DrakeHaze. 2524 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Monks are changing. Why are the monks now threatening to not heal people? I thought that went against your entire order? Also, since when do monks use weapons? I thought that was also kinda against your order? :/ Do the monks have lore regarding how everyone trusts them so much? Not to be rude but when I first came to Aegis I was told monks are good and you should trust them, and now in Asulon I was also told to trust them, but what I do not understand is who really are these monks? Where did they come from and how did they get so trusted? One more minor thing. Is monk healing different from Clerical healing? Or is it the same thing? Would you please mind not logging in while I'm trying to get into the private monk area? I can probably answer this as I've been accepted and exposed to both magics. To my knowledge they are similar, however monk magic is more potent in healing wounds while clerical magic covers more ground, going to such things as mental issues such as headaches and even to illnesses I believe. I am no longer the IC Head Monk however and Aelys may decide to change this.Weapons: Weapons are normally prohibited, however since people seem to think they can void our staves because they do not have a 'skill', some monks choose to use others.Trust: The full monk lore is on the main monk post, pinned on the section."Why are monks so smexy?": Well you see, they aren't. Only I was. And I'm not a monk anymore. Visiting a Monk in Their Quarters: The simple answer to this is yes, either through invitation by the monk themself or NPC roleplay, telling the NPC then /messaging the monk you wish the monk to talk to and roleplaying via tells. Without permission from a regular monk, the NPC will not allow you to pass.Monastic Order: Not that I know of. I believe Native and a couple others created them to be completely original.
