Ooc: Looking For High Elf Children

EDIT: Because the original player (MCName ninyall) copped out of playing the eldest daughter, I would really like one more candidate to play a High Elven girl that is, as of now, born (about 1 year old now). She will progress through the first years a bit faster than usual and be two years older than the twin boys that are coming up shortly.

Hello Asulon. It won't be long until the wedding of Haelun'ors own Ellir'siol and Talias. Now, these two would like nothing more than to celebrate their union by bringing forth some pure High Elven children, the beginners of their own noble family. This will require upwards of three children, preferably at least one of either gender.

Some practical details:

• 
  
  
• You will be playing the child of some big authority figures in Haelun'or. Because of the culture this gives you little to no political benefits, but does put IC pressure to act like a lore-correct High Elf.
  
• Last name Elsiol (= 'The Lonely'). First name can be chosen freely if so desired (if not you'll be given a fitting Elven Name).
  
• Will be taught culture and language of the High Elves in RP.
  
• Normal IG age progression.
  
• Character can be an alt, but must be the only character you play affiliated to Haelun'or. This is just to prevent wrongful interaction and possible meta.
  
• Might be indoctrinated with excessive pride. To what extent is up to the player.
  
• Will most likely be taking up a position of importance within Haelun'or (tiger mother ;) )

This looks like a wonderful role-playing opportunity, although I am probably undeserving of it. As of late, my role-play has been sub-par (as you've seen by my recent character: Cirdon Lorus, who I have not really enjoyed playing), and through this character I have learned that utter uniqueness in a character is not always the best thing to do, and also that I should not watch Red Dead Redemption videos before I decide to come up with a new character. XD

I would enjoy taking this opportunity if you would allow me, although I have no RP experience as a child or infant. I believe however, that it would be quite entertaining to play a character from the very start of his life, or possibly a few years after. It would also, as I see it, be quite fun engaging others in role-play as neither an overly tolerant, nor utterly "strange" high elf, as both of my previous characters have turned out to be.

If you would allow it, then I would gladly take this role, and play it to the best of my ability. I am unaware of how often I will be playing this character, but as long as I am not role-playing with someone important who is to join this server soon (who I will greatly enjoy RPing with and will be looking forward to it!), then I will gladly play on my alternate if someone requests it, or I have the simple wish to play it.

Well, I do have a concern, but I'd love to take you on as my child and I am sure Talias would also. This would be a the third High Elven character you are starting on, and while the loss of the first two was already regrettable, this one is going to be almost invaluable to our personal roleplay. I'd like it if you at least get into the pact planning to devote a few hours at week for a considerable amount of time. No resets. Ideally, you'd get truly dedicated to the bloodline and have your character continue it in his own schedule as well.

If you think this is something you can do I'd be happy to take you on board. Give it some thought :)

Well, I've received a lot of applicants and have my three spots filled. I would bump you up in priority, but to be honest I also really like your child character as he is now.

I suppose we can make an IC arrangement where you are adopted into the bloodline, which shall give you all of the same RP the children will receive, the only difference being you aren't biologically born. In HE lore, though, this does not matter at all, all that matters is merit. However, as far as adoption goes I'm not sure how much Lona will like it. Then again, she might agree from her little pen in Menorcress that she isn't in a position to be a good mother. ;)

When you are agreeing to being adopted, I'll expect you to follow a normal age progression, though.
