Sister Sequoia 438 Author Share Posted December 11, 2012 Alright, I've looked through them all, gave them a couple days to wear on me, then went back and looked again to see if they retained the same appeal. I looked for smart design and staying power, and I have come up with the three winners, plus some honorable mentions that I loved certain aspects of the ships. I judged harshly on a 1-10 scale, with 1/2's included, looking for any flaw, anything out of proportion, and anything that detracted from the aesthetic of the ship. No one was below a 5 rating, and no one was above an 8 rating, so it was all fairly close, and I thank everyone for participating, your ships will be saved and if there is need of a random ship in the future, we'll take a look at the entries and see if they can be fit in. FIRST PLACE:: Jinq, with his lovely unnamed entry! Please pick a name for your ship, it deserves it! I love the attention to detail and the variety of use the ship has. My only issue is the size, but damnit it makes up for it! Congratulations!!! SECOND PLACE:: Z3r05t4r and friends, with the "Galter" entry on their submission! I like that it was a team effort, and while the smaller ship on the save was also nice, the "Galter" blew me away, and I love the balistas instead of cannons, feels very Elven to me! Congrats! THIRD PLACE:: Kanrath, with "The Emerald Creeper" submission! I like the interior very much, and the entire ship is pretty well designed. A little more variety on the sides (patterns with different plank types, etc) would add more to the design, but I very much like it! Congrats! HONORABLE MENTIONS:: Bazza546 for his "The Nightshadow" entry! I love the hull, but the sails are, well, crap. Sorry bud :P Very nice effort though! And don't sweat it, I suck at sails too. Gunnerdude for their small ship design. I was glad to see a few smaller ships, and this one almost made it into the top 3 for it's simplicity and good design. Excellent work! I took note of them when touring the ship and will probably use them on future builds where large weaponry is needed.
