Luchian 214 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Most goblins are small, and not lore sized. Yup, We can easily explain this with saying a mutation happened and then explain why. Or just say that somebody shagged a halfling.......
Tyrion 119 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Why should we force so many goblin's to change the way they RP their character, when we could just adapt. Maybe say these are a new type of goblin that came from intermixing with another race. People have VAs and bios detailing their goblin character that they have been RPing this way. Why were their VAs not denied then if they were lore breaking? I do not really see the problem with adapting the lore instead of just starting a sh*tstorm.
Bawg 494 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Most goblins are small, and not lore sized. We are handling the situation in our Teamspeak! Coming up with Lore! Everyone just needs to clam down!
Sultan 3953 Author Share Posted August 13, 2012 Also you guys see it as a minor factor, but you do not understand ORCISH lore, to know how this effects our lore, and our being as race. So lets say Goblins are actually short, when the Goblins become shorter they become less useful, they can not operate our mechanics anymore. And another factor is there stupidity. If the Goblins become stupid and short, they become not useful in fighting, or in advancement, of our mechanic, so we lose our tech orcs are not able to maintain or produce siege equipment or any of our we-opens and advancement armaments. So what happens now? Orcs when they are useless are killed they are culled from birth, so technically actually, if they are born and they are raised and see like this they would be culled and they would not survive. Also, to those that say they have been always like this NO THEY WERE NOT. There was only two War Uzg Goblins in our Vet years, Yaghy'Gorkil and Baish'Gorkil. Both very smart until Yaghy became old and cynical and both were 5+ Feet tall, and both rped perfect goblins were both of them were Yazgurtans our builders and handled much of Uzgs financial and maintenance jobs.
Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted August 13, 2012 I thought the stupid goblins running up to women, humping their legs and asking them to be their mates was perfectly normal. How big are orcs exactly?
Jarkarll 314 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Most goblins are small, and not lore sized. You are incorrect. I'm not speaking of the new goblins that have just appeared. In Aegis all the goblins there have gone by the lore.

There is alot of Goblins that arent well... Idiots. Them being small does so they can get into smaller places and make more advanced things. The Goblins seem to rp as playful but alot of them are like the Doctors which actually is doing something usefull on the side of being insane. And tinkers that make stuff. Many of them RP playful but that dosent neccesarily mean their stupid.

Danny 2232 Share Posted August 13, 2012 You are incorrect. I'm not speaking of the new goblins that have just appeared. In Aegis all the goblins there have gone by the lore. You're wrong there. In Aegis there was midget Goblins as well. In-fact, I've only ever seen one Goblin lore-sized since I joined.
Braxis 813 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Everyone thinks the Goblins are small and look like this. The Small tiny dagger or shortsword using Gobo. Who is all cute and crazy. If you want these then make some lore for it. Cause right now the ORcish lore WHICH RACE they are from say they should be around 5- 6 1/2ft tall looking like Many wanna Rp small Gobo's because they come from the DnD or War Hammer or WoW lore that have the small goblins. And While the LOTC lore has them being 5- 6 1/2f tall being almost human size as seen in the picture above. And were either the more dextorius and archers or even the Tech Guys of the orc race. Not cute lilte trouble makers. The Pictures are just size Referances. NO ONE HAS FLAME THROWERS
Goliath 384 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Jingeh has been a Gobbo for months... back in 2011 he was being roleplayed. So, why has this suddenly been commented on now? You're saying, characters like Jingeh must adjust the size of their characters considerably, even though they have been roleplaying them as short, nimble creatures for a long time, with nothing said to them regarding their height, and how it's unloreful, despite very little lore has been written about them being human sized? I think this "lore" needs to be revised, or written clearer on the wiki that they are human sized. This has frustrated me.

Clearly you weren't roleplaying with the correct people. The people who practically headlined the goblins all went by the correct size. Yahgy, Baisha, and Gooms. All went by the correct size Jingeh has been a Gobbo for months... back in 2011 he was being roleplayed. So, why has this suddenly been commented on now? Ivran 137 Share Posted August 13, 2012 I honestly feel that Gobos are one of the most interesting things about the Uruk race, what's the big deal if they RP being short? Sure it breaks lore, but it brings a lot more funny and interesting RP. Plus, is it really hurting anyone?

Yes, the ones that do not follow our lore you interacted with them that's why I stated we enforce our lore ingame, Pink-Skin Orcs and Goblins allways break our lore, they are not considered orcs OOCLY or RPly. And we view them badly in RP and OOC because they do not follow our lore.
Cracker 4570 Share Posted August 13, 2012 One can still be cute and small without sacrificing knowledge and technologic ingenuity. I always thought goblins to be a mix of both the sinewy smart 6 ft goblins and the adorable, funny 2 ft ones. I see them as around 4-5 feet, and they prove their worth with their size. Big orcs cannot get into siege equipment to repair them as they are too big to get through the small cracks and their hands too big to work the finer details. This is why goblins are good at surgery or engineering; their small precise hands let them do things more effective than even say a human. However, they still have crazed bloodlust which makes them act reckless and foolish often. This is how I've always seen them, I've always wondered why the wiki-lore and IC goblins had different culture and physiology, but its never bothered me too much.
