Zezimus 1523 Share Posted February 11, 2012 'ail Dwarves, with t'e death of Thorik, I, Valen Blackaxe 'ave taken t'e decision ter resign from my position as Grand Councilor and leave Karik fer t'e forseeable future. Although I 'ave been missin' fer many years due to bein' blasted off t'e ship ter Asulon, there are a number of reasons why I now feel I must leave fer gurd. 'owever, I wish 'oever t'e council votes as t'e new King, t'e best o' luck in governin' t'is fine nation. Yer 'ave my full support, 'oever yer may be, it is my only 'ope t'at ye can now bring t'e nation back into a new golden age, once again. I 'ave been a Grand Councilor fer many years and I feel it is only right ter thank t'ose Dwarves 'o 'ave supported our government in t'e dark times t'at we 'ave faced, particularly in our wars against t'e Orcs and also, t'e undead. I 'ave been a part of t'is nation from t'e days of t'e Battle of Wrath's Clutch, through t'e rules of Gotrek and Algrim, through t'e Great War and t'en t'e final battles against t'e undead. I can only 'ope that I 'ave done enough ter serve t'is nation as I intended. While we 'ave faced particularly troublin' times in recent years with the split between t'e clans, I am confident t'e new government can unite the Dwarves once again, under a single nation. My reasons fer leavin' Karik are t'at, t'is is unfortunately not t'e nation I once knew and 'elped build. Rivalries and biterness 'ave plagued t'is nation and broken apart what many Dwarves spent years restorin' t'e it's glory. I know fer a fact that many Ironguts wished fer Thorik's death and still rejoice at t'e fact t'at 'e is gone. I would therefore like ter pay Thorik my respect as 'e was one of my greatest friends and one of t'e finest Dwarven leaders I 'ave ever known. I would also like ter pay my respects ter all of those Dwarves, I 'ave known 'o gave t'ere lives ter protect t'is nation, namely Chaecus Braveaxe and Urir Ire'eart 'ose sacrifices fer t'is nation will never be forgotten.
