A Sad Prince's Escape

James sat alone in the Castle Library, staring upon the fire and thinking. So many times had Relgard given him the proposals, so many times Relgard tried to help. James never really took it into consideration, he thought it would never come to anything as such. James thought of the past, and he thought to the future.

James was much different from his brothers. They all loved to wield blades, all loved to fight; and gained the excitement out of it easily. James hates fighting with all his heart, and holds the views of someone else. James had everything, and would soon have his own kingdom. He could not take any of his father's evil any longer.

Just the other day, James was put into the Teutonic Order by his father, Godfrey, to learn how to become a real man. Just an Elven day after, James ran. Deserted. Left. His father did not know however, and James was an honest boy. He approached his father with a smile, and told him the truth. James regrets that very much. His father slapped him, and screamed at him at the top of his lungs. James, of course, yelled back. Godfrey commanded for the Teutons to take James to that prison of theirs, the name he had forgotten. Dragged into his cell, James sat there for days, until Godfrey arrived.

Godfrey had to find a way to convince his son to fight. He yelled, he made arguments, he did all he could, but it did not work. James was quite strong with what he believed. "Does a happy soldier fight well? No. Does forcing an unhappy soldier to fight make it better?" was James' voice, his opinion. Godfrey kept him in there for days, threatening to blow up the tree of Normandor and kill James' love, Domelvia. James was convinced Godfrey was mad, and sat there for more, and more time. Eventually, the doors finally opened, and he was released. He did not walk back with his father, he ran alone. Alone, tired, and depressed.

This is where James is now. Packing his bags, preparing himself mentally and emotionally for what is to come. He knew Relgard was waiting outside Arethor, he knew he was. Quickly, and avoiding all sort of people, James walked out of the castle, bag in hand. He strolled through a crack in the wall, quickly and quietly. When he approached the gates, he spotted Relgard outside, by an Oak tree. James walked to him, nodding.

The days of madness... are over.

Bolin sits by the docks fishing as he spots James in the corner of his eye, recognizing the boy as his crown seems to have disappeared, they make eye contact for a brief moment before a fish takes the bait, his attention quickly averted as he yanks his fishing pole upward.
