((Skahirun))

So I was captured by the accomplices of a certain Orc under the name Zigtar one day and after a while we were chained to the wall. I decided to try and break our shackles with a sword as no one felt it necessary to check us for weaponry. I took an iron sword out and began slashing at them in which I was told picky that they were apparently Skahirun. A supposedly new alloy orcan blacksmiths were able to make (If trained by who I assume to be Zogtar, though I could be wrong) that were stronger than iron and he told me it would take atleast seven hits to break. I meh'd and went along with it.

Then later on a couple of days ago, I see him walking into the city of normandor in a diamond suit of armor (by appearance of MC default armor) and I stopped him (or tried). He attacked me, I took a retreat, and came back with armor of my own. I believe I attacked him for him to jump back out of the way. Let's consider I was coming at him from behind and he never turned to me until I attacked. I asked how and he told me yet again that it was SkahirunI hit him a couple of times (atleast to my memory) and he took them as if it was diamond armor. Later on, he got onto the ground. I put my sword (which I should say is diamond) to his neck in which he rolled out of the way and quickly got up, as if the armor never weighed him down in the slightest.

I asked if I could be told the actual properties of Skahirun in which he told me to talk to Grool who was banned at the time. So he looked for a link to the google doc and couldn't find it. I asked who approved it and he told me Hawk, I am currently assuming this to be true. Here I am still curious about the armor. Can someone be kind enough to link me to a lore page, google doc, or even write out any known information about it for me? I find it rather confusing that I can't find anything on it no matter how hard I try. Please and thank you~

(I am not sure if this is the correct area to post something like this, so please forgive me if I am in the wrong section.)

Skahirun is basically weak steal. The literal translation is "Shitiron" as that us how it is made. The carbon in the fecal matter purifies the iron the same way you purify iron into steel, but Skahirun us weaker.

Didn't we explain this to you when we captured you and did the RP like, a month and a half ago?

1. No, you didn't. Instead I was told I would need seven strikes at it with an iron sword.

2. If it is so bad, why was my diamond sword doing little to nothing to it and why was he wearing diamond armor to represent it?

I was only there during the capture. I know what it is and RPly it is generally considered, at least wherever I have roleplayed, that steel is often the better word for diamond as its just more realistic. Oren, some dwarves I know, various humans, some Elves I role played with prefer to call it steel where other stick to diamond.

Depending on my character or just my mood and over time it changes. Kind of like it evolves as my RP does.

But I thought we gave you a rough run through of it. Hmm.. I dunno, I remember it was late for me and I was barely paying attention to the OOC

There were two of us, so it could've been the other guy. I really don't recall being informed about it though. Even then, is there a possible way he could have such agility as I described before in such armor?

It is get possible. Orcs are large, so RPly it is expected to a full suit they would need masses of iron, say it takes four iron hard for Human/Humanlike feet? Try 6-8 maybe for Orcs.

As my Lagapo tribal I never role played using heavy metals. The heftiest and most cumbersome was a single diamond chest plate mostly for mob protection. It's usually chain and leather with maybe some iron depending on the situation as Lagapo are scouts

But keep in mine the Orcs would be wearing patchwork armor as its just too hard to cover fully in iron, and would burn out their supplies

There would likely be pieces of chain and leather

Something similar to this, but no metal jaw.

Most of the limbs are free and you have to remember, Orcs are sent out as cubs (young children) into the sands to prove they are Orc material and Orcs excel in all things combat

Maybe he went a bit overboard, but Orcs are often powergamed and said to be massive unstoppable hulks

Well they kinda are. They are in turn, bloodthirsty, rash, quick to anger, xenophobic in general, and are a very small number due to fun hazing. Not to mention most aren't too bright.

Eh, I'll take your word for it. Even if they are bigger and stronger, so would their armor be (atleast bigger) which in turn would also mean it weighs more, no? Elene was also firing arrows at him before she tried looking for a weak point before we were linked by Zogtar to what I assume is a picture of his orc in said armor and he said "find a weak point in that". The picture seemed to cover nearly all his body, excluding his face. It also had decorative elements on it like bones, skulls, etc. The entire suit, excluding bone and covered areas, seemed to be made of the same material. I am having a hard time getting all this down. Let me also add that the suit looked nearly if not entirely connected as well.

Yeah, some Orca have full suits which I think is kinda odd, but you should get Hawk to sit up the Skahirun post which was accepted by him. Work it out with Zogtar too. He's a good guy.

Never said he wasn't, despite our past quarrels. I suppose I will request it of Hawk though I am unsure if Zogtar will be able to help much as he couldn't tell me the properties of the armor then.

[[if you have a problem, send a message to Cracker, the Rex, Mogroka, Or Seventh no need to clog our RP forum with OOC threads.]]

The reason this thread is here is simply because this is armor supposedly only orcs are able to make (from what I have heard), there is no lore I can find on it anywhere, I know Mogroka to be extremely busy, I was unaware that Cracker was an orc as I've only known his Flay character, and I also didn't know that Seventh had anything to do with orcan lore (as I do not really know him). If you want the thread to go away, I can request someone lock it. Then it will just disappear under the mass of RP and I'll be able to go back and look on it if needed.

How can you break shackles with only 1 sword hit? tell me please

EDIT: and you were using an iron sword since I took away your gold one AND THE DIAMOND ONE....

And let's not forget that you avoided RP by saying "Not comfortable with this" And you took damage 20.....

It's not really exclusive to orcs, Iron is Weaker than Steel, and therefore, It only makes sense to RP diamond as "Steel" for I don't know how to RP a set of armor that is Diamond. It is simply "Diamond" but with a different name and RP'd differently. It should not block every hit you do, With a sword you can penetrate the armor, there must be weak spots or well, I don't understand how you wear the armor. Even with full plate armor, there is chain mail exposed.

@JENSPELAO

Shackles can be broken with the swing of a sword, they're usually broken with one hit of a sword.

From the Picture, it seems like he was unconformable with the gruesomeness of the kill.
