A Poem...

A simple poem written on a small paper flies around and you catch it, reading it.

The day was cold, and the forces bold,

Dread and fear shown but not told,

The ramparts were scaled,

And arrows sailed...

The poem seems to end there, small blood stains cover the bottom-left corner of the paper. A single tear rolls down your cheeks, and you wonder why.

Tavros' eyes shift rapidly, releasing the arrow in his composite yew bow. The arrow head pins the note to the tree branch in which he quickly retrieves. Upon reading the note his spirits feel lifted, sitting up in the tree he continues to watch the roads, reloading the arrow to the bow. Feeling much better about himself after reading such an ominous yet beautiful poem.
