Roleplaying is when a player takes on the life of another character, be it devised by that player or given to him/her, and breathes life into this template of a character. When we roleplay, we become somebody else for a temporary amount of time, trying our best to play the character as this character would live.

In your own Words, define what the act of Metagaming is:

Metagaming is the act of using out-of-character information to detract from the roleplay and, usually, benefit the metagamer. For instance, using a nameplate to stop a vault robbery, or knowing a character's identity through armor.

In your own Words, define what the act of Powergaming is:

Powergaming is the act of roleplaying unrealistically and in an overpowered fashion in order to ensure one's character "wins" the situation, even though roleplay has no winners and losers. An example of this is to roleplay as a lvl 9000 shadow mage that can harness the powers of the dead and possess everybody with the snap of his fingers. That's stupid.

Gronkk drops to the floor, his cushy rear-end providing adequate shock absorption for his bones. He scratches his bald head, his index finger accidentally going into a wound that he hadn’t noticed, and eyes the blood a on his finger, chuckling slightly with a vacant expression upon his face. After a few minutes of chuckling, he finishes with an “Eur hur” and turns up to the warboss asking who he is, and begins to speak.

“Gronkk wuz boarn tuu a uugly ash,” mi faada blah tuu mi wen Gronkk wuz just a cub, ulso blah dat mi wuz a sakah glob. Gronkk boarn in da Warnashun bak in Aygis, bud Gronkk wuz ash nubhosh cub, “tuu liddle and kry tuu much” faada blah den him kik mi uur mayk Gronkk guu kiss ash boar ur sumtin big uund daingerus. Den Gronkk kry liddle moar, bicuz big ting am huurt Gronkk uund bicuz faada nub lik Gronkk. Gronkk stops at the mention of halfling, and begins to stare off into the distance, the idea of eating halfling overwhelming his short attention span. His eyes gloss over and drool begins to slide down the side of his half-open mouth, while he constantly utters a monotonous and absent “Uuuuuuuuurrrrrrr”. After the Warboss punches him in the face a couple of times, he snaps back to reality.

Eur hur. Gronkk tink dat mi lurnin da lusk and da cuukin bubhosh, reelly bubhosh, uund mi am big now tuu! Smacks his round pot-belly and grunts, amused at the rumbling of it. Maybeh da Warnashun will am lik Gronkk agen.

Gronkk lik da Alras, bud mi am miss home an da Warnashun. Mi am guud wid da lusk an hottin firah, suu Gronkk klomp uund cuuk fud fur da warnashun, den mi kan bi bubhosh.

The Warboss takes a moment to inspect Gronkk, looking him up and down.

The Warboss laughs at Gronkk and begins pointing out his flaws.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Gronkk smells the scent of halfling meat while plodding down King’s Road aimlessly, and drool begins to flow profusely from his mouth and all over his chest. With a smack of his belly and a quick “Eur hur” to nobody in particular, he begins to waddle quickly down the road in an attempt to run. His agility is lacking, and when he sees the two armed men robbing the halflings, he can do little else but barrel into them. Amongst the tangle of human arms, iron armor and dumb orc, Gronkk attempts to push way onto his feet with little success, and he frowns as the halfling scurries away.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Gronkk lets his mouth crack into a wide, dumb smile with all his teeth showing, and the gaps in which teeth are missing. “Hai... uhh.. mi meen Ug. Ug. Eur hur.” He then leans closely to the merchant, still smiling foolishly, and smells the merchant. After being unsatisfied with the clean, manufactured scent of the merchant, Gronkk leans back and chews on the wood of the stall in an attempt to cause the irritation in his rear molar to subside, likely a splinter stuck in his gums from chewing on so much random stuff. Meanwhile, Gronkk is completely oblivious to the shock and confusion painted across the merchant’s face.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

After trying to chew his way through the wooden walls, Gronkk would try the doorknob, but upon it being locked he headbutts his way through the window. After giggling like a little child and skipping around the empty home, tearing up the occasional book and eating a cushion, he notices the chest and opens it. The shininess of the contents hypnotize him for a bit, his mouth contouring into a wide, toothed smile. He remains there for an hour or two, before hearing a zombie outside and running into the bedroom and hiding underneath the bed. Come dawn, he leaves the home in search of food, forgetting about the shiny objects.

This is an application for an orc alt account - not an original application to the server, and those are mainly just for paperwork.

Entering the server usually is a prerequisite for a villain application, the Va does not precede applying...
