Attention, Mali!

As you walk through the elven districts, you begin to notice numerous black-and-white posters covered in words and drawings. Curious of their purpose, you walk closer fr a small read.

ATTENTION, MALI!

Many of you may have noticed the frightful numbers of flightless poultry wandering the lands! These creatures devour our wheat, shread our carrots, and peck at our potatoes!

All citizens are hereby charged with exterminating the feathered menace throughout the Malinor districts, and lands nearby!

Of course, one might be asking, "But what will we do with all the dead chickens? Chicken is such a dull, uninspiring dish!"

Worry not, then, citizen!

A crack team of Mali have come up with ways to make use of the chickens, as well as spice-up the dinner-table with these various simple-to-make dishes!

This simple meal is fine for any occassion--be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The legs are simple to pick up and eat, requiring little to no utensils (unless you are a proper mali, in which case you have already set a most delightful table). The chicken is roasted whole (as per normal) for about twenty minutes over a reasonably large spit. The carrots and mashed potato are boiled, and added to the plate at the same time.

This reasonably delectable broth is both filling, and quick to create. Diced chicken (preferably from the breast section) is added to pot of boiling water, along with chopped pumpkin, carrot, potato, peas, and a distinct pinch of salt to bring out the taste in the vegetables. The broth must be stirred often, for at least twenty minutes. Serve in a wooden bowl for that "rustic" taste.

"Goodness," you exclaim. "What shall one do with this extra chicken I have left on the carcass?" This strange little recipe is perfect for those in need for a mobile-meal. One merely takes a piece of sliced bread, and place sliced chicken of any form upon the bread. After that, one may take any other ingredient to compliment the taste (this writer prefers lettuce and tomatoes). Serve with a glass of cold water.

"But what," you exclaim yet again, "do I do with the remnants?"

"There is nothing one can do with chicken bones!"

Isn't there, mali? Of course there is! Merely observe down the page!

Did you make a wish when cracking apart a wish-bone? Then you obviously must have wished for a fine new quill to write you various nothings and thoughts with! A simple sharpening of the end of a wish-bone, and a tiny cut in the center of it can create an excellent pen! Chicken feathers themselves are, for the most part, entirely useless for this purpose.

Hair in tangles? When wouldn't it be? You mali ladies must have a way to keep your luscious locks in check against the mountain wind! Chicken-bones are hollow for the most part, and can be broken into slivers with relative ease! Using a needle (preferably not one made of a chicken bone), poke holes through a mid-sized chicken-bone, and carefully push the slivers into it. Heat the comb over a fire for hardening, and then wash away the excess ash. You will have yourself an excellent comb!

Simple products for everyone! A Mali's greatest strength is their wisdom and creativity!

((Seriously though. I keep seeing chickens everywhere. It would be great if everyone could stab them when they see them, and refrain from throwing eggs around. ;) ))

"Chicken-bone pens? Chicken-bone combs?"

*Evalyn walks away from the poster, giggling quietly to herself.*

Arabella looks at the poster for a moment, then shrugs. Stomping on chickens heads is a great stress-reliever.

((already have been doing this but it is good to see that someone is like minded ^_^))

"Typical Lucion!"

Dalia walks off, still grinning.
