his misery……………
