CraftPrime 35 Share Posted March 24, 2013 High MageShadow Smoke takes a fresh breath after viewing his pinned up notice on the Arcane Delver's board. He walks away from it. On the notice it states: "To all those who seek to become MageShadows, you must do so with great thought in mind. Before coming to me, you must give yourself a name/alias that drops your previous identity as a person for once you become a shadow of the delvers, you must drop all hesitation and pledge yourself to your position and that name..." -High MageShadow Smoke. Supremacy 3361 Share Posted March 26, 2013 All manner of arms and armor was to be forged for the upcoming battle. Rather appropriatly, the sound of metal colliding with metal had become a sound so common within the halls of The Arcane Delvers as of late that Kalenz felt he could hear it even when he was no longer present. Allies and foes traveled to the halls, their footsteps becoming so common too that they seemed to blur into one collective march. Ambros, Blundermore, Ironguts and Revolutionaries had all come and gone. Each group condemning or lending support to the Delver's cause. The thuds of their footsteps on stone melding with that of metal clanging together. ((By Omuk, Devianart)) The high elf hadn't returned to Malinor since the day which he and the Mindlord had escaped the Sentinels. The memory of water filling the torture cell all to crisp in his mind. Those sentinels corrupted and killed upon that day were justified in his mind. Never before had such been his thought about a fellow elf. ((By Perzo, Devianart)) Meticulous planning was underway for their attack and each day The Arcane Delvers scoured the forests around Malinor. The walls and forces of the Princedom were formidable. Yet so too were the numbers and magic of the blue cloaked opposition. Change was coming and with it came war.
Polgrath 215 Author Share Posted March 26, 2013 Polgrath walks down to the smithy, the hot air and floating coal dust making him squint and cough as he enters. The hammers of the smiths beat away at weapons, armors, and other stranger devices, the down-stroke of their swings resounding in a discordant drum beat. Tapping a Magesmith on the shoulder the older man turns from his billows to face Polgrath. "Ayuh Mindlord?" Polgrath tosses a worn, rusty elven scimitar on the rough wood table. "I need this blade honed and refurnished." The swordsmith nods in mild disbelief. "But ye hath magic and persuasive words for ye! What need do ya have for an old blade like this?" Nodding, Polgrath responds, gazing off in memory. "Long ago in old Asulon, I was once a guardian of Normandor, capital to the Elves. I wore armor and wielded this sword, though not with great skill. While that life is long behind me and I am sure my skill with this blade has been much decreased, when dealing with ruffians I did learn one valuable lesson,Words seem to have more sway... when backed up with steel." CraftPrime 35 Share Posted March 26, 2013 As he walks down the stairways of the smithy, Smoke lets out a little cough, given to him by the unexpected air from the working of the Magesmiths. He spots Polgrath and gives a nod to him in greeting, but continues his business. Smoke walks up to a Magesmith and to get his attention, Smoke quickly grasps the smith's left shoulder. He swiftly turned, looking slightly shocked. "Oh! Bleedin' Iblees, High Mageshadow." Smoke didn't say anything, giving the smith a chance to catch his breath. "What purpose do you have for bein' here?" finally said he. Smoke took the rusted, pitch-black sword from his back and gently placed it on the smith table. He turns to look at the smith, with the smith still eyeing the blade. "Kageshini needs a few repairs done on him. He's seen too much action and needs fixing for him to be able to see the war that's about to happen at Malinor." The Magesmith, still eyeing the blade, simply nodded. "'ll do what I can. This is a rare blade that I don't see most use, but I'll definitely try my best."
WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Art circles around his men, and woman, as they stand in a lined formation. Giving each an inspective eye. The stance, the grip of ones sword. He draws his own blade, the familiar weight of his cherised bow strapped to his back. He shuts his eyes, as well as the rest of the world, clearing his mind of plaguing thoughts as those under his command look expectantly. In time, he opens his eyes, and speaks. "In war...In battle, what determines who lives, and who dies, is not who makes the fanciest, most skilled blows, pirouettes, parries..." He pauses for effect. "In war, one thing matters, FOCUS. Focus on your task, focus on your duty. Focus on the man in front of you, who will try to take off your head." The young commander gestures to a long scar running over his forehead. "In the heat of battle, what matters is not your home, your friends, your family, it is only the clashing of steel, yours, and your enemies. Remain focused, and you will live to see your homes again." Art draws in a breath. "That said, know that we DO fight for the lives and loved ones of many, even of those amongst you..." Art considers saying more, but decides against it "We march in a few elven days...get your rest, and continue your training. Disperse." Art walks away as the mageshields break into their own seperate groups. ((On my phone, or id make this post look nicer.))
TheBareSheet 194 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Arahael stumbles out to see Art and the Mageshields. She smiles as it was the perfect occasion to do her job. She unravels a long scroll and steps next to Art. Tapping on his shoulder, she murmurs 'I'll start the attendance now.' Arahael squints at the parchment as she waves her quill in a very hopeless and ridiculous manner. Seeing that she is catching no attention, she glares again with her clear intense blue eyes. Then raising her voice, 'Fellow Guild Mageshields!' This time she received her attention, perhaps because her high pitched voice rang through the lower male ones. 'Fellow Mageshields, we soon are going to march. To ensure your safety during it, we require you to answer to my attendance.' She waves her sheet. 'If you do not answer, we shall mark you as absent, therefore if you participate in the march and get lost, we do not hold responsibility because we simply do not know you are here. So please say your name to represent you are here.' Arahael begins to rambles along the names. 'Starting from.....'
