The Nights Are Getting Colder

Deputy Bili stuffs his numb fingers into his armpits, his breath coming out in white clouds from his nose and mouth. The young Hobbit's nose and cheeks are red, as if he is blushing, but his distinct frown makes it clear that he is not cheerful. Bili bundles his clothing tightly to his body, as he steps along the borders of Branborough. He is, of course, going on his nightly patrols as a Deputy. He looks to the night sky, its oddly crisp clouds travelling across the sky at quick speeds. Every few seconds, they cover the moon, and then reveal it moments later. Shaking his head, Bili begins to speak quietly to himself.

"I ain' likin' all o' this cold weather... I's no' natural! No' natural in the leas' bi'!"

The Deputy makes his way back to his burrow, where he notices the fire has been dimmed to just a small, candle-like flame. He curses the Pumpkin King for his bad luck, and snatches a pair of gloves from his bedroom drawers, and clumsily slips them on. As he walks out of the burrow, he instantly turns around and grabs a few pieces of paper, along with his most prized quill and ink. Walking back out of the burrow, he makes his way to the notice-board. After writing there, he nods in content, proud of his efforts to help the townsfolk of Branborough.

Written in maroon ink on the noticeboard lies a message.

Citizens of Branborough! Stock up on your warm clothing and socks, for I'm believing that we'll have a few cold nights ahead of us all. Get some extra firewood, in case this cold gets the best of us. - Deputy Bili Hollowmead

((Your character should start to RP chilly nights and mornings. Remember that the Vale is usually very warm and comfortable. They should not like this coldness!))

Aris writes a note below Bili's own

I have stored plenty of wool in te Vale store-burrow. If anyone could knit me a nice woolly coat it would be much appreciated

Aris heads back to his home as the sun sets. He re-kindles his fire and warms up a nice piece of goose. In the morning he sets to winter-proofing his house
