Goblin Nationalism

(( For those who are going to take offense to this, understand this is coming from an uneducated goblin. This is completely in character, please remember. This is not going to affect anything that happens in game as Gxonab is not strong enough to lead this sort of nationalistic movement. Thanks.))

As the Goblins of the Grilo clan gather their supplies to move into their new village of new Grillion, murmurs of Goblin Nationalism spread amongst the group.

They have the willpower, but not the means.

Gxonab writes on a spare - partially burned old piece of paper, it looks to have once been some other document. The writing is in the common language, not Orcish (Blah).

" I have successfully spread the idea of Goblin Nationalism amongst my men, however, how am I supposed to make it into a reality? The orcs have, what I consider, the strongest army in Asulon, the Krughai. I doubt they will be easy to talk to diplomatically, and even so, I don't have anywhere close to the means to establish myself. I am moving away from the capital, I will have more time to think and to gain supporters. Just like the rest of my goblin brethren, I have the diplomatic skills to do so. Yet, I still ponder if I would like to go as far as war. But how can I say that? I know.. By Krug, I know the orcs look down upon us. I simply don't know. Who am I to challenge them anyway? Who am I to challenge the Rex? I am simply a goblin suffering from internal conflict."

The writing is scattered, failing to reach a conclusion.

((Incidentally, where are you getting this idea that Orc's look down on Goblins? From my experience and through my perception of general lore, Goblins are widely respected in the Orcish community. Their technological prowess and ability to design weapons and traps that compensate for their innate diminished physical prowess is regarded as a powerful feat of strength and a massive contribution towards the Warnation as a whole. Goblins build and design the Orcish siege weapons and from a lore perspective are among the most prominent smiths in the Warnation. The Orcish culture respects those who are strong, and not always in the physical sense. Jutra is respected because not only is she an excellent farmer who basically single-handedly keeps the Warnation fed in times of peace, but also (more recently) has proven herself in battle as a support piece. She is 4 feet tall, after magical growth augmentation. Really I do not know where this conception of "Goblins are looked down upon" originated.))

((The difference between my character and myself. He has been talked down to on multiple occasions, this was an in character remark, no need to bring it OOC. I know what you just said is true, but my character's feelings are different.))

((I like this. We need more goblins and a little dissent and inferiority complexes among goblins can be a good thing, it gives us a reason to beat them back down into submission. Your clan was utterly destroyed, so it's only natural that you would harbor some feelings of inferiority and weakness and strive to restrengthen and prove yourself to the physically superior orcs.))

((..Wait.

Orcs look... down on goblins?

...PSHHHHHHHHH XD))

((No, they don't. But like I said, this is an in character feeling. My Goblin's clan (Like Ned_Lud said) was utterly destroyed, and he personally has been attacked emotionally multiple times. This is coming from an individual Goblin, not the race as a whole.))

((Lol no worries mate, I was just confused how this came up. I understand and respect that you are able to separate character from self.))
