Izo (charles/Sealhorn) 16 Share Posted August 17, 2012 well, it'd be logical that different names would arise for it under all of the different language groups
Wizard 125 Share Posted August 18, 2012 I would say the biggest thing if we decided on a new name is that it is easy to say. Make sure new people joining the server, aren't immediately thrown off because of some confusing long name.
Izo (charles/Sealhorn) 16 Share Posted August 18, 2012 inevitably, the human or elven name would likely be the primary one used to talk to new people

Izo (charles/Sealhorn) 16 Share Posted August 19, 2012 those are certainly interesting >_>
Agent Miller 26 Share Posted August 20, 2012 I wouldn't mind a new map, maybe all the races start off unified but as time passes on, races become restless and seperate to various areas of the land (orcs to the desert, elves to the forest and the deep underground, dwarves to the mountains, and humans go to the plains). To prevent war on resources, each race gets various resources that is owned by each of the kingdoms and they have collected over time and splits it evenly. BlueSky 3 Share Posted August 20, 2012 Dwarf pls I've been playing on that server lately, and I have often wondered how awesome it would be if something like this was implemented into Lotc.

Why would we want to prevent a war over resources?
Izo (charles/Sealhorn) 16 Share Posted August 20, 2012 one thing that interests me is just throwing everybody onto the new map with no prebuild, perhaps some ruins at most, and then seeing the power struggles while everybody tries to set up working governments again and settle themselves, particularly like that it'd probably result in diverse(if temporary) cultural identities
Agent Miller 26 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Why would we want to prevent a war over resources? Yea, your probably right, having a war on resources would be interesting.

ek_knight 21 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Having no prebuilt would be best. In addition, considering the wars that have plagued Asulon it would be unlikely for the races to sail together. Instead they should each go to a different location.
TEEbrown 348 Share Posted August 22, 2012 No prebuilt cities end in terrible looking cities and tedious hours spent constructing a city without roleplay. Trust me, you want prebuilt cities.
Izo (charles/Sealhorn) 16 Share Posted August 22, 2012 he has some point, however prebuilt just feels too inorganic and leads to favoring
no longer active 734 Share Posted August 22, 2012 I feel that there should be a compromise on prebuilt. There should be prebuilt dungeons and things like that. And for the cities, maybe creative mode could be given?
