Religious_Pie 127 Share Posted April 16, 2012 *Nroca finishes reading the message board and scowls* Ha, Mirtok, you think you knew Gaius? You think you knew what he would do? Gaius would usurp you of your throne. Gaius was a strong leader, you are weak. Gaius knew how to create a powerful military, you only weakened it. Orcs would probably still be allies with Hanseti if you were not the leader. Good soldiers would not have died if you had not decided to join this war. Gaius would have stepped back from the fight and have seen it take place. You made a stupid decision and there is no way you can avoid the blame. A stupid "speech" will do nothing. Face it Mirtok, you may not believe it, but you failed. You failed your military, you failed your people, you failed your nation. *As Sherlock reopens his door, he catches a bewildered man mumbling at a Pieces of paper. He hears the man, and stomps up to him, shadowing him from the light in his armour.* "You're a fool...Mirtok existed as an Ordenmarschall of the Black Cross decades ago, back in Aegis, Gaius taught Mirtok himself, he may not be as skilled as Gaius, but he's an adequate leader all the same. Also, who are you to question him? Who are you to know how to lead a nation? That's right. A no one." *Sherlock raises his gauntlet, ready to strike the man, he swings it and stops bruntly* "You're not worth it..."

You question man and attempt to strike at me and you don't even know my ability. You have no idea of my work, my skills as a leader. Answer this question, why would a leader send his soldiers into a war in which they know they can not win? Hanseti was against all odds. Hanseti was fighting the orcs, warriors since the beginning of time. Hanseti was fighting the elves, skilled archers of the forests. Hanseti was fighting the Alrasians, noble soldiers. Hanseti was fighting major threats when they did not have to. Hanseti had no chance to win and only allowed the loss of more life. How is this not failure? Give me a reason. Patthebakr 10 Share Posted April 16, 2012 * As his curiosity grew, Garret decided to examine the note left on his doorstep, reading the letter withholding his emotions until thy burst out, as always.* "I don't know what to tink anymore. Whenever I'd visit ot'er nations, tey all seemed quite straightforward in tere actions against Salvus, but after te death o' Dawn, te clean-up o' te Ordinators, what else does Salvus possibly threaten us wit? Nether, tat recent riot was just a show of who was really on te immoral side. Te rebels used te stand fer sometin, sometin more tan violence and "revolution". Now tey're no worse tan te Ordinators. I expect tere te be some wit honor still among 'em, but after ye burn down an inn and force a military force into tey're compound, what do ye expect b'sides death? Te Ordinators 'ad every right te defend 'emselves, and I'm sure Lorethos would agree wit me. Gods, tey even spared tose witout armor and weapons! Te rebels 'ave gotten outta control, tey want war, not justice. If ye jest want death to tose in power, what makes ye different tan a simple bandit, lookin fer te next kill? Gods, tere be no rest fer te wicked, no where, no how."

Give me a reason. *Seeing the familiar face of Sherlock talking to a man near one of his letters, Mirtok steps forth towards the two. After hear hearing much of the conversation Mirtok simply states . . . A man who won't die for something is not fit to live. Hanseti will fight against the injustice in Asulon, we will fight against greed and wrongful bloodshed and we will only be stopped when our very idea is crushed from this world. If men only acted when the odds were in their favor we would be robbed of great men, Gaius included. Gaius dared the evil forces of the Undead and the disharmonious legion of Oren and crafted something great. He spoke out with a small band of soldiers and challenged the large forces, and because he took the risk for what he belived was right the Order has become something other than another power hungry guild. Something that lives on almost 80 years later, still upholding strength, still upholding righteousness and doing all we can for you, for your families and the people who inhabit this place. I am to blame for Hanseti's state, I'll admit it. But with that blame comes the light that I will use to burn a path into the clouded eyes of the Orcs, Alras, and the rebels so that some day it may heal pure and remain pure even after we are dead and gone.
The Lion 736 Share Posted April 16, 2012 *Stands on top of Watcher Statd, watching the quiet men of the order training. Darius can sense a heavy lack of morale and fear coming from the men, he decides to break the silence in an attempt to raise morale.* Stand for justice and what is right We stand together against this plight Hold your swords and grip your axes March to war to kick some asses Hardened men of the south we are The coalition shall not go far Honor the fallen and cherish the dead For the enemy shall join Iblees instead Grit your teeth and keep on walking We have all the others talking Men of the black Go with your brother they have your back Divided we are nothing Stand together and show them something Injustice, greed, power, and pain They shall not exist for we are their bane! Abeam 511 Share Posted April 16, 2012 Continues sharpening his blade, content on the situation. My ancestors smile upon me, we are doing what is truly good. Looks back at his brother, Firali, who is warming his hands by the fire. Caeldrim then smirks, and continues sharpening the blade.

The Lion 736 Share Posted April 18, 2012 *Darius comes forth from the shadows towards Mirtok and company* I've seen you before, a human living in the shadow of the orcs. It seems you can claim no honor and respect, coming forth and insulting a king in his own domain. I will admit it was a bold move on your part coming here alone, but it was foolish. You could have been at the bottom of a feeding trough for our pigs before sundown, now slink on back to your desert before you catch a cold.
