The Karik Smithing Guild

(( Won't just want to say that the reason our economy blows at the moment is because we lack people any incentive to even come to the Dwarven Kingdoms. We don't really lack supplies thanks to the quota-system, but discounts and "deals" can go a long way into bringing guilds together, and also can get people to come and work in Karik.

If I were a random vagabond trying to figure which military to join, if I knew that I got certain perks and discounts in Karik, then naturally I'd choose Karik. Same with traders and merchants and consistency in goods along with the odd deal. We don't need to give HUGE discounts everyday, but perhaps higher up ranks could get a sort of discount for their hard work. It's better then letting the guild just mill around as it has the past few weeks, and plus if the smithing guild integrates further into the quota system we can get more done, like supply the smithing guild with ores in return for discounts ))

((Listen, The Smithing Guild is entirely dependent on the needs and wishes of others, we only get money from what others give us. If the Miners have a bad week, we have less ores, and we can do less repairs. THIS is the reason we are not in the quota system, because we cannot control what we produce. You get a great discount by bringing your own ores anyway, you buy ores, Miners get money, we get more ores ourselves. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you suck it up, and deal with what ya got.))

((We don't have enough ores to repair every single legion member who needs repairs))

((I believe that if they bring the item and the material to repair it with, then it's free))

((The region for the smithing guild hasn't been defined yet)). Yes Phelrin, if they bring the materials the repair is free.

(( You realize that by integrating yourself into the Quota System, Karik can in return, get you surplus ores from its quotas to you. You'd be able to get a constant flow, thus granting a stable production and then having much more flexibility.))

I require smiths! I have ore needing to be cooked into ingots. If ye can send a smith down to Branborough, I will be grateful, and pay them with what little I have. The ore is iron, so I need a smith able to do this as soon as possible! I have a mere 70 minas to pay for the smelting of 37 iron ingots, hopefully this is enough.

((Cracker we are leaving the Smithing guild out of the quota because they don't have a steady income. The way they are designed is that they only need to supply labor, as of right now they only need to smelt and repair, they can have no loss of profit but are limited to the amount of business they get. If you start to implement the need for them to supply the iron to do repairs that adds an entire aspect to their business that can be otherwise avoided. We already have merchants who can supply iron to those that need it. Simple is usually the best.))

((Oh, and congratulations Mili.))

Nay, I need to talk to Broski ((Arbek, that's what Broski told me))

((Well, unless someone actually removed the Forge's region, it's still there. I actually have perms, and have worked on it abit. So, unless he removed them himself, Broski is wrong.))
