The Teutonic Order

The black cross has become a symbol in the world of Aegis, though that symbol has come to mean so many things. No matter what it means to you I will speak to you of what it means to me, to my men and what it meant to Gaius. The cross is a symbol of pride and triumph, power and perseverance. This is the symbol of the Teutonic Order.

The Teutonic Order was built many of years ago by a man named Gaius Marius, a man who has become infamous for his many conquests and glorious victories in battle. The mission of the Teutonic Order was to systematically destroy the guilds and towns that segregated Oren in the hopes to unite the one human nation under one flag. All of our early operations were in secrecy and we quickly were branded the black cross by story tellers and minstrels who would hear and pass the story on to the people of Aegis. The order kept its secrecy for many years becoming a myth, a legend until the day the Teutonic Order took the largest inquest of their history and marched on Oren. Gaius saw the corruption on Oren and knew that the only way to truly unite all of Oren was to take it under the banner of the black cross. Although not successful in taking Oren as their own they continued their conquest to bring the people of Oren together often fighting to protect her people when the guards would not march themselves. Many years later as all people of Aegis would know the undead made their largest and final push to capture and taint the lands we once lived on. Al’khazar was the first to fall and in this time of hardship and war the crown of Oren was given to Gaius Marius to lead Oren as their new king. The nation of Oren, the true human nation would from day on be known as the Realm of Hanseti and would be led by the Teutonic Order.

With that last summoned shout from his spirit, Gaius slumps into eternal slumber as the heralded chants of a mourning Order prevails the quiet natural noises of the Realm of Hanseti. Thundering hymns of solemn peace exude from each citizen knowledgeable of their different chants that day...

Know that the Teutonic Order has always been and will continue to be a standing army even though their goals have now altered and their leader has passed. The Teutonic Order are now the sworn protectors of the people of Hanseti and will lay down their lives for their land, their people and their Hochmeister Samuel Bealcrest. Let the Realm of Hanseti rise up and become the might nations they were meant to become, and let their military remain fierce and feared by many.

Joining the Teutonic Order will not be as easy as an application nor will you approach the Hochmeister and request permissions to join our ranks, in fact asking to join will hurt your chances of joining the order at all. If you are to become a sariant you will need to be approached and invited to join the order. You must prove your worth to the Hochmeister and he will approach you himself to request you to join but their are some requirements, you must be loyal courageous willing to lay down your life for your land and your brothers and you must me a master warrior. ((100 in any weapon))
