Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:To me, roleplaying is building a fictional character from the ground up, developing that character into what you wish him/her to be, whether you're a lowly beggar or a wealthy king, you must play that character as such. If you're a greedy character, you must play a greedy character. Its like existing in another world

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:Meta-gaming is to perform an action that goes against roleplaying, such as discovering something out-of-character that your character would have no way of knowing and using that knowledge in-character. Or using someone's name-plate to find out who or where they are.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:Power-emoting is to perform an action that over-powers your character, whether in combat or not. for example, if I killed someone's character by stabbing them in the back without giving that person any chance to fight back, that would be power-emoting.

In-Character Details

Character Name:Naffog

Character Race:Orc

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:Early Childhood

Naffog was born near Strigzgoi, his father came up with the name "Naffog" when he was drunk, 3 months before Naffog's birth. Naffog was always proud of his Orcish heritage, and revered Krug very highly, even as a child Naffog was extremely proud to be an Orc, to be one of Krug's children. Though the bloodlust his kind was cursed with so many years ago was still strong in him, he didn't mind the company of other races as much as his kin.

Teenage Years

By the time Naffog was 17, he began showing a nearly fanatical devotion to Krug, and even began to revere the other three brothers as well, Horen, Malin, and Urguan in secret. The four brothers fought Iblees, they were worthy of remembrance in his eyes. two days after he turned 18, he found a large, leather-bound tome, written about the cultures of other races half-buried in the sand, he was unable to read, so the tome was somewhat useless to him, but he decided to keep it for the leather, 0r perhaps if he was taught to read in the future. His father had taught him to use axes and his bare hands to a basic level of skill, though Naffog's father was drunk during most of the training, he was still able to use axes to a somewhat deadly effect.

Early Adulthood

Naffog had grown into a rather large Orc, but also a very ugly one. he stood about 9'2, and had blood red eyes, large tusks and black hair. He had green skin and commonly wore armor, he looked much like his father. At the age of 22 he decided to venture out and see the Cloud Sanctuary, he soon became lost and tired in the wilds, he decided to set up a small shelter using the resources around him, he built a small, unstable shelter. It took about 3 hours, but he eventually fell into a very deep sleep. In his sleep, someone came to him, and dragged him off, further into the wilds as he slept...

He awoke in a small, overgrown hut with several plants growing through the walls, it seemed he was put on a bed. Naffog was slightly started, and got up very quickly, as he walked out of the hut he noticed someone out of the corner of his eye. An Elf, sitting on a mossy log outside the hut, the Elf hadn't noticed Naffog yet, and appeared to be smoking a pipe, the Elf had an engraved bow on his back and wore leather quiver, and dark green robes. Noticing the Elf was armed, Naffog readied his fists and walked to the Elf. "Ug?" said Naffog in a nervous tone. "Ug, Naffog, how are you feeling?" said the Elf calmly while smoking his pipe. "How does latz know mi name, Twiggie?" said Naffog in a slightly annoyed way. "It's carved into your armor, Naffog" said the Elf. Naffog lowered his fists slowly. "What iz latz name, Twiggie?" said Naffog calmly. The Elf smiled slightly, but didn't answer. Naffog grunted and sat down on a rock near the Elf, seeing that it was a male Wood Elf with a small scar on his lip, revealing only his eyes. "So why haz latz brought mi 'ere?" said Naffog in a curious tone. "Two reasons, really, one because you were in a dangerous area, thought I'd help out" said the Elf in a calm tone. "Yub, 'tanks fer dat, Twiggie, but what be da other reason?" said Naffog, slightly annoyed. "I need help with something regarding a group of cutthroats" said the Elf. "Yub?" said Naffog. "It will take some time to prepare, a year at the most" said the Elf, trying to interest Naffog. "Quit da blah'n, get ta da point, Twiggie!" Said Naffog, becoming impatient. "Yes, yes..." said the Elf. "For a reward, perhaps I could teach you to use a sword?" said the Elf, attempting to bribe Naffog. Naffog was hesitant, but agreed to help the Elf. They finished preparing after about 5 months, in that time Naffog learned basic sword skills, as promised, and learned very simple reading and writing. Naffog and the Elf became great friends during those five months.

When the time finally came to face the group of cutthroats, Naffog believed he was ready, and it would be a simple job. When they arrived at their destination the area was misty and looked empty, until an arrow flew past Naffog's ear, taking a small piece of it off. The Elf readied his bow, and saw a figure in the mist, he fired an arrow and an Elf fell forward, with an arrow through his chest, then two Dwarves and a Human appeared, weapons raised. The fight went on for about 5 minutes, when the Dwarves and Human were killed, Naffog looked over to his Elven friend, the Elf smiled slightly, and in less than a second, he was killed. A second Human threw his axe, hitting the Elf in the chest and killing him. Naffog flew into a blind rage, running over to the Human and nearly tearing him in half, he then realized he was out-numbered and ran. He had thought about taking revenge, but then realized it was pointless.

Naffog later decided to go and live in the War Uzg, in hopes that he wouldn't be considered Whitewash for living with an Elf for 5 months by his fellow Orcs.

What are your characters ambitions?:Naffog desires to help keep Asulon from being destroyed by any threat that may become as powerful as the Undead, perhaps Asulon will become as great as Aegis once was.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/8128/20120825170042.png (copy & paste if link is not available)

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character?Naffog is a rather boastful Orc, and has a weak spot for friends. Naffog is intelligent for an Orc, nowhere near the the level of the Shamans or Goblins, but at least more so than the average Orc

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?*Naffog walks up to the shop, peering down at the Dwarf*

What latz got fer sale? *Trying to seem as friendly as possible, hoping to get a discount*

*The Dwarf shows Naffog his wares, then suddenly turns around and pulls an engraved Elven bow off a rack in the back of the stall*

This 'ere is a real treasure, Orc, a real Elve-

*Naffog looks startled, this was the bow of his deceased Elven friend*

Where did latz find dat bow...?

I-I found it, in the wilds, yes t-thats it!

*Naffog grabs the Dwarf's beard and pulls him forward aggressively*

Nub lie, where did latz find da bow!?

*The Dwarf remains silent, terrified*

*Naffog lets go of the beard and pushes the dwarf backward, Naffog then throws a small leather pouch of minas at the Dwarf, takes the bow and storms off angrily*

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?*Naffog sits silently on a bench and listens in on the conversation, frustrated by all the noise, he gets up and walks over to the Orc and Dwarf with an angry look on his face*

Latz got problemz wit stowtz!? Latz lookin' fer a klomp!?

*Naffog tries to punch the Orc, but fails as the Orc moves out of the way of the punch*

*Naffog tries again and makes contact, hitting the Orc's arm, the punch staggers the Orc, sending him back about two feet*

*The Orc tackles Naffog, knocking him to the ground, and causing a slight leg injury*

*Naffog gets up as quickly as he can, and delivers a swift punch to the Orc's face, trying to knock him out*

*The Orc is hit in the forehead, and falls to the ground, unconscious*

*Naffog looks around for the Dwarf but he seems to have slipped away during the fight, Naffog then binds the Orc's feet, and drags him to the sleeping monk, so that he may be healed when the monk is awoken*

*Naffog looks down at the Orc, grunts, and limps away*

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:*Naffog rushes over to the old man, he then kneels down*

Latz alright, old one?

*Naffog looks for a piece of wood suitable for a staff, he sees a somewhat large stick, runs over to it and takes it back to the old man*

Use dis, old one. *Naffog helps the old man up and breaks the stick, making it a better size, he then gives the old man the stick*

Thank you lad... do an old man one more favor and fetch me coins, will ye?

*Naffog nods and picks up the coins, putting them in the bag, he then gives the old man his coins*

Mi can walk wit latz to da landz of da Twiggies if latz would like dat.

Of course, lad.

Accepted!

A nice application, shows thorough lore understanding. I would suggest touching up on your grammar slightly, as well as improving your orcish language slightly! None the less, an amazing job!

Please wait to be implemented.
