Charles_Grimlie 1072 Share Posted August 3, 2012 The Family or Clan of the SternBrews is a collection of Dwarves of whom live within the cold mountains of Kal’Karik in a peaceful non aggressive manner unlike their other Dwarven kin who share the lands of Karik along with themselves, they pride themselves in doing manual labor such as chopping tough wood for the use of charcoal, to the collection of hearty crops from the lower valleys which reside near their mountain home. The SternBrew clan is a lower clan of the Ireheart family lineage, as the son of Urguan.. Yavok Ireheart the mad’s youngest daughter Evona Ireheart was secretly married (As marriage at the time was very selective and strict) to the “Clanless”, peaceful and charming Uzar SternBrew in the sacred binding of the iron bands, and thus this peculiar branch of peaceful folk within the burning family tree of the Irehearts was created unknown to most save for the early scholars who recorded this sacred occasion in the ancient scrolls. The lifestyle of the SternBrew clan is quite different compared to those of different clans, often being of a defensive nature rather than aggressive like their neighbouring kin the “Irehearts” and other clans. These folk tend to put more of their time into simplistic things such as labor based tasks, drinking hearty amounts of ale, and telling tall tales around the dining table. In times of old a quote has been passed through the ages which was spoken by the original SternBrew Uzar, he said “If my secret marriage with my love is unjust, then let labor be my punishment and Annebella be my witness.” Thus some of the common labor tasks consist farming, woodcutting and cooking either wood or bread.. The SternBrew folk enjoy the fresh crisp mountain air rather then the deep perilous caverns down below but they will never forsake the safety that the stone can provide. Diety: As part of the culture the SternBrews strongly believe in Ancestry and choose the goddess Annebella to be their patron god. The Sternbrews will often give offerings of food or ale to their kin of past through feasts or by providing minor gifts of minerals or crop to their idols which can be found scattered around their mountain home. The Clothes of the SternBrew clan is often composed of thick woolen coats, and other tough fabrics to allow for comfort whilst roaming the frosty mountain side and cold valleys in which they reside, a popular item amongst the Dwarves of the SternBrew clan is the “Rurast”. The Rurast is a simple thick woolen cloth hat that is sewn and cut into the shape of a triangle, the SternBrew clan often prides themselves by wearing it as it has been the symbol of their clan’s difference in culture for many generations, and has also easily proven to be highly effective in terms of keeping one’s head warm during cold nights on the mountains tops or in the towers which they hold Haven. The Rurast shows great similarity to the “Night Cap” a thinner triangular cloth hat that is often made of lighter fabrics.. The Rurast is also often decorated with objects such as bells, tassels or fancy needle work to show a unique appearance amongst the family members and other Dwarves. http://www.familyecho.com/?p=YBKKD&c=urx1zze1s6&f=932061798954485187 Living: Urist, clan father (Slapacookie) Kiruna, clan mother (Nalyana) Ulrim, son of Urist (Charles_Grimlie) Kugika, wife of Ulrim (Alakabam) Omril, son of Ulrim (Rob888) Olin, son of Ulrim (R0vad) Thrash, son of Urist (Monstaaamuch) Datan, son of Thash (Bov61) Amur, brother of Urist (Omithiel) Lumash, son of Amur (Mrbampow) - (Started new clan?) Nalayna Liadon 1 Share Posted September 3, 2012 After quite a while it's noticed that Kiruna has been missing for quite a while. In fact it was a short while after Urist had disappeared and assumptions have probably been made that she wandered off to find him. Unknown to Kiruna, Urist returned after she left. Also by this time it has probably been assumed that she has become lost, harmed, or is dead by now. (finally making this post... sorry for it's delay. It's due to me constantly postponing it by me thinking more about it.)

TEEbrown 348 Share Posted November 11, 2013 This is an activity check for this clan. If there are any active members, now is the time to speak up. If not, I will ask to have this thread archived in the great library. This is to allow easier accessibility for the new dwarves looking to join an active clan. The link to the archived thread link will be kept in a new "Dead/Inactive Clans" section on the main thread for lore purposes.
