*Praxedis Goldhand stumps up to the notice board in the Kal'Dwain market area and fixes a broadside to its surface with two heavy blows of his hammer*

To my Irongut neighbors and comrades of Kal'Dwain,

I've been past your market often lately, and I'd like to ask about setting up a mining shop in one of your market stalls. If you're taking on new merchants, I'd be happy to pay your 2000 mina asking price. I'd be able to supply you with the finest iron and gold ingots, coal, and lapis blocks, and in time I hope to be able to supply diamonds to you as well. I'd offer you the fairest prices you're likely to find, and would also eventually provide the residents of Kal'Dwain the opportunity to sell me some of their minerals. Please let me know what you think.

- Praxedis Goldhand

[Written without Dwarven dialect, since I've always assumed the dialect was more of a spoken accent than a written dialect.]

Bael, returns to Mount Ire only to find it deserted, with little else to do he begins to pack his things. When he is finished, he writes up a letter addressed to Hiebe Irongut in Kal'Dwain.

Most Honorable Hiebe,

I once again find myself living in a city of ghosts. I have visited the cities of both the Goldhand and Grandaxe clans and find them lacking in what I as a dwarf wish as a residence, so I turn to the clan of the Irongut. I wish to purchase a home in Kal'Dwain. I do not wish to be demanding, but I require quite a large amount of room and if I am to dwell with you and your kin, I will require a minimum of three rooms to my house, although more then this is preferable. I have 3,500 mina, five diamonds of the highest quality, roughly six carts of refined dwarfen iron, much coal, wools of all different colors and a set of golden swords of which I am able to pay with. If I am allowed to purchase a home amongst you and your kin, I would also like to obtain a mining permit.

I await you response eagerly.

~ Bael Tunnelsmasher.

Bael exits Mount Ire with a pigeon and ties the letter to its leg, casting it off in the direction of Kal'Dwain.

With the return to karik, kaldwain will be shut down and I ask for all dwarves to move their things from dwain and buy a new home within the old city. I will be selling homes for all Dwainians half off their normal price. May da paragons watch over ye.
