Patch 2.7 | Skill System 2.0

Then don't sacrifice anything, Make your character build enough skill to do the job. Why do you think that we have the /delevel command? You obviously aren't independent if none of you can do a simple job. Just pick people in your Troope to harness these skills so they become more of an asset to you? Get what I'm saying?

I think that is why he, Like me supports the free reset, so someone in his group might rework themselves to maintain their independence?

We're independent when we can do our job BEFORE this patch. The /delevel command, while nice to have for minor fixes, is extremely inconvenient for the majority of the players in this case. Why should WE, the players, be forced to spend time and effort fixing our stats because of a patch that makes our stats useless. If we were all allowed a stat reset it would allow the players to recover from this patch quicker and be able to get back to work at their normal efficiency. Farmers that made bread can continue to make bread, Miners that made their own tools can continue to make their own tools, if they so choose. Also, stop being a jackass.

While I love this patch. I live in Australia and there is usually a max of 10 players on when I am on. So it will be an imense pain to find people to trade with etc.

Without donating....?

Yeah.. donating does nothing to what your skills can be..

Unless they changed it I believe one ups it to 300 sir, (the one above mine) and I think Aether was 310/315?

Edit: I checked, the one above mine is 285 and then aether is 300

Lots of people are clammering about everyone getting skill resets. While I don't think this is a good idea, because everyone would train their crafting skills and defeat the purpose of this patch. I do however think we need someting to combat the fact that the economy is probably going to crash because there aren't enough people with high levels in cooking and the crafting skills to keep up with the huge demand that will surely follow this patch.

I understand the concern, but I don't think that would be the case, yes alot of people would switch to crafting, (or atleast take one) but Monsters drop things that you sometimes cannot get from crafting (at all or as easily) plus I'm sure there are plenty of roarg me smash kinda barbarians and warriors out there that would let the "lesser" folk worry about the crafting whilst they thunder into battle.

However with a change to the skills this large, I feel alot of people should get the chance to redo their skills, and take up their path, As stated before I was a farmer/hunter who had a few skills on the side for simple survival (minimal luberjacking, mining, excavation) However with the new skills I find myself unable to make my staple product I sold (bread) without first /deleving and grinding it up for a good bit. Technically a skill reset wouldn't change my characters RP at all, I'd still be a merchant focusing on what I did (but I'd be better at it and less off to the side)

Skill reset is a good idea, but unrealistic. How would we do it? Give everyone 275 points? Have everyone modreq? No, it'd be too much.

Okay, so I just level up without delevel on and I will go past like 175?

Yes max pre donation is 275.

They have done skill resets before for people (it's a simple conversion of skills to credits) (well simple in terms but possibly hard in the actual doing of it.) anyways so I'm sure they could do it again.

But the amount of confusion of EVERYONE on the server getting that reset?

Followed swiftly by them fixing their stats and moving on with their lives. It's not difficult.

You know, we DO have chestshops..

Chest shops can't repair stuff.

But yea now I really do think everyone needs skill resets. We currently don't have enough lumberjacks/cooks/smiths etc, this is because everyone has built their skills around the previous system and so now this new patch has completely screwed everything up.

I agree with this quite a bit.
