The note reads:* To Emperor Godfrey Horen, I, Edward Tarus, am resigning as Duke of the Eyreside. I have been led down a differet path that I believe I should follow. I hope to see you once again someday, but I must say my farewell for now. I thank you for your generosity for giving me the position, but this is how I feel.
