*You approach the now closed gates of the grand city, Kal'Karik. As you walk closer to the gate, several pounds shake the gate and an echoing roar can be heard. You stumble back a bit and step on a piece of crumbled parchment, written as if it was in haste. You begin reading.*

If ya escaped t'e beast's destruction 'nd be readin' t'is, t'en let meh tell ya t'at all is not lost. We 'ave traveled west to mountains high t'e mine a new 'ome. Come quickly brot'ers, 'nd we will rebuild.

*The end of the parchment has no author as it was written without a smooth hand and without time.*

Returning to Karik after hearing the news, Liam walks forth towards the closed gates. He is just about to the threshold when the sounds can be heard from within, he brushes the dust that scattered downward from his helmet and shoulder guards. Liam stares at the door transfixed by the noise, he slowly backs away where he hears the rustling of parchment beneath his boot.

When Liam finishes the note, he can't help but chuckle. A sad chuckle, a chuckle more out of pity than humor.

"De fools..." he mutters, "livin' in de 'allowed halls o' pas' folk nev'r comes te any good... By de grace o' Dunnm'r I 'ope ye daft bastards made it te de moon alrigh'. Luuk who be laughin' now eh? If I listened te yer pidiful conplain's o' me clan den I would 'ave a few less Fros'beards in New Jornheim har har har.

Liam flicks the paper in the air, watching as it curls and twists downward into the rubbled stone. He contemplates on whether he should hack into the door and see the monster for himself. Liam walks closer to the door... He reaches for his axe... A roar is heard from within... Liam pounds the door with his fist, deciding that entering would not only bring death to himself, but potentially others when he puts a hole through the doors. It would simply aid the beast's escape.

... Dunnmer smiles upon the brave, not the foolish. Liam shall not risk his place in the moon today...
