Walehir makes his way towards the fire. Noticing a few familiar faces among the circle, he allows himself to sit. His golden staff settled softly against his lap. Giving a small nod from underneath his shroud, he gazes towards those around him. Taking notice of the other man, as well as the shuddering Kalenz, he frowns within the shadows of his hood. He asks in a careful tone,

"Am I interrupting anything, or is this a sort of... Public dealing?"

Ante'vuln watches the conversation take its turns, her gaze flitting between the participating speakers in succession. The fire crackles and snaps, a bit of ash crumbling and causing a log to shift as the weight is redistributed. After a moment of consideration, she speaks to Kalenz, her hands burrowing into her cloak pockets for warmth as she does.

"A child who causes himself a predicament is not always equipped to deal with the repercussions, llir."

She taps her chin in a pensive gesture, her profile cast in stark shadow by the glimmering firelight. She then turns to the dark haired stranger, tilting her head downward to address him thusly:

"War...or slavery is inevitable, no? Vagabonds and murderers, I find, lack a sense of reason or attention span," she hums a bit, "But my suggestion, Kalenz, is that perhaps we should offer aide at the cost of influence. It is my opinion that coercive affluence outweighs becoming inferiors, hiding away from a larger regime."

"Veritas! Acta non verba, such actions would better protect this nation than mere words and debating."

*Kalenz nods slowly at Ante'vuln's comment*

"Although in some respects that is a valid opinion, is it truly wise to not let Malinor learn from its grievous error? Lest that they are to repeat it?

The child which burns its finger will not place it so quickly into the fire once more llir."

"Yet unlike the Undead the Humani have not the power of the daemon, they are not able to resurrect themselves and bring forth armies of death, they can be killed, and they can be defeated. Why should the nation let the Humani take control little by little until there is nothing left at all when they can resist and fight?"

Rolls his eyes at the man sighing rubbing his head for a moment

"They are all brought by healers either Monk or Cleric, so either way they will continue to come as we will continue to defend no? And last I checked they do not really want control more then just wrongs to be amended and if ye would listen to what I already said I stated some of the many ways to cut them off from doing so lettin' them think they do. And why adapt to ways our people before us forsaked and lived and had us to continue thier ways? So you suggest we throw them down and become warmongers?"

*Kalenz turns, finally fed up with the half-elf. He snaps:*

"What are you tali'mali? Elf or mongrel?"

Blinks blankly at the elf man snapping at him shrugging

"You may call me what you wish I am for who I am and that is all what I really care for. I am part Elven and human I rather not see any of side of my blood be slain. But if they want to forsake the ways that Malin and the ones before us set let them throw the life style and what mad us different from Humans let them and we will just be known as pointy eared humans by the rest of Asulon I guess."

He coughs a bit showing signs he is tired and remains silent for a few moments showing signs he is scanning the crowd for faces, voices and to see on other opinions [[will reply in the monring]]

*Sighs realizing the half-elf's truth.*

"Fair, fair words. . . and true the elves should not become such war mongers like the Humani nor the Uruk, however my question remains what if they wish for more power? What if they wish to see the Elven Nation as another colony and dukedom for their Empire. . . what then?"

*Looks from the depths of his hood curiously at him.*

"Does you experience come from living amongst the Humani? Do you believe they can be easily fooled?"

*Kalenz nods, still slightly irked but far more satisfied with the half-elf's now superior tone.*

"As for being fooled... Very few are above such."

*Kalenz looks down to his gloved hand and twitches slightly. Moments later a faint spark of light flashes upon his fingertip for a mere moment before dying back down to nothing.*

*Looks at Kalenz and stares his steely gray eyes piercing him from within the hood.*

"MY question for YOU is why the racism? Does it matter if one is Mali or Valah or mixed? Did not the same God create us all? Did we not all suffer at the hands of Iblees and his ilk? To be racist is to be no different from the Humani and their racist superiority, despite the great advances made by the other nations of the world."

Ante'vuln nods, her bemused expression fixed. A faint breeze ripples in the fabric of her cloak, causing it to ruffle a bit. She draws it close to her neck before continuing, hands tucking the fabric near.

"How I wish we could simply sit back and watch Malinor burn its fingers as it twiddles with dangerous notions of war. How I wish it were a matter of impudence, dealt with by allowing life to issue experimental tutelage." She sighs a bit, watching the leaping silhouette of flame in the dirt.

"Such luxuries may well be past, however. If Malinor falls, Haelun'or is unprotected. We have a small window of opportunity, where we can use our alliance for leverage. If we do not help them, they may not repeat their error--but that may be because they have been crushed flat by war-mongering fools who could easily extend a greedy fist to our beloved Silver City."

Walehir turns towards the fellow shrouded figure, as he listens on, realizing the tone of this conversation. He props his elbows on his knees, resting his chin in his palm. The flickers of the fire, only show small glimpses of his chin and mouth. Every time the light catches, his lips are tightened in a frown.

*Kalenz rolls his eyes at the dark elf's comments about God. He muses sarcastically*

"Indeed! Your sky-god created all things equal. That is why valah die swiftly, uruk are mentally inept and bortu are short and greedy. Brilliant observation!"

*Kalenz then looks to Ante'vuln before looking down absent mindedly. He mutters*

"Perhaps..."

*Kalenz rolls his eyes at the dark elf's comments about God. He muses sarcastically*

((Funny I never thought of myself as a dark elf being who I am. . . how would you know I am curious?))

"You forget even the elves were cursed, your people have few children, your forests are clear unless you seek to breed. . . the valah speak of this much in their cups and insults towards yourselves. And I never said the Creator created all equal, merely that we all have similar origins and should not look down and believe ourselves superior based on blood."

*Pauses*

"And don't you call the creator my god, that is something you have no right to speak of nor do you know my beliefs. . ."

Renault Scholar and Explorer Dark Elf Status: Alive
((I guessed based on the forum thread? I have no clue what to refer to the character as.))

*Kalenz eyes the shrouded figure before muttering under his breath*

"Perhaps he would be better off in the valah'nor."

Walehir takes a breath in to speak, lifting himself from his rather lazy position. Sitting up straight now.

"Before we make this little meeting an unpleasant... Perhaps we should remind ourselves, why we were gathered, yes? That seems a start. Also, I would wish to know how such a crowd came to be here."

*Surprising a smile crosses his lips as he hears the muttered comment*

"I fear they would not want me as I was exiled from that foul place many years ago, despite my help in its conception. . ."
