at least 20 hours a week, on a bad week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:Roleplaying is taking on the role of a character. To almost throw away your own personality and using your characters personality instead. Also knowing and following what your character can and cannot do.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have been on 'Roleplaying' servers in the past, none of them very good nor dedicated though. I also spend most of my time Roleplaying on Skyrim. I have been Roleplaying on games like Runescape before i even knew what Roleplaying was.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-gaming is using you own knowledge and using it to your characters or other characters advantage. IE. Your friend tells you the cords of somewhere over skype and you then go to that area. This is meta-gaming because your character wouldn’t normally know how to get there. You used knowledge that you had learned to get him there. Had your friend of walked there, you following behind him, it would have been legitimate because you’re following him and learning the way, rather than using OOC knowledge.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power gaming is when a character uses abilities that creates an unfair advantage to another player. Often the other player doesn't even have a chance to react to what's happening, let alone act upon it.

IE.

'Player 1 casts fire spell which annihilates player 2.'

This is considered power-gaming because there was no way player 2 could of survived or even reacted. a more fair scenario would be.

'Player 1 charges a fire-bolt and fires it. As it flies through the air, player 2 Pulls out his shield and blocks it.'

In-Character:

Character Name:

Relenkai

What Race are you?:

Human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Relenkai lives within a simple family of Blacksmiths. at 15 he had already become a fine crafter, mastering almost all of his father's weapons and armour, and creating some recipes of his own. Relenkai owns the appearance of the average civilian from his home town, Thislleiy. Scruffy, brown hair, bright, blue eyes and a stern, tanned face. He has a tall, stocky build and can hold his own pretty decently in a fist fight.

At a Young age, Relenkai realized his passion for adventure. Starting off with pretend treasure hunts that his mom would set up, he later found a love for discovering and exploring new areas, rather than the average, Home-loving Thisslian. Relenkai always found himself limiting himself on his adventures because of his worrying parents, until one day his dad told him the story of Asulon, a far off land, rich with minerals unheard of in the lands of Thissleiy, and filled with adventure and unknown creatures. His father mentioned Dragons and a portal into the underworld. Relenkai became overly facsinated with these tales, even though his father said it was mere myth. At the age of 16, the age of maturity in Thissleiy, Relenkai packed his bags and left Thislley, searching for the land of legend known as Asulon. Many adventures later,Relenkai reaches Asulon. His first few weeks were frightening to him, contantly being attacked by strange creepers, Relenkai was close to death, until he met Galthor,a warrior native to the lands of Asulon. after some minor trust issues, they became friends. Galthor protected Relenkai and Relenkai made the best weapons that he could (with the little equipment he had) to ensure that Galthor could fight efficiently. The Duo seemed to be faring pretty well, and now, with almost no personal belongings, they live together, facing the adventure that is, Asulon.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

To craft with the strongest materials in Asulon

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Map. Relenkai has gotten lost on many adventures. A map is the only tool that really helps him on adventures. Since he isn’t very good in armed fights, a weapon would do no use and he’s not much for heavy working like mining and forestry so tools like axes and pickaxes would also be useless to him.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Blacksmithing. Relenkai has never known anything other than blacksmithing. (aside from his adventures). He inherited his father’s love for the craft and spent a lot of time improving himself in the craft.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):

Other Information about your Character:

Relenkai was once the greatest singer in all of Thissleiy, but after a serious throat disease, was unable to hit the simplest of notes.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Relenkai watches in awe as the warriors harass the Halfling. He crouches in a nearby bush hoping that the bandits don’t see them. Relenkai become burnt up with anger at the site of someone so innocent being harassed like that. He decides that his stomach cannot take any more of the site and tries to sneak off. Relenkai has never been the sneakiest off boys, so when he got up, the sound of breaking leaves and twigs could be heard very easily. The warriors stop and stare down Relenkai. The first warrior sizes him up and threatens “Move on unless you want some of this.” The second warrior laughs and continues to the torture of the Halfling. Relenkai slowing backs off, to stunned to make a run for it. During all of his adventures, Relenkai has rarely been in the face of death. In the odd time that Relenkai’s demise was approaching, it would be to hunger, thirst or infection. Warrior two then speaks up.

“Just go after the kid. He might have a bit of valuables on him.”

“Alright then!” The warrior lets out a battle cry and darts towards Relenkai. Relenkai saw the rushing warrior and snapped back to reality. He saw that the Warrior still remained about 30 feet away, giving him enough time to make a run for it. Relenkai was by no means one of the fastest men alive, but he could run at a decent enough speed to out run a man who was carrying weapons and wore armour. Relenkai escapes and now avoids cloud temple.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Relenkai Glances at the various crafting materials in the stall, the iron bars immediately catch his eyes. Relenkai is short on money, and is in no way a ‘haggler’, so he feels nervous about asking the price in case he is short on money.

"How much for the bars?"

Merchant "45 minas a bar"

Relenkai searches in his pocket to see that he is short on cash, knowing that he lacks the ability to haggle he says "thank you, but I can't quite afford them, I’ll be on my way." Before he could leave the merchant grabs his shoulder. Relenkai jumps and gasps. “I’m sorry, but wouldn’t you like to have a look at the other items?” Relenkai takes a quick glance at the other items and seems some torn, leather armour and some beat up chest plates. He politely shakes his head and leaves, deciding to stay as far away from that merchant as possible.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Relenkai’s adventurous side takes over. He stumbles and rushes to but the iron bars in his pack. A bar slips and falls on his foot. The agony begins to torcher his body as he yelps out his pain.

After a minute or two of cries and curses, Relenkai calms down and soothes himself. He remembers that the place is abandoned and continues taking the bars at a slower rate, being more cautious. Finally, when all of the bars are safely in his bag, he wields and takes a few practice swings with the sword. The sword was unalike most golden items that he has encountered. It was light and easy to swing, rather than the heaviness of the average gold token. Still, he knows that weapons aren’t his forte, but still takes it to study the way it was crafted.

Relenkai turns around and freezes at the sight of a man standing in the doorway. The man was middle-aged; he wore a cloak and some torn rags underneath. His beard and hair were short and well kept, but his face looked worn and tired. He spoke in a low, raspy voice. “What are you doing boy.” Relenkai gets a grip on his situation and raises the sword. The arm that wielding the sword trembles in fear; Relenkai has never used a weapon on a man. The most experience he had with weapons was shooting chickens with his uncle’s bow at a very young age, but when they realized he had no particular talent for battle, they never continued practicing. “Drop the weapon son, would you really use it anyway?” The man’s voice soothes Relenkai. He remains frightened but becomes slightly relieved that the man is offering an exit that does not include battle. Relenkai drops the sword and looks anxiously at the man. The man steps away from the door and gestures for Relenkai to leave. Relenkai seizes the opportunity and runs.

Miles away, Relenkai searches his bag and realizes that he had not returned the iron bars. He decides not to return to the home and wonders if the man had purposely let him have them.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Relenkai looks from villager to villager. The hunger eats at him from the inside causing severe disorientation. The villager speaks again “Are you okay, child?” Relenkai nods and instantly becomes dizzy. He stumbles over but manages to keep his balance. He glances at the villagers and mumbles. The villagers don’t understand him and ask him to repeat himself. Relenkai manages to speak.

“Fair day, in’ it?” The villager chuckles and replies.

“For most yes, but you look exhausted.”

“Well I haven’t eaten, nor slept for that matter.” Again Relenkai becomes dizzy, this time blacking out. He awakes in a small hut, food lying beside him on a table. He gathers his strength and reaches for the food. He takes a bite of bread, chews and through immense pain, swallows it. Relenkai feels a little bit better having food in his stomach. He sits up and finishes his meal.

After his meal, Relenkai leaves his hut and is greeted by a villager. “Good sleep I hope” Relenkai smiles and replies.

“Yes, I feel much better.” Relenkai walks around the village being greeted by various villagers until he reaches the villager whom he had been talking to before he passed out. “Thank you, for your hospitality , sir” The villager looks surprised and replies

“You’re leaving already?”

“I must continue on my journey, with food in my stomach and a fair rest I should be alright for a while. Once again thank you.” Relenkai bids farewell to the remaining villagers and continues on his journey.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Relenkai stares at the guard and the rest of his troops. He sizes each warrior up in his mind and figures that they could handle this themselves. “I’m sorry, but no. Fighting isn’t necessarily my forte, I’d be glad to help in another way though.” The guard sighs and replies. “That’s alright, all we truly need are some fighters.” He then turns to his men and commands “Onward men, there is no point in letting the bandits terrorize the roads any longer.” The sound of armour clunking around begins to build as the small battalion makes their way out of the village and onto the roads.

Hours later the battalion returns, only it has been reduce to a mere 4 men. The men look beaten up. Cuts burn across their faces and bruises are stamped across their arms. Relenkai and a hand full of villagers run to their aid. Most of the villagers seemed too afraid to ask what happened until Relenkai finally asked. The guard sighed and grunted in pain and replied. “We were walking toward the bandit camp, when we arrived there were only a dozen of them. After a quarter hour of fighting, we were winning. 4 of their men retreated and 3 were seriously injured.” The guard to a break and made strange noises in agony. “but then more came. The whole battle was an ambush, they just waited for the right time to stike.” Relenkai was shocked, but he knew he couldn’t stay in the village any longer. He rushed to pack his things, leaving the village behind with no good byes, hoping that the bandits don’t hurt them to badly when they decide to strike.
