How To Obtain Your Skin Screenshot!

Note: I'll tidy this up in a bit. iPod's aren't exactly great for formatting.

It appears a lot of applicants to the server, are unsure of what the 'skin in the proper format means', and either don't give a skin, or post the skin.png.

By skin in the proper format, we want an in-game screenshot of the skin you will be playing. You can obtain such, by doing the following:

- Open Minecraft after you have applied your roleplay skin to your account, via minecraft.net

- Go into a single player world

- Find a clear area, so we can see a clear view of your skin.

- Double tap F5 so you get a clear view of the front of your character.

- Hit F1 to disable the GUI

- Hit F2, which takes a screenshot.

- Close Minecraft

You now have your screenshot, but it's hidden away inside files. To get the screenshot, you must then:

Windows Vista / Windows 7

- Open windows explorer, by opening My Documents / Pictures etc.

- Type %appdata% in the address bar, an hit enter.

- Once loaded go to /roaming/.minecraft/screenshots

- Find your screenshot

- Copy and paste it to your dekstop

Windows XP

- Go to ApplicationData/.minecraft

- Go to the screenshots folder

+ Copy and paste your screenshot to your desktop.

Mac OS X:

~/Library/Application Support/.minecraft/screenshots

Linux:

~/.minecraft/screenshots

You now have your skin, in a screenshot clearly showing for us. We can't see it on your PC though, so:

- Upload the screenshot to a image sharing website, (e.g. Imgur,Imageshack, Tinypic, Photobucket.)

- Take the BB / Forum code from there! It will be written like

- Paste the BB code onto your applIcation form where it asks for your skin.

And there you have it! You've managed to get your skin. Now - go finish the rest of your application.

That's what your supposed to do, press F5 (or shift+F5) twice to make it so you are looking backwards at yourself in third person, Then take the screenshot.

Try posting your photo on imgur or any other image website then copy paste the url of the image onto the little picture icon. You can size it anyway you like that way.

To upload a screenshot go into your minecraft files through minecraft-edit profile-open game directory-screenshots

 

Then use http://imgur.com/ to upload it by dragging and dropping it  and pasting the forums link on the right of the page one uploaded.
