High Constable

He or she acts as Head of the Military, only answering to the King and Queen. This position includes a position on the council. The High Constable reports back to the King and Queen every Sunday, detailing any occurrences in the last elven week.

Role of the High Constable

  • He/she is in charge of organizing, implementing and overseeing military exercises at his own discretion, or by order of the King or Queen.
  • He/she is in charge of leading the Salvus Military and the Salvus Militia into battle.
  • He/she must organise the recruitment and assignment of new recruits.
  • He/she is in charge of the promotion and demotion of all Military personnel.
  • He/she must collect fines from those who have been charged with a crime.
  • He/she keeps order within the military of Salvus.
  • He/she must make sure all duties of lower ranking military personnel are being fulfilled.
  • He/she must make sure the law is upheld by each and every military member of Salvus.

Constable

He or she will act as the advisor and personal assistant to the High Constable. The Constable will be personally selected by the High Constable and so if the High Constable is away or not present in Salvus, the Constable will take charge of the Peacekeepers.

Role of the Constable:

  • He/she must help the High Constable in organizing, implementing and overseeing military exercises.
  • He/she will serve as a commander, helping to lead the Salvus Military and the Salvus Militia into battle.
  • He/she will be able to recommend the promotion and demotion of all Military personnel.
  • He/she must collect fines from those who have been charged with a crime.
  • He/she helps the High Constable keep order within the military of Salvus.
  • He/she must make sure all duties of lower ranking military personnel are being fulfilled.
  • He/she must make sure the law is upheld by each and every military member of Salvus.

How to become the Constable:

The Constable is selected only by the High Constable and is his/her most trusted member of the Peacekeepers. Commanders who have served in many battles and have proven themselves to be loyal to Salvus and the Peacekeepers have the chance of becoming a Constable. A Commander will also need the approval of the Queen in order to be promoted to the rank of Constable.

Commanders

There will be three Commanders, each of which take control over a particular duty within the city. It will be their job to ensure that the Peacekeepers beneath them are doing their job correctly so as to ensure that the city is defended to the best possible standard.

Role of the Commanders:

  • They watch over the citizens and make sure they are safe.
  • They can arrest/fine, any villain/law breaker.
  • They must arrange training exercises for the Peacekeepers.
  • They must watch over the group under them and make sure that the Peacekeepers are fulfilling their roles correctly.
  • They must help recruit and train the new Recruits and decide when they are ready for a promotion to Peacekeeper.
  • They must make sure all the laws of Salvus are followed by it’s citizens.
  • They will help command the main fighting force for Salvus in times of war.

How to become a Commander:

Commanders are only selected by the High Constable himself, with recommendations from the Constable and the other Commanders. Only the best and most experienced Peacekeepers can become Commanders of Salvus. This is not easy as for somebody to become a Commander, they will need to have mastered a combat skill (To level 100) and have participated in at least two large battles. Peacekeepers who do their job correctly and achieve more than expected of them, each have the chance to become a Commander.

Peacekeepers

The Peacekeepers are the backbone of the Salvus military. They are regarded as some of the bravest men in the nation of Salvus and are held in high esteem by the people of Salvus. When in the city, Peacekeepers will take on guard duties, protecting the city from potential threats. In times of war however, the Peacekeepers will serve as Salvus's main fighting force, whether defending the city or raiding enemy locations, at the orders of the Queen and the High Constable.

Role of the Peacekeepers:

  • They watch over the citizens and make sure they are safe.
  • They can arrest/fine, any villain/law breaker.
  • He/she must report back to a Commander EVERY time he/she makes an arrest/Fine and MUST pay the High Constable the money he fined the Criminal.
  • They must participate in all training exercises.
  • They must look out for their trainee and make sure they can handle themselves. If the trainee can not handle themselves it is the Peacekeepers duty to report this to a Commander.
  • They must make sure all the laws of Salvus are followed by it’s citizens.
  • They will serve as the main fighting force for Salvus in times of war.

How to become a Peacekeeper:

To be considered a full fledged Peacekeeper, a Recruit must go through training. This training can take a couple of forms. The first is being mentored by a Peacekeeper. In this case, a Recruit is partnered with a Peacekeeper and they stay together at all times, hoping that the Recruit will slowly pick up the finer points of being a Peacekeeper. They may also be given training by one of the Commanders such as obsticle courses, survival tests and various forms of combat training. After the Recruit has been recommened to a Commander by the Peacekeeper he has been assigned to, the Commander can decide if they are now eligible for a promotion.

Recruit

Recruits are the people of Salvus who wish to become Peacekeepers and are willing to prove it by going through training everyday and performing duties similar to that of the Peacekeepers. Each Recruit will have a Peacekeeper who will look out for them and make sure they are able to handle the tough job of being a Peacekeeper.

Role of the Recruits:

  • They watch over the citizens and make sure they are safe.
  • They must participate in all training exercises.
  • They must make sure all the laws of Salvus are followed by it’s citizens.
  • The Peacekeepers in training can not make arrests or fine people however they can detain criminals and must inform a peacekeeper of the crime immediately.
  • In battles and raids, they will serve the same purpose as the Peacekeepers. They MUST follow every order given to them so as not to endanger any of the other Peacekeepers.

How to become a Recruit:

To become a recruit, you will first have to fill out an application form. After the application has been accepted, one of the Commanders will give you a a short interview and then a test to determine any knowledge and skills that you can bring forward to the Peacekeepers. Once this is done, the Commander can choose to accept or deny you. If you are accepted, you will then be assigned to one of the groups as a Recruit.

Pay

Each Peacekeeper will receive no monetary pay. Instead, their armour, weapons, food, and housing will be provided by the government. Each Peacekeeper will also be allowed to keep any armour, weapons or supplies looted during battles or raids.

As you round the corner you see two men arguing about something intelligible to your ears. You see one wielding a stick, the other with nothing in his hands. How will you react.

Lyweneth walks to the group and inquirs the matter at hand. One says the other has stolen bread from his shop, the other counters with an accusation of the man sleeping with his wife. From the looks in they’re eyes Lyweneth sees that both are ready to fight and steps between the men, asks the to go to opposite sides of the street for questioning. They begrudgingly do so and Lyweneth interrogates both men to the fullest of her ability. She finds the man with the stick actually has a rather large record behind him and is lying to her face now, and she proof to boot.

When she tries to arrest the man for the theft of the bread, he tries to run but she picks up a rock and pegs him between the shoulder blades with it. The shock of the blow knocks the man face flat into the dirt. Lyweneth walks over and places a boot on the mans back as she reads him his crimes and the associated fines that come with it.

Lyweneth stays calm as her tactician mindset kicks in and everything slows. She runs along the wall and finds a commander. The commander, new to the job, is no idea what to do and just says to hide and wait it out. She looks back over the wall and sees the bandits are well equipped for a siege. It is obvious to her they are going to be in trouble if they are caught in a drawn out fight with the bandits. She runs off and feigns to follow the commanders orders. Lyweneth finds the high constable armoring up for a fight. She asks for orders. He replies with plans for a peace talk of some kind and she finds a better plan than the commander had.. She follows the High Constable and watches him work his magic for the matter at hand.

How will you react: I kindly ask whats going on. As in example; the men with the stick hit the other man in the head with his Stick. I ask why would you do it and what happend. After the explaining, I would take them both for Questioning and solve the case. As if it was random hitting, I would charge him for Harassment, if not, I would let them both free; but still keeping a eye on them.

As she does, she motions a Guard to steady aim his bow on the bandits. She would then ask whats happening. Before she gets to say, one of the Bandits charges for her. Luckly enough she dodges out of the way. LeTen would then tackle the bandit, taking him hostage too the other bandits. "Answer me! Whats happening!". She yells.

The bandits reply some reasonable answers, as she takes the charging Bandit into the guardhouse and charge him for fighting.

I go close to these people, order man with stick to throw it to me, and i'm questioning them why they're arguing. Unarmed man said, that armed man was trying to break inside his house. Armed man was running, finally he went into this back alley. I know that i am just a recruit, so i take them two to closest Peacekeeper with full rights to deal with this.It is a calm day in the outer city of solace as you watch the farm workers work their fields. First thing i should do is close gate, as do i, then i climb on a wall and look if bandits're attacking, meanwhile i order some of farm workers to inform about this raid every peacekeeper they can find. After a while, some peacekeepers and commander, arrives on the wall. Commander ordered us to take out our bows and wait for their turn. Our force were at least three times greater than theirs. And they decided to fall back, as we started raining them with arrows.

What weapon you are most comfortable with (and your stats for swords, axes, archery, wrestling and smithing): Most comfortable with a sword, and secondly a bow. (Swords: 86, Archery: 18 Wrestling: 22 Axes: 0)

How long have you lived in Salvus: I live in Renatus, But if I can find a job in Salvus I will stay at an inn until I can afford a house

Why do you wish to join the Peacekeepers: I want to join the peacekeepers to help keep violence off the streets, and I'm good at 1v1 situations, instead of full on battles. I feel as if I'm a bit of a thrillseeker, and being a guard seems to have some form of enjoyment and pride to it.

What military experience (if any) do you have: I have experienced training to be a ranger, although I've never experienced any actual military conflict.

Where were you before you came to Salvus: Renatus

Have you read and understood the military order and laws post? (Name one of the laws of high accord and the fines that can be imposed from it.): One of the high accord offences is 'Harboring a criminal against Salvus'. By breaking this law or another law of high accord, you can face punishment such as: A fine of 2000-5000 Minas, 3-7 days in jail, banishment or even execution. You can have punishment of high accord after committing 2 median accord offences.

I'd possibly take one of their side, and then tell them to come along and let some other guards hear their story, and if one of them was friendly towards me/took my side. Then the 2 of them wouldn't work together and become violent against me.

If the 2 of them got violent towards me then I'd have to unsheathe my sword, and only attack them as a last resort. Only 1 of them has a minor weapon so it'd be an easy fight if I got into one.

However, if the two of them got in a fight, I'd attack whoever started the fight, they know the consequences.

They stand outside the gates shouting demands, and threats. What do you do in this situation

In this situation I would obviously have to leave it to higher authority at a lower rank. But if I was the higher authority I would either give into their demands (If they were small, to avoid violence) or send messages to nearby soldiers outside the walls, to gather as many men as possible and surround them at the gates, with the more people it'd be an easier fight and we could arrest many criminals.

.It is your first day as a recruit in the Peacekeeper force, and as you are patroling the back streets of Solace you here the sounds of a argument in a back alley way. You see no other guards around and notice you are alone on the street. You decide to round the corner and find what the commotion is about. As you round the corner you see two men arguing about something intelligible to your ears. You see one wielding a stick, the other with nothing in his hands. How will you react. "Halt!" Adkai says with a solid voice. "What's going on here?" Adkai asks. "This man killed my livestock!" Says the one with the stick. "And what do you plan to do to this criminal?" Adkai asks with his left eyebrow raised in question. "Beat him! Until he bleeds out!" Shouts the infuriated man. "No, no, no!" Adkai says. "I will take him to a commander, and get some details. Only then, may we take action. Possibly a fine, or a week or so within iron bars. It all depends my citizen." Explains Adkai, holding the livestock killer's arms as he takes him to a commander. Later on, the man refused to pay the fine. Resulting in an execution, may the ascended take him to a better place.

It is a calm day in the outer city of solace as you watch the farm workers work their fields. You are eating a small meal of bread and apples. You hear the clanking of armored men over the hill, and go to investigate. you see a line armored bandits approaching the city, shouting war cries and foul language. You yell to the Farm hands to retreat inside the city. After they get inside, dodging arrows along the way. you prepare for a battle, but the bandits do not attack. They stand outside the gates shouting demands, and threats. What do you do in this situation "What should we do?" Asks a fellow Peacekeeper. Adkai thinks. "The threats are merely to intimidate us, and we must not open the gates!" "Well what do we do!?" The Peacekeeper asks with a seemingly paniced voice. "Are you good with the bow?" Adkai asks. "Of course, I grew up using the bow." Replies the Peacekeeper. "Then get up on the wall with me, and we will do business up there." As Adkai walks up the wall, with his ally following behind him, they pull out there bows, still hearing the screeching shouts of the bandits. "Pull your string!" Commands Adkai, as the Peacekeeper on his left is pointing a readied bow at the bandits, Adkai asks them questions. "What is your business here!? What is it you want!?" Adkai shouts with question. "Money! Gold! Blood spilling from you annoying little shits!" Says the bandit chief. Adkai takes offense. "Shoot the chief" whispers Adkai. Perfectly, the Peacekeeper's shot went through the eye hole of the bandits helm, going though his eye. Adkai grins as he sees the chief fall to the floor. The rest of the bandits stand in shock as the Peacekeeper readies yet another shot. "Leave now! Or that will happen to each of you! One, by one!" The bandits start running away in fear, still one left. An orcish bandit, with quite the amount of bravery. "What are you still doin' here!?" Shouts Adkai. The Orc says nothing, as he stands there silent. Adkai climbs down with a shining sword. The Orc sees Adkai climb down, readying his axe. Adkai walks up to him, the sword dragging on the ground, as if Adkai assumes this will be an easy battle. The Orc bluntly swings his axe, as Adkai swiftly steps behind him, places his sword on his vertebrae. "If you don't do as I say, you will end up like your chief. But in a much more painful way." Adkai whispers in his ear. The Orc frowns, making the slightest move. Adkai feels his movement, impaling the Orc in the chest. As he falls to the ground, Adkai drags the two bodies to the most nearby commander. Reporting of the happening, and still wondering, if the other bandits will come back.

OOC: Adkai's App is pretty impressive, I do not think we would resort to an execution for a refusal of paying fines on live stock kills, but apart from that I think its really good! Good luck +1 for me... :)
