CowsGoMoo 267 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Ever, since you're rather busy right now. I guess I should take the initiation of continuing the RP? Again, if you guys do not like this situation, feel free to void this and make your own, or say so yourself. Ever has two situations planned out, if he feels like mine is somehow not following his, he can also void this completely.. I'll just attempt to continue the RP, since... well, nothing is really going on anymore, and I'm REALLY curious what's waiting for us at the Temple. (Aside from of course, the army of dwarves just waiting to gut us with axes.) Domelvia frowns, the sun in the sky was too bright, even with her eyes shut. She opens her eyes and squints, the sun was in the middle of the sky. Domelvia groggily sits up and looks around, it looked as if they had packed up the camp, and was beginning to set off again. "EVERYONE! Pack your things! LAAAST CALL! We'll leave anyone who doesn't leave, RIGHT NOW!" Ugh, it was that noisy eye-patched man again... Domelvia stumbles on her feet and shoves her tiny blanket into her bag. Her hand brushes across her ultimate weapon, an orcish dictionary. The book was bound firmly with thick leather, amazingly enough, it had saved her life MANY times. She quickly stumbles back on her feet, and quickly looks around seeing that the group had already gathered. She sprints over, forgetting about the fatigue she is feeling, and before she knew it, they were off again. The days passed by quickly, the group was not as silent as before, laughing and loud rambling is heard throughout their adventure. The forest suddenly became extremely dense on their forth day, the sky disappeared in the leaves and the sound of the wilderness can be heard. At night, wolf howls were heard, so they decided to set a person in charge of the fire, and had shifts for people to stay awake at night, making sure nothing dangerous enters camp. The dense forest ended as quickly as it began, and they suddenly found themselves on a plain. "Careful, the winds during storms here are capable of making halflings fly, and any poor fellow roll on the ground for miles. The lightning is also fabled to turn any one who is struck by it, into cooked porkchops! I wouldn't complain about that though, I'm starving!" The plain proved to be extremely easier to travel, the ground more smooth and straight, unlike the forest's uneven surface and many trees. They had traveled a great distance by the third day. "Seems like we're actually getting somewhere!" Then, on the fifth day... BOOOOM Drip. Drip. Drip. Ba. Da. Ba. Dum. Ba dum, badum, badum, badum, pata, pata, pata. The whole group turned and looked up at the sky, it had began to rain almost magically. The sky was clear, there wasn't even a cloud in sight! Then, quite suddenly, the whole sky became dark and covered with clouds, the rain was pounding against the group. The wind roared angrily, their clothes blowing wildly in the wind. ZAAAP!, the ground, only a couple feet away was struck by lightning, leaving the grass charred. A thundering sound is heard three seconds later. "Everyone! Get down!" EmeraldStag 165 Share Posted June 3, 2012 I Like this so I'm gonna post with it, if it is void, make this void as well ALSO sorry if it sounds like a Mary Sue or trying to be center of rp whatever it is called, tell me if it is and I can change it Midori dive bombs for the ground with enough force that the slick ground makes her slide 5 feet until she stops, covered in mud, though she doesn't care. She then puts her hands to cover her ears to block out the sound of thunder. She then lifts her head to see if the others are OK. Some have hit the ground and others just standing in shock. There were a few that have run out into the fields and one of them got hit by lightning. Poor girl, Midori thinks. What a horrid way to die. I hope that isn't how I will d-. Lightning strikes the ground 3 feet in-font of her, the bright light damages her retina, causing her temporary blindness. She had jumped up from *** being so close and she lands backward in the mud. She turns her head trying to see the others, but the lightning has temporarily blinded her.
Watyll 1104 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Scag scurries away, dodging lightning blast after lightning blast. One hits directly in front of him. Whoa, that one was close! He thought. It's a good thing lightning never strikes the same spot tw- he barely thinks the words when a bolt of lightning hits him. The explosion knocks him back like a rag doll. He is dazed, but otherwise okay. He smells something in the air, like burning pork. He looks down and seems something terrifying. His leg is gone. There is no bleeding, just a burnt stump starting just above where his knee used to be. Then Scag Miller, pirate and master of profanity utters two words. "Well damn." Then the pain hits and he falls to unconsciousness.
CowsGoMoo 267 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Domelvia didn't know the warm wet feeling coming down from the back of her dress was pee, or just the rain. Domelvia was ashamed of what she knew it was. She makes a mental note to punch herself if she lived through this storm. Her eyes were sealed shut, and she gripped onto the grass tightly as if her life depended on it. Zaaap! Booom.... ZAP! ZAP! ZAAAAP! Boom! BOOM! BOOOOOOM! Domelvia chokes on her saliva, and begins to cough, sobbing at the same time. BRZZZ! Domelvia's hair rose, as she felt a flash of heat right next to her. Domelvia gulps down her saliva, and gasps. That one was awfully close. She heard people screaming and yelling, some screams sounded far away... Did the wind blow some people away? It was impossible, such big winds would be ridiculous and unrea- Domelvia suddenly realizes she is floating in the air. Her eyes snap open. The wind had not blown her away only because of her grip on the grass, which was surprisingly firm on the ground. Domelvia screams, crawling forward in her floating position, her hair blowing madly out from behind her. THFUNK, Domelvia jerks back, THWUNK! The grass, it was... it was... SNAP! The grass uproots. Domelvia suddenly remembers a conversation she had with a man who she had met on a tree, "I wish I was bird, like Eri!... I would fly around, perch on trees... and well, do bird things...! Wouldn't that be just greeeeaaat!?" Well. The wish just came true.
xmrsmoothx 317 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Nikola, at first sitting in the trees, stumbles out into the rain. He takes the chance for clean water - a rare possibility for him - and opens his arms, dropping his jacket to the ground. He reaches up to his face with his palms and rubs his skin vigorously, dislodging at least some of the dirt caked into his pores. "... Praise the good lord..." Nikola lets out a hearty laugh, hoisting his coat from the ground and beating it out in the rain jovially, joyous at the chance to be somewhat more clean. He tucks his jacket into his belt and cups his hands under the rain, letting them fill with water, and lifts them up to his mouth, finally quenching his parched throat. Nikola rummages through his rucksack for a dried cow's stomach canteen, and tugs off the cap. His face smiles stupidly as it fills with rainwater. When the vessel is overflowing, he takes a long drink and pops the cap back on. Crack. Nikola flinches at the lightning, which strikes a nearby tree. He throws his canteen back into his rucksack and glances around uneasily. Donning his coat once more, he sprints off to the nearest shelter - a short canopy of fruit trees. He rolls into the mud and cowers under them as the storm rages.
Αμφίονας 41 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Amfionas falls down on the ground covering his head from the intence lighting strikes. "This is not good" he thought. They needed a place to cover. Lighting strikes hit the ground beside him leaving small craters. Many are being hiten directly while others run or fall into the soft grass. He begins to scan he forest around him and the fields for a place to hide. The only place that seems safe is a gap between two giant rocks which barely can provide shelter for 20 people. The trees provide cover with the their leaves. He had no idea if that would prevent lighting from hitting them but there was no wind there and thus making it better than being completely exposed. He picks himself up and starts running toward there. "Everyone take cover between these rocks!" As he runs like hell he looks around for the fate of his companions. Many have fallen to the ground and others follow him. Having reached this natural shelter he looks around to the people who acted as he told. They were too few. He pulls his head out to the fierce wind and looks at the people still out there. Many have gotten killed or injured, unable to move. Suddenly he spots something else on the sky beyond heavy drops of rain and grey clouds. The dark-elf cook is flying around completely unable to do anything to get down. Several halfings and light-weighted people hath joined her making a weird dance in the sky. He stands there completely stunned by this strange sighting. His single eye witnesses something more though. The huntress is moving around and tripping as she has no idea of direction. He sighs angered and disappointed and dashes towards her with big leaps trying to stay alive. "Art thou out of thy mind?" He grabs her hand and starts leading her to shelter, as fast as possible with lighting strikes hitting furiously the land next to them. Drama Queens. Just kidding :D. I suggest Domelvia lands on top of someone. Anyway someone else will need to save scug and Domelvia.
EmeraldStag 165 Share Posted June 3, 2012 She tries to walking around, trying to feel for anyone to help her. She tries calling out, but the wind drowns out her voice. Midori feels someone grab her hand and hears "Art thou out of thy mind?" She is pulled away by Amfionas. She recognizes his voice and is glad that someone has come to help her."I-I have no clue as to why mine eyes have lost their sight." She says as he pulls her along. In a low voice she says, "T-thank you for fetching me." As they run towards where ever it is he is taking her, she can only hope that nothing else could go wrong. Already she could hear the shouts, pleas, and cries of the people that are hurt or flying around. She still is blinded and doesn't know how much farther they have to go. [EDIT] <_> I had said if it was something along the lines of against the rules as attention hogging character I said to tell me~
Space 2335 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Aeran shakes under the cover of the rock, his teeth making a slight chattering noise. His head feels like it's in a vise, but other then that he unscathed. He surveys the group of people, eventually staring at the ground. He did not see too many faces... The group was scared and wet. But atleast they were alive. 'Lightning...' He mummbles, putting his arm under his head and falling asleep.
Αμφίονας 41 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Amfionas keeps running towards shelter looking around the raging sky in a pointless attempt to predict where would the lighting strike. He hears something the huntress said about her eyesight but he does not want to loose focus. He mutters a few words of encouragement to her as they keep going. After a short run which surprisingly seemed like an eternity they reach the shelter. He let's her go and pants like hell trying to catch his breath forgetting for the time being everyone else. ooc: Again it was just a joke. These things are pretty fun so no worries. I never roleplay something that seems too stupid or bad or have unnecessary "hogging" and this was interesting. Also this applies to anyone else. everblue2er101 906 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Kernith is scared. It's not an unfamiliar sensation for him, but it is one he tries to avoid. Fear is counterproductive, makes him seem weak. During the Orc attack, he had hardly been afraid. But now, with the full force of the elements against them... An Orc, at least, could be dispatched with an arrow to the eye. Lightning followed no such rule. So far as he knew, there would be no way of stopping the storm, nothing they could do except hide. And so he did. As the rain started and the lightning followed, when the electricity first slammed into the ground all around them, the group collapsed into chaos. People slipped, fell, were struck, ran, hid. Kernith was nearly blinded by the rain. He realized that shelter was a priority and aimed for a rocky outcropping. To his relief, there appeared to be a small opening in front. With a yell that could hardly be heard over the wind and rain he gestured to it, a relatively safe place to seek shelter. A few others came forth, and they stepped into the small cave. It wasn't really dry, since the rain lashed so hard it even managed to soak the inside, but the lightning couldn't penetrate it. Kernith felt uneasy as he hid. Surely, people were injured outside at this point. He should at least try and help them, get some people to safety. But then, a lightning bolt slammed into the ground outside the cave entrance, sending a tree crashing to the ground. Kernith jumped back, stumbling on one of the others. With horror and dismay he saw that the fallen tree nearly covered the entrance to the cave. There was a small hole at the top where one could probably squeeze through. Once the storm passed, maybe. Until then he didn't think it would be safe to leave.

EmeraldStag 165 Share Posted June 3, 2012 I decided to post because of impatience for others. She leans back against a rock and sits on the ground, panting. She desperately rubs her eyes trying to get them to see again but, it doesn't work. Now that she is safe, for the most part, a thought occurs to her. What if I am permanently blind? What if they leave me behind because I am now unfit for combat? What will happen to me once the rain stops? And Where did this rain come from? She thinks these and many more thoughts but says nothing for a long time. She looks up, in the other direction then Amfionas is standing and says, "T-thanks for bringing me to safty, I would of never been able to find a please to wait-out this storm."
