*Praxedis sits calmly and silently for most of the meeting, mug of ale in hand, listening intently to the arguments of his kin. As a lull arises and the bickering voices die down for a moment, he speaks up.*

Gulroid, ah first want tae say that ah agree with the decision to move our clan tae Karik. It's alreadeh ushered in a new age of prosperity and common purpose fer our kin. Ah onleh 'ave one concern: what of the moines below Alras?

Ah've spent a lot of toime below ground there over the years, and ah kin tell ye that the riches down dere have onleh begun to be tapped. With the new ownership of Kal'Alras, will we still have access to de moines underneath? It'd be a damn shame to let all the ores and minerals down dere go ta waste. This is an even bigger issue roight now, since we still have nae functional moine in Karik. Kin we sort out some sort of arrangement with the new owners to allow Goldhands continued access to de moines?

As Silvos comes to attend to the meeting, he finds himself stopped by several guards. "Lads, let me in. I have as much right to be in there, as you have to live." Rudely being interrupted, Silvos straightens his coat and walks out of the hold. "I'll be back, you hear me? I will be back!" And it won't be pleasant.

Moruk enters the room, taking a seat and waiting for his turn to speak. When nobody else is speaking he stands up and begins to deliver his input.

" Gol'ands, ah believe Gulroid 'as the right idea by selling Alras. But, as told be some ov th' high ranking dwarves Alras itself belongs to th' Fros'beards. Now dunnae take this as a act ov 'atred, we dunnae 'ate anyone when we say dis. But fer th' sake ov war, an' keepin' up our borders, Alras is needed tu fer th' dwarves. Jus' in case th' war resumes with th' Uruks. 'ere is what Gorum an' I propose. Ye can sell da citeh, which we agree wit' completely. But th' dwarven district remains as part ov dwarven land, an' th' rest ov Alrasian lands remains as Alrasian lands. Dey can use th' farms, but th' farms ultimately still needs tu be under our control since it's still a point where war 'appens, and will be a very useful fort area incase a war occurs. Dis is what we 'ope can 'appen. "

*Thoak makes his way into the chambers late, and finds himself a seat in the meeting chambers, he listens to those who spoke, and waits like Moruk, and gives his opinions on the matter.*

"For those who dunnae knoo me, I be Thoak Gold'and. I knoo atleast a few 'o ye dunnae knoo me, or 'ave met ye, hooever please take me thooghts, an' opinions in tae consideration.

I de agree with Gulroid fer tradin' Kal'Alras off, hooever we did put a lot 'o work in tae oot, and resources, 'as 'ell as defendin' oot off from tae carpets. We also 'ave lost Gold'ands, an' fellow Kal'Alrasian citizens, and military in defendin' oot, an' raisin' oot from tae groond up, hooever with tae great feats, an' great achievement comes tae flaws.

Nae tae speak ill against me kin, an' brothers, an' sisters but I dunnae think that tae clan Gold'and 'as wot oot takes tae lead, and run an' actual functionin' city. We did rebuild tae city, an' bring beck fellow Alrasians, hooever that soon died oot within tae first few years 'o openin' tae city beck up. I also saw tae that pooer somewhat increased, an' decreased amongst others 'o tae high rankin'. People sometimes argued who be tae real monarch, an' who be encharged, an' tae me oot seems that there be nae real monarch an' one tae lead people, only a group 'o people that 'ave tae same pooer. I also dunnae see a system 'o tradin', an' deliverin' 'appenin'. From wot I saw, tae farmers 'o Kal'Alras work fer nothin' rather than themselves. Nae one delivers tae wheat, an' bread from tae farms to tae Urguan Empire, an' oot piles up in stock chests at tae farms an' sits. Tae me tis be an unstable government 'o things.

Knoo then.. when I speak ill 'o things, I like tae bring tae good 'o tae bad. Kal'Alras was a foothold, an' tae front lines 'o tae Orcish Wars. If we lose tae Kal'Alras, an' tae Orcs desides tae start up somethin' again, than we lost tae front lines 'o Kal'Alras, unless those who be takin' Kal'Alras decide tae de somethin' 'boot tae Orcish threat. I also like tae mention tae land 'o Kal'Alras. I knoo a lot 'o ye lads been speakin' 'boot tae land, an' hoo good oot be fer farmin, an' aye, oot be. Kal'Alras lands ur big enoogh tae supply an entire empire, an' possibly more. Trade can also be a big thing. With tae lands, we can trade goods with other nations, an' make double probably almost as much 'o tae minas than wot is bein' offered tae Gulroid fer Kal'Alras, hooever tis goes beck to tae unstable government, an' 'avin' jobs, an' fellow Alrasians dein' tis tae transport, an' produce tae goods.

*Thoak eyes everyone in the meeting hall, and nods. He sits back down in his chair.*

(I know this meeting was put on hold because of miscommunication, so I wasn't sure if we should post or not.)

*William hearing Moruk's comment, is confused slightly and asks a question as he finishes a sip of Ale.*

"Ye say Kal'Alras beh owned by deh Frostbeards? Are ye denyin' t'at t'e Frostbeards joined the Goldhand Clan? An' also, t'e Goldhands 'ave rebuilt t'e city and run it. Weh 'ave t'e right ter do w'at weh please wit' it.

Pertainin' ter t'e orcs. Kal'Alras is not bein' abandoned. Aeroch Nor is using it as a capital. Ah dunnae t'ink t'ey will allow it ter beh takin'."

" Ah refer to us as frostbeards not because we're a seperate clan but because that is what we are recognized as. Like I said, do what ye want with the city, just not the lands around it. Including the farms. Not to mention by doing this you'd be giving the Hightowers a dwarven city. Hightowers being a nobel house of Oren.

Also, last I checked selling means permenently giving away. It ain't like the Hightower is renting it. Also, even if we were Goldhands at the time, we still are considered owners since we were the ones who captured Alras for the Paragon. Who we then asked to make Rasun the overseer. "

During lull in the conversation Gulroid hears a knock at the door. Hearing the High Prophets voice through the thick door Gulroid motions for one of the Goldhands to let him in. Once the High Prophet has settled into a chair, the conversation resumes.

Gulroid is quiet for a long time. He listens as his clansmates talk back and forth bring up different arguments and counter points. When Tirin asks a question, Gulroid simply states. "Storage should no' be an issue. Der be storage in Karik, an' if ye need moar we 'ave oder secure storage we can use. I'll talk te you abou' it later."

Gulroid is relieved when Rasun, one of the elder and respected Goldhands supports the trade. And his mood begins to lighten as many of the other Goldhands begin to come around. Gulroid turns to Praxedis after taking a mouthful of ale and mentions the mines. "De mines will be turned over to the Queen bu' I 'ave no doubt that they will remain open. 'Ow she chooses to run dem is still up fer debate, but I can talk to her and see that the Goldhands get special treatment and make sure permits are easily available."

As Moruk begins to talk Gulroid is once again reminded that the hardest Dwarves to convince were going to be the ones with Frostbeard blood. Listening to Moruk, he begins to formulate his argument. When Thoak adds his own thoughts Gulroid realizes that he is going to have to convince both of them. As conversation once again dies down and eyes turn back on him, Gulroid once again takes his feet.

"Moruk, I understan' wha' yer be sayin. De Fros'beards did de Gold'ands an' indeed de whole Dwarven nation gud by playin' a role in de capture of Alras. De land itself does no' belong to de Fros'beards 'oweva. It was absorbed inte de Dwarven Empire an' den part of it was given to de Goldhands as a noble clan. Parts of the land around Kal'Alras are actually lands controlled by the Dwarven Nation and it is my understanding dat dis land is also being sold to de Queen. In fact de land to de north west of de farms, de area dat 'as de largest border wif de orcs, and der most likely attack route is being sold. Now Moruk explain te me why we would wan' te keep farmlan' so close to de Orcs. Tis not overly defensible, an' lends itself te attack. By putting a buffer between de Orcs an' de res' of de Dwarven lan' we force them to take one of two roots to attack us. De first route is to come through Alras which which under de Queen's rule will put up a fight. De only oder avenue of attack is te march on Kal'Anart. Now I don know how recently ye've been der, but dat fortress will neva' fall. I canno' say de same fer our defenses 'ere in Alras."

"As fer de Dwarven District I 'ave been assured dat it will remain as a shrine to Alras' Dwarven heritage and it is likely dat de deep roads will still remain open. Do ye not see how beneficial dis is? Do ye not see dat there is a large trading partner te be made 'ere? We push off all of our worries onte oders, we trade with them and fill our pockets wif gold, an' we are able te live closer to our kin in Karik. Der really is no' argumen' 'ere."

As Thoak beings to speak, Gulroid can't help but shake his head. "'ave ye seen de farms lad? De top of de soil is still charred from de remnants of de explosives de Uruks used. I've been told by de farmers dat while de land is fertile de plants need to top of de soil te grow well, and while it 'as been years since de battle of de farms, de ground as no' recovered properly and it will take more years fer it te grow fertile again. An' den wut? We'll end up goin' te war again an' go through de same process again. I'm tired of seein' de Gold'ands on de front lines of battle. Tungdil meant for us te be merchants, no' soldiers."

As Moruk's voice rises again, Gulroid's temper begins to flare up. "I've got a simple question lad. Do ye or any of dose of Frostbeard lineage even own a 'ome in de citeh? I've barely seen ye at all wif in dese walls in de past few years. De Gold'and mansion seems pretty cozy an closer te de oder Dwarves. Dats where I've been told many of de Gold'ands reside. But come toime fer us te make a change, ye come running back 'ere tellin' me wha' te do? Frankleh de deal is already struck. I'm only 'oldin' dis meetin' te explain wha' be 'appenin' an' why it be 'appenin'. De trade is bein' made, an' I 'ave de power an' ownership te do it as a Dwarven noble an' yer clan leader. Dis is wha' is best fer us as a clan, even if ye don' believe it."

Having finished talking for now, Gulroid fixes Moruk a cold, hard stare.

Gorum sighs, rising from his seat.

" Gulroid, we've been livin' in new Jornheim which is located in Alras. Th' very same place we've been livin' in since the arrival to Asulon. Like Moruk already stated, we 'ave just as much say in what happens to Alras as ye. Now let me clarify .

We do not want Alras as a whole sold, they may have the farms, and they can take the city, but the land will remain Dwarven. Now it's beyond me as to why ye want to give up Dwarven land to a nobel house of Oren, but we cannae let them have all ov it Gulroid. Also, we've only left for two years to assist th' 'anseti war, in which we played an important role in. This be strictleh business Gulroid, ye shouldnae get angry like dat when ye don' know 'alf the story. "

Gorum nods as he sits down again, expecting the worst.

As Silvos returns to the doors of the meeting hall, he greets the guards. After hearing they still disagree with letting him in, he calls "Llir, Athri!" followed by "Berr!"

Smirking, he asks again, as several elves stand behind Silvos with bows, aiming at the guards. "Now, I believe there is no need for a problem, is there? I mean, we don't want anyone to get hurt at an event like this, do we?"

Slamming open the doors, and walking in with his staff, he shouts:

"Alright Goldhands, time to get this over with. Now, where were we?"

(still open for reject of joining the meeting, proposed by any of it's current attendees.))

As Gorum replies, Gulroid's face turns red with anger. "I shouldn' ge' angry? Did ye jus say I shouldn' ge' angry?! I foind ye on de walls one day screamin' an' complainin' an' de firs' ting ye do is throw insults at me and attempt te embarrass fer all te see. An' ye say ye don' wan' me te ge' angry?" Gulroid's fist closes around his mug of ale. He picks it up and flings it against the wall. There is a loud crash as it hits the wall and then the floor. The remnants of his drink spills out on the floor. "Ye've go' no respect fer me or me decisions!"

Gulroid is interrupted as someone barges into the room. Gulroid turns his attention to the new comer. "Wha' de feck do ye wan' an' why 'ave ye come bargin' inte me council chamber?!" He sees the Goldhand gaurds who were supposed to be gaurding the door still being threatened by the elves. "Ye come inte my private meeting wif me clan, threatin' yer way in an' expect te jus' join de conversation? Get de feck out of me sigh' afore I call fer yer 'ead!"
