It was a snowy night as usual in Hanseti, as almost every other day. I was sitting in my house, polishing my diamonds, when I saw a troupe of people trudge in.

One of them had dark blue skin. Ben Fawkes, I knew him. I issued his passpourt. The other two I dont know, but they wore similar clothings. Dutiful as always, I locked away my diamonds, and asked for their names and business politely. Lysle Rigger and Lily Aladiir. Just some folks looking for work.

We entered Ben's home. Sangreal, whom I met before as well, declared that Ben has died in a stroke, while he barely survived. Another death of a body with two souls, was Kincaid just like him when he died? I dont know this whole twin soul business. But Ben was someone I met in Aegis, and we chanced upon meeting in Asulon. I offered to bury him, but Lysle said he would work as the gravekeeper, and so I allowed him to do his job.

The snow stopped falling for tonight. We gathered around the grave, murmuring, until Lysle came out of his shack with some tools, and a sombre expression.

Using a small hammer and chisel, Lysle engraved the words Sangreal requested on a small marble plaque.

"Here lies Ben Fawkes. Dead Again"

I want to ask what does it mean, but I think that I would only get more questions than answers from Sangreal. So I just drop it, and respectfully keep my silence.

Lysle Rigger asked beforehand at Sangreal, confirming that Ben followed a obscure religion known as Ome'chan. Something I shoudldn't be too concerned about, I hardly knew the dark elf, save for some dinner and wine, maybe a chat here and there.

I listened on, my mind drifting elsewhere. What could have possibly happened to Ben? The funeral service goes on...

"Would anyone like to say their farewells to Ben Fawkes?" Lysle Riggers asked the small crowd.

A enthusiastic butcher called out, and stepped next to the tombstone made of stone slabs and a marble plaque. His apron was dirty, and he had a butcher's knife hanging from his belt. Obviously not dressed for a funeral, but I guess no one really minded.

"Khali-Shi. Right. Sorry. Haven't gotten used to this religion thing yet", the butcher murmured, embarrassed.

"Any others?"

I step up. Me and Ben, we didn't know each other very well. We were just in the same line of business, and got together for a chat sometimes. Exhaling, my hot breathe producing a small white cloud against the backdrop of the grey scenery. I speak.

"I just wanna say, I hope you find some halfling cider wherever you are, Ben"

Sangreal smiles continuously at all the kind, half hearted comments. I wonder how he feels, getting his other soul dying on him. He once told me that he(Sangreal) existed to protect Ben. What is there left for him now?

We throw some offerings, to which Sangreal kept in a small earthen jar, that was buried in place of the body, seeing as Sangreal still lived.

When the ceremony was over, dawn had arisen. Time to get back to work I suppose.

(This was told from a person's narrative point of view. It may or may not be correct information. But dont meta anyways.)

((Yeah, it was correct. And, Sangreal adjusted strangely. He started killing animals, drinking their blood etc. His stroke also helped him to adjust to how to actually live independantly.))

((All in all, this made me really happy I got a forum post dedicated to my funeral))
