"The City of Sanctum, being a Barony of Carcasonne, under the Duchy of Auvergne, is locally managed by a man appointed to the place of "Baron". The Baron sells homes, and collects any taxes in place. He also will manage the town's workers.

The seat of Baron is currently empty, and the town is being managed by the Count directly. Any volunteers for the seat should speak to Count Relgard Gracchi."

*Beladin approaches Sanctum, seeking shelter from the monsters and darkness. He notices the notes and attaches a letter below one of them, praying it will be seen. It is written with brown ink and a fine black feather from a chicken*

It would appear that Duchy is under the Empire. Sanctum, I believe is no longer in Levanthus. Correct me if I am wrong, though. I remember that it was once an independent city state.

*worried, Beladin doesn't sign the letter and rushes away from from Sanctum, feeling an eerie presence around. Looking back, Beladin considers returning and signing the letter, but a skeleton jumps out from behind a tree, an arrow whizzing by his ear. Quickly, he runs back to Varivik to the safety of his home.

"Sanctum is under the same leader as it was before, but after a marriage between the original leader and the Countess of Carcasonne, it became part of the duchy."
