  1. 1. Should Normandor and Elandriel merge into one whole nation to improve roleplay?

Greetings fellow Elves of Malinor and company!

It has come to the council and my attention that we have seen our citizens coming and going rather frequently.

We have introduced a few new and fantastic changes to Malinor as of late!

In an effort to bring more prosperous economy to Malinor, our capitol city of Normandor has introduced some extremely high praying jobs which anyone is qualified to apply for!

Due to recent events, we have been buffing our militaries as well as guard in order to help train as well as defend Malinor during events and other situations. Armour and training is always offered for those who seek to join our ranks. Please speak to the High-Magistrate Amroth for further information.

We've also lost some of our significant council members and are looking to fill in now, to bring new faces to Malinor and her government.

And finally comes a vote~ would you like to see the merge of Elandriel and Normandor to accommodate for organizations? As a council, we've been doing quite a lot of considering in this and we believe 'tis for the best. The outcome may even include cheaper, yet grander homes. What about a fantastic home on the shore? All of which can be available~ Choose wisely!

With warm regards,

High Prince Haelphon Addechio

Yes.

They should merge together, it would make sense. Though, you may have to hold another vote for the capital. That; however, might create problems. I think for my Elven brethren, we should unite under one Princedom.

Hmmm this is yet A great Idea, but I like the idea of a tree city not merged together (Maybe someone else could build another tree city for the Wood elves)I put my vote as yes I agree that they should merge bringing better income to the council and people.

Are not Elandriel and Normandor already considered under the rule of the Princedom? I am afraid I did not quite understand the question: do you mean to say that Normandor and Elandriel should be overseen by one person or somehow the cities are to be physically brought together to be merged across the whole of the island via more homes/buildings?

In any case, I do support this if it would better our Princedom. If it breathes more life into the cities, attracting more visitors and potential residents I am happy to vote yes.

Malinor's ever humble servant,

Lord Toren Neminis.

A beautiful young Dark Elf adorned in scandalous clothing wanders into the scene, her dress trails lightly along the gravel path like a spring breeze. And with her thin, sharp lips she speaks up.

I bear the words of a Mori'quessir , Staadnau. He told me to carry this message.

The slender female clears her throat slightly and lifts her chin.

Run, Elves, run from the trees.

Don't bother hiding, we'll find you with ease.

Run, Elves, run from the trees.

Don't bother thriving, or bow to our knees.

Run, Elves, run from the trees.

Don't bother fighting, the Mother's displeased.

*A parchment is nailed to this message board with a knife. It is written in common so the heathens may understand.*

"The mere fact that you blasphemous filth believe you have the ability to trade and sell land that was never your's speaks volumes of your stupidity and simplemindedness. A warning of your coming demises will not work as demonstrated by your lack of attention to the previous hundreds. Tread lightly for the time will soon come when the ground beneath you will swallow you all whole and all will once again belong to the Mother."

*leaves a letter below the Mori notes, clearly as a response*

To the Mori that have left responses,

Many of you hint towards how we, the Elves of Malinor are breaking the treaty forged many years ago. This is not so. The treaty in question, which I still posses a copy of if you wish to see it, was formed to protect both the Mori and the surface dwelling Elves, in case of a pending attack by the Dwarves, which was very possible at the time. The only mention of the trees would be that the Mori would be allowed to hunt below them for the native animals that dwell there so they may feed themselves, in return the Mori would cease their attacks against the Elves of Malinor. The Mori continue to hunt the cows and pigs unhindered, yet the kidnappings still occur. Who is the one not upholding their agreement here?

Additionally, no selling or trading of the land would occur is this went through. Normandor, is the Capitol of Malinor, of which Elandriel is part. We are considering merging the two cities so that they might be easier to manage, nothing more. None of the ancient trees would be felled as a result. Thus, you need not worry about the land, as it will remain the way it has been for the years you have dwelt here, with the addition of a few homes added here and there. I say it again, to reinforce the point, no land is being traded or sold, this would simply allow Normandor to expand to the edge of the forest so that it may continue to service the people of Malinor.

If you have any other questions, continue to post them here.

* posts a sign on the tree.*

It seems you Mori care a lot about undergrowth and weeds. The south end of Malinor had no great trees just very thick undergrowth that would choke out the sun not allowing for any grand tree seed to take root. I cleared only the under growth and now that there is a clearing to plant, I have taken seeds from the trees of Elandriel and handed them out to members of Malinor to plant along Normandor. There are already two or three grand trees reaching for the sky. We said we would tend the forest and thats what we are doing. You have to weed your garden so your harvest will grow. Growing of grand trees is no different. Elandriels forest will cover Normandor and have the trees needed for woodelves to call home. The shrubs and bushes you are getting upset about would never support a community of tree dwelling elves.
