Ya bipolar it is, not trying to be mean but it would make a lot of people mad to have a cap, and it wouldnt fit with lore as the whole ironfist clan is over 7 by a lot and the family is to close to be broken.

Getting people mad isn't my intention. I was just trying to point out that there is more nobles then there is commoners and that shouldn't be.

Actually, according to the way Dwarven Society works, it can, and often should. Don't apply real-life principles such as that to LOTC, especially not Human ones.

We do have too many nobles. Let your clan Lord do the talking not you

All of you are now commoners under my noble reign problem solved! I knew people would start acting like this once the word "nobel" was added... After the system is implemented I am to be respected as the true king not a elected president who is your equal as some of you act like now.

Also I am thinking about villager caps that would sprea ddwarves out on the land so it is being used to its full potential, (40 per city 20 per town)

Force all the new dwarves into commoner clans and make the commoners swear fealty to the noble clan they are bound to.

Yes, I understand that is how dwarven society works, but if everyone is a noble, then in reality no one is?

I suggest we shave the very ambiguous group 'noble' into different tiers.

High Nobles - ideally the king should be drawn from the ranks of this if and when Kjell dies. Consists of the heads of the noble houses.

Low Nobility - children of the high nobles, next in line for their houses etc

Petty Nobles - Distantly related to the heads of the family and bastard children. They would wield a similar amount of power to a wealthy commoner.

This is just rough as I know the decisions ultimately don't lie with me.

The clan lords (one from each) when kjell dies or something we will come together and nominate with overall support a new king. If its half and half or conflict throw them into the arena and let the true dwarf win.

why not a metocracy? this will allow clasn members who are active to become noble. when the whole clan is noble people start to think they are better, even when they dont do anything. with a metocracy you can become a noble, when you are a good noble you become a respected lord. i also like hiebe´s idea, but hiebe, you clan has 5 leaders... if we have a meeting with all the clans you guys can vote on yourself, what is pretty unfair. or people are going to do the same and then the meetings will be crowded.

Hiebe would be the person at the meeting as each clan may only be represented once.

Edit: I wrote his system a bit ago and I feel we are moving closer to it: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/42199-lying-down-plugin-idea/page__fromsearch__1

And why would Hiebe be above myself?
