The Town of Elvindale

Greetings fellow Elves,

I thought that we should have a place for Elves, who plan on living or currently live, in Elvindale to converse among each other and get to know one another. I am thinking of moving there in the future if I can muster up enough Minas to pay for a house. So, with that said, get to know each other and discuss your plans and ambitions for the town.

Thank you,

Briamoth, Paladin of The Dragon Riders

Hail!

I am the town archer and courier who never seems to be in her house. ;]

If Aeowin reads this, I had brought a man who wanted to build his Order's hall in Elvindale but you were not available. His name is Angelo, Headmaster of the Knights of Sera.

I'm seriously considering moving here. How much does it cost to buy a plot? I think I spoke to someone who said it was 1,600 Minas, but I don't remember who it was. I know one house is listed as 8,000 Minas, but I haven't seen any other houses around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! You have my utmost condolences for the attack on Elvindale by the Undead.

It is a pity that I could not make it. ((I was offline bleh)) But I hope that Elvindale has been able to recover from the battle.

I shall have to come visit one day soon, if I am welcome.

I just returned home and there doesn't seem to be anything astray, except that we might have more trees. So unless the Undead have been using Elf magic, they didn't do any damage! :-)

All you have to do is go to the entrance of Ravenhold and hang a right if you are looking at the town. Just follow the signs till you see a path heading out of town. It's very long, about a 7 minute walk until you finally reach Elvindale. The path does go under the white road so if you want to follow it to Haven or the dwarf capital you can.

I can draw a map for those looking for Elvindale. Will update in a bit.

[EDIT]

(( right-click and open in new tab if you want to see it larger ))

The bold solid line is the traditional and safest route from Laurelin to Elvindale. The smaller, dashed lines offer shorter but more dangerous routes. I usually use the later but I always seem to run into bandits on the White Road. It's easy enough to leap into the trees from the road, well, if you are an elf anyway. :)

(( the black outline in the middle is from a chunk-error on the map, I think, as when I checked the map there was an empty black square there. ))

I see. I have been to this "White Road" before but I never knew exactly what it was, and I must never have seen Elvindale because I've never gone past it.

I shall pay a visit as soon as I can.

I don't like the idea of bandits, so maybe I'll just take the trees the entire time.

I usually take the railway to Ravenhold. Then just walk the rest of the way. It usually doesn't take too long, although the price of mine carts is quite high.

Minecrafts are usually a one time purchase. :D

(( Unless of course the game bugs out and it goes sailing down the track without you ))
