Looking through the bukkit page, it seems like it only works for portcullises (Portculli?) Any chance for some more explanation? Still a very cool plug-in though.

The only thing that will piss a lot of people off is the lifts. If we can use falsebook, or even code our own plugin for just lifts, this would be perfect. And what about if people fix all their gates to be this way, then we go back to falsebook, will their be compensation orrr..?

I tried to make one, what happens is when the gate goes up or down, the lever has to be on the same level as at least one part of your gate. Which is why you need to have your gate just a bit more than halfway filled the frame. Then the lever goes halfway up the frame to control it.
