Walking into a stiff breeze, Josef has one hand on his cane and another grabbing his hat, trying to keep it from flying off. Suddenly, something wraps itself around his left leg. Grumbling, he lets go of the cane to pick it up and prepares to let the wind take it away again. Curiosity gets the better of him and he reads it. Recognizing the name, he finds a space in a grove of trees where the wind does not penetrate and writes a reply. Attaching it to his bird, he watches the creature head off, hoping it makes to the destination in one piece.

Dear Hapsi,

I send you a letter earlier regarding beds, and now regarding your request for meat. I have in my storage several cuts of salted and dried beef, pork and chicken. Send the bird back to arrange a time and place for the transaction.

While walking to the road to <insert nation Hapsi's inn is near here>, she notices a paper nailed to a tree. Falifra rips the paper off of the tree, and reads it, mumbling to herself.

"Mhmm. . . I may be able ter get animals. . . I have a lot of wheat, that I don't need. . . I shall get the cows to this Hapsi!"

Falifra walks off, looking for cows to steal.
