Body Type:
He is currently not too muscular, but can hold his own in a fight if need be. Telinir travels quite often so his leg muscles are well toned, this might have to do with the amount of steps near the Dwarven kingdom to Malinor in Elysium.
Telinir’s health is currently at the finest it has been in his life, he is alive and well.
Personality:
Telinir’s personality is a true neutral. He is capable of creating a serious mood when it is required, and rarely does he stop to joke around meaninglessly. In spite of this, he is usually a kind man, and everyone begins not with a clean slate, but a positive one for him. He believes everyone deserves a basic level of trust, unless they manage to break even this trust, in which case they must have done something terrible. Telinir is very capable in detaching himself from situations and emotions, and making decisions with a distant perspective. He has an insatiable appetite for knowing things, and is usually more than willing to expend his energy to figure something out, no matter how trivial. Traveling entire continents for a specific detail is not unheard of for this man.
Another thing of Telinir, is that he has an incredible pool of patience, and an ability to manifest an unwavering determination. Telinir’s determination is a huge factor of his personality, and he never lets even the most difficult of times break his focus. To find out the sheer extent of this, you would actually have to role-play with him. This naturally makes him an incredibly stubborn man when he has a goal in mind. Getting him to stop working towards his goals is almost unheard of, if not impossible.

Inventory:
During his travels, Telinir carries with him a plethora of various pouches. Each of these pouches and leather bags are swung around him in a fashion that allows for easy access. His personal favourite bag he carries around is his bag of goods in which he holds various items for trade. In this bag you can often find various farmer goods, such as steak, wheat, and carrots. In another bag of his own, which he calls the Scholars bag, you can find various books, inkwells of different colors, and sheets of paper on which he writes notes. His final bag, is his ‘personal bag’ which contains objects. There is a small collection of wool cloths, which seem to be mostly used for wrapping wounds.
Further Details:
Telinir has a sword made by a cooperation of elves and dwarves in the time of Aegis. It was passed to him by a character who said he no longer had a use for it, and traded it to him for the mere price of 5 pieces of leather. Albeit astonished, Telinir has taken a liking to the sword. It is elegant and its making is powerful, rarely does he show this sword in public, as he had an incident with orcs when he was flashing it about. It has various inscriptions and writings on its side, but the writings have not been deciphered yet. However, after the incident of Telinir promising to himself not to wield the sword anymore, he does not keep this sword anymore, and would probably sell it to someone himself. For 5 pieces of leather.
Lastly, Telinir always keeps with him a long object that is not visible behind the leather wrapped around it. It is an oaken staff with gold at the top resembling a dragon claw enveloping a diamond, but he never reveals it to anyone. He had found it in a cave in Asulon, and would be unaware of any uses it has, he intends to keep it with him, especially when he begins to learn magic.
Alliance/Nation/Home
Telinir is always traveling, rarely in one place.
In Elysium he can be found near his desert tower, but more often strolling about in or near Malinor.
Job/Class:
He occasionally farms, but it is becoming too time consuming for him, as he has found better things to do.
Title(s):
Baron. Telinir is a Baron of his small stead, but he does not care much for the title. He merely would use it to shake someone off him when necessary or possible.

Profession(s):
Telinir has a wide understanding of various tasks. However his current and most prominent is that of a farmer. In fact, he has a favourite way to greet potential customers when wandering with goods.
Special Skill(s):
He has an excellent ability in reading/writing in common. When Telinir reads a book or hears spoken word, the information will often stick in his head for years, proving a good memory. He is also generally capable at handling stress, he has the rare ability to sit down for a while and simply think about the on-goings in his life. To observe, analyze, and criticize recent events and his past actions. With this ability, Telinir is able to vastly improve on his mental abilities. Lastly, possibly both a flaw and skill, Telinir has the ability to hold his promises and oaths. He will uphold what he says to the best of his ability, even through death.

Flaw(s):
There are numerous flaws with Telinir. Firstly, he is an inexperienced man at his age, and having spent much of his youth in a library tends to accept new information without question. Unless the information conflicts with a past belief, he would likely believe it to far extents.
When Telinir becomes lost in a conversation, and cannot find what next to say, his intelligence will drop considerably. He is not used to situations where he is at a loss for words, or when he is on the losing side of an argument. During these situations he may spout contradictory nonsense and just absolute garbage in general without any meaning.
As for his physical side, Telinir fails to see why he would need to put any attention to exclusive training. If Telinir must do something tedious and difficult like farming to survive, that would be one of his only sources for physical training. Otherwise the rest of his muscle comes from his constant travelling. If Telinir found a topic that greatly interested him, such a collection of books, a mystery, or something like magic, he would probably engage in physically demanding activity rather rarely.
During combat, Telinir has the unfortunate flaw of creating a false feeling of safety. During combat he usually begins to conjure thoughts of his own regarding how he could potentially ward off the attacker or win. These little scenarios played in his head make him slightly delusional in his combat and sap away at his fear and crucial adrenaline. If the enemy was to begin doing something completely unexpected, Telinir would be likely to fail miserably. There is an exception to this safe feeling, of course. If Telinir is to be approached by a respected wizard, a trained assassin, or a group of malicious orcs, etc, he would not go into that state, but will rather become incredibly fearful.
Yet another ‘flaw’ comes from an event in Telinir’s life. He was told, possibly not explicitly, but that is the way he took it. The significance of this is that he was told this by a potential instructor in the magical arts. He was told that if he was to learn magic, he needed to drop using a sword. This somehow made Telinir incredibly determined to never use a sword under any circumstances. He currently still maintains the skill to wield one, but is no longer mentally capable under his conscious self to use one, almost like a mental block. If he is given a sword, his near-immediate reaction is to toss it to the side. This trait is likely to persist as a habit even after he has learned magic. This shows a part-flaw of Telinir’s determination, he is willing to toss aside any other thought, and reach for his goal to the best of his ability.
Telinir absolutely detests feeling helpless in situations. Even in the most complex of situations where he can do nothing to achieve a certain goal or is useless in a situation, Telinir will do his utmost to be at least a slight help or solution. He will quickly attach negative feelings to those that put him in such situations.
Fighting Style:

Telinir's fighting style isn't anything special. He does not wield a sword, or any other unnecessarily large weapon, he holds with himself an iron dagger. If he was forced to fight one on one on equal grounds, he would most certainly fail. However, this is rarely the case, as his tactic is to lure the target somewhere, and trick him somehow into looking away, after which the target will find a dagger stuck in its neck, falling over from bleeding promptly.

Telinir wouldn’t use a weapon any longer, instead fighting with words and knowledge. His idea of fighting is verbally fighting to get the fight to stop, such as offering food or items of value to the enemy. He would rather have a cup of tea with biscuits with them, submerged in a pleasant atmosphere. Because of his vow to himself not to use a sword that he has maintained for two years now, his ability is extremely sapped of its original state, a shaky jab at the enemy would be all he can do.
The Beginnings
From a child he grows older, a seeker of knowledge.

Telinir’s life before leaving his parents was an uneventful life.
His life began in Arethor, during late Asulon, to his parents Vance, and Arya.
Vance was a dabbling magician, who practiced small bits of fire magic and illusion, managing at his finest, to conjure a spark to light the fireplace, or speaking inaudibly, making others hear his voice in their minds. His father was quite the prankster, and enjoyed spending much of his time devoted to just having fun. As work however, his father was also a farmer, and he taught Telinir much in the ways of surviving as one. His mother however, was a simple usual housewife, not much did she do other than cook and clean but she did play a key part in Telinir’s growth.
Since a very early age, Telinir grew an affinity for learning new things. He would constantly pester his parents, and his father would teach him how to farm, and information on livestock. His mother on the other hand, had less, but more to offer at the same time. Every day, she would work with Telinir to improve his language to her level, and eventually Telinir managed this. It was not enough for him however, and as such his father continued the teachings when available, and taught Telinir basic reading and writing skills. However, during a year of incredible famine his father had to work every day, and would only return home during late night. The child was still curious and eager to continue his learning, he began to make visits to the library with his mother. Every day Arya would drop off Telinir at the city library where he would spend his time until his mother came by again late evening to drag him from the books. Gradually his knowledge began to expand past his mothers, and his level of understanding approached his wise fathers. At the age of 13, Telinir would begin to make visits to different cities, in search of different libraries. The books he read were varied; he enjoyed reading new material regardless of what it was. He would read about adventures, historical documentaries, and honestly, any things he could grab his hands on. After making these month long trips he would return home to astound his parents with his newfound knowledge. Then, utilizing his crummy experience of life gathered from written text, he left home at the age of fifteen, bidding farewell to tearful parents.

Asulon
His new life begins in a dangerous world.

He signed up for the Asulon Herald, meeting a variety of new faces. His daily life only continued to get better as he interacted with more people, he would make daily visits to eat at the tavern across from the Herald shop. He more or less began to settle in the town, and things went well. However, fate decided that he was not always to remain well and healthy. One of his co-workers, halfling Attacus, would constantly get into trouble. The kind Telinir would always feel obliged to help him but one day, while saving Attacus’ life, he nearly sacrificed his own. It was an early sunny morning, the type of morning that you would expect to go quite well, he was getting ready to head over to the tavern for his daily tea with biscuits. As usual per his routine, he heads over to the tavern, and receives his breakfast snack. While he munches on it, he hears men yelling in the background, all seems fine, until he hears the all-too-familiar screams of the halfling Attacus. He spills some of the hot tea on his lap and sighs in dismay, it was time to save the halfling again. He begins to quickly shove the cookies into his mouth to finish them, but Attacus comes into the tavern… with company. The dwarf was being held hostage by a few armored warriors and this time the situation was beyond the young man’s control. Telinir quickly heads to the shop, pretending not to know the halfling yelling his name for help while shedding a tear. He opens the door and shuts it, leaning on the wall nearby and sighing, wondering if the dwarf would live. After a few moments however… the halfling is yelling his lungs out dashing across the streets madly, and moves inside the house. The wide-eyed Telinir, not knowing what course to take, tells the halfling to run up to the roof of the house, and escape that way. He bars the door and leans against it, bracing for impact, listening to the angered cries outside. One of the men becomes rather annoyed, he pushes aside the other men and prepares to barge through the door. He runs at it and blasts through, Telinir flies backwards with the door on top of him, becoming incredibly dazed. The men rush in, ignoring the figure covered by the door and heading upstairs. Much to their dismay, the men do not find Attacus, their leader yells for them to find Telinir instead. His ears recover from the ringing, his vision blurred, and a hand moves to the back of his head, rubbing the bruise. He stands up weakly, and then proceeds to head towards the door, utilizing his shaky feet, trying to move through his cloud of dizziness. One of the men finds him, and yells loudly to the rest of the men, signaling Telinir’s position. Beginning to flee, he runs to the fields but trips in the grass, and the poor man is quickly caught. The men begin to beat him senseless, using their iron boots, and hit him in the head with the hilts of their swords. Knocked helplessly unconscious, Telinir is dragged to a near river, his body is tossed to the top of the hill leading to the bank, and he begins to roll down. His body becomes submerged, and one of the men shoots an arrow through his arm, pinning it down. As hope begins to leave, as his body begins to drown, with his life force slipping away, one of the men shows remorse. He unpins Telinir from the bottom, and moves him out of the water while pointing a cautious and defensive sword at the rest. A conflict begins, and the men begin fighting amongst themselves, the battle begins to move and carries itself further down the riverbank. After a short while, the men seem to forget about Telinir, and his consciousness slowly slips back. Gathering his remaining strength he painfully climbs up the hill, and slowly heads towards the city, leaving a trail of crimson blood behind him. The last of his strength drains off, and he collapses in a pool of his own blood, almost reaching his destination. Now it seems he would die… but he is found by one of his close friends, Hyperio. The wide-eyed elf scrambles to find help and manages to find a certain Jacque who restores Telinir to health. The aftermath had Telinir wear bandages for a week, and a crutch for a broken leg for a few months.
After that, events run by smoothly, and Telinir manages to get by just barely in Asulon, slowly healing and working slightly. Peace in quiet was never around him though, always when he left the shop, there would be nobility beating someone senseless, or some other disturbance. He slowly began to acquire a dislike to nobility and anything to do with them, he would from then on only reluctantly accept anyone who befriended nobles. This negativity began to pile on nearly becoming a hate, especially when he found out that the men he was nearly beaten to death by were nobility themselves. Luckily, encounters did not come Telinir’s way, he was fated to stay out of their way luckily… although, something worse to him happened. It was the sudden move to Elysium.

Elysium
Torn from his homeland, but new opportunity awaits.

Telinir arrived to Elysium in a state of shock; he was leaving Asulon. It was the land of his childhood, and the claimer of all of his memories, his home. He would be unable to pursue any of his goals for this while because of the impact this had on him, his path diverted slightly.
He stumbled across through the initial tent camp, passing by in his daze whilst occasionally looking up at the pelting rain and occasional thundering bolts of lightning. He was reduced to a frightened mouse, incapable of thinking straight, his thoughts scrambling for a haven to rest. Although he only saw past the tips of the fingers on his outstretched hand forward, he eventually stumbled into a wooden building under construction. He was almost reduced to a childlike state, approaching the door he knocked on it with a shaky knuckle. It was answered by a tall, and at least to Telinir, intimidating wood elf. His name was Euryllicus Leithacorm, and he would be Telinir’s gateway into Elysium. Telinir was taken in, and Eury helped him return to his normal state, the rushing torrent of thoughts began to calm into a steady stream, and things settled. Telinir began to think about what he could do in Elysium, and of all the possibilities. He stayed with Eury for a long time, keeping to the house and its close surroundings, but he disliked one thing. Euryllicus had an extremely protective nature as he would always rush Telinir to safety, stow him away in the basement temporarily, and then deal with the dangers on his own. Whilst Telinir sat in the basement, he feared for Eury’s health, and silently detested the fact that he was useless. Multiple times, orcs would come to grab precious resources, like food, iron, and wood. Telinir always felt helpless in the situations, and for some odd reason, negative feelings began to attach to the elf and Telinir longed to leave the house in search of his future. Well, it so happened that the same day he planned to leave, a man came across the house asking for some extra supplies. This was an incredibly old man, his name was William Twinbuck, and he said he was off to create a stead. Telinir inquired the man, if they would leave far, and if he could come too. William responded positively to the questions, and Telinir quickly packed his belongings. They began travelling, going past Oren, and finding an open field. He began to collect resources as William unpacked the caravan and called out to a few more workers. The area was a small fenced-in field, it was right beside a lake as well, an excellent spot for farming. However they were unaware of one crucial thing. They had settled right in Syndicate’s backyard, and that would torment the beginnings of the stead. Whilst still in business, the Syndicate would come about and demand tribute, threatening to burn down the entire stead, and gave one week for the tribute. There were mixed thoughts about leaving and re-settling, mostly because there really wasn’t much to burn down. The decision was to stay, and it proved to be a good decision. Quite a large farm was built, and next to it a large caged in area for animals. A big house was built during this week, and business began to go well. Telinir would gather the crop, and head into the city of Oren, trading for things like coal and iron. During this business there was a huge and constant demand for leather. Never was there enough, and no other goods seemed to matter. With the orcs he traded using meat, fellow humans by offering leather, and with dwarves by selling ale. He never really traded much around Malinor, he did not find much profit there. The stead stayed alive and well by gathering protection from Oren, and by utilizing their proximity to Baron Winter’s lands. Somewhat occasionally, Telinir would pay the tribute of crop just in case as well to keep relations good with everyone. And so life was quite good, but as always in his life, there were situations far worse than good. During an event that led nearly to his death, he was attacked by disguised humans who asked if he was a man of Oren. He assumed that if he said he was, they would leave him alone since the stead was in fact protected by it. A terrible, terrible mistake it was. By the time the words left his lips and reached their ears, they had already begun to beat him relentlessly. Sliced with steel and beaten severely, he was left unconscious near the fencing. Luckily he was tended to by a passerby who happily helped with the wounds. Telinir did think they were Syndicate, but he was told they were in fact, others only disguised as such. He began to develop distrust to those he had not yet met, keeping a cautious approach. This distrust caused his business sales to plummet, as he was much less willing to go out for the while. He would stay at the farm, keeping to his own and quickly growing bored.

Pursuits of Magic
A childhood longing returns.

The life of a farmer became boring, tedious, and repetitive. Telinir began to look back at his past, to spending hours in libraries reading various texts and learning. His childhood longing for magic began to return, and he felt that it would be time to resume his searches. He did not know how, and time completely speeded by, until he met a certain elf lady. This person was Evalyn Rorke, and she would prove to be a distinct part of his life. For a little while they spoke in his home, and as they described themselves, she sparked a long forgotten interest. She spoke of magic, and of her willingness to learn such, and the memories of past began to flood him over. After a bit of thought, he offered to engage in the searches with her, and to find teachers of magic together. This is how his searches began, but his objective was rather lost to him, in the past he knew why he wanted to learn magic, it always seemed necessary and he had a reason. But after the lengthy absence from books and studying, the reason became clouded. Still, he naively searched and it quickly became a heightened priority. After asking at least twenty people across Elysium he had a small streak of luck. His first encounter was with Evark, fortunately the Lich was occupying a body at the time, and Telinir did not quite know who he was, seeing Juno. After the short yet odd encounter, Evark increased Telinir’s desire and curiosity substantially. With a newfound hope and determination, he would run from person to person in Malinor, finding a multitude of wizards with Blundermore being the first. He began to torrent his questions at the Ascended, but each time one was answered, it only brought another wave of questions. He began to travel around and he had some luck, but he never quite reached his goal. The wizards kept redirecting him to different mages, and he was bounced around like a ping pong ball. He had a great wall of patience at the time, but it began to seriously chip away at it, albeit slowly. His inquiries about apprenticeship were denied by Blundermore, Ambros, and Salamandra. He was told to seek the Mages Guild, yet he was denied. If it was not for his solid and unstoppable determination, he would have quit by that point. He was rather naïve with the wise wizards, and to his dismay, was unable to keep his own stupidity from messing with him. It was a rather depressing dip in his life during this time, and he began to seek out the Liches as a final goal and hope. Unfortunately, he was severely torched by Evark… twice, and his experience with him brought a natural hate towards the fire user. However… his encounter with Sorceress Laurina was incredibly different. He saw an offered chance, a chance to learn magic. She explained the situation, where he would have to earn her trust. It created a serious conflict in his mind for he would have to serve a Lich, but eventually it made him hell-bent to earn her approval. For her he would recruit people he found worthy to join her cause, a special cause. During this time, he would continue to visit Salamandra quite often, to the point of irritation on Salamandra’s end. Telinir would follow him around, try to earn a smidge of respect or consideration, which in his mind he thought he found little. Fortunately, he believed there was still a chance, Salamandra let him follow around, and pointed him to a book on magic once as well. There seemed to be a chance in both figures, which would probably lead to a future inner conflict with himself. A choice had to be made, but there weren’t any clues thrown his way, both continued to be potential instructors in his mind.
Tainted by Evil (16/01/2013)
The prolonged contact with the Lich Laurina begins to take its toll.

Magic by neutral means has become something too far out to grasp now, and Telinir decided that he would continue working for the Sorceress. He stops visiting Malinor as often, and begins to spend more time around the tower that he constructed, to use as a gathering point between himself and the group members. As he begins to think that learning from Laurina is his only option, he begins to spend more, and more time helping. On a fateful evening for a certain child, a wrenching moment in Telinir's history occurred. The Sorceress needed a specific child, Mayah, and Telinir was not aware of what he might have to do. He brought the child by tricking her, and wondered as to what might entail. After a bone-chilling torture and interrogation, Telinir was told to deliver the final blow... which, from the immense pressure, he did. After the event, he brought the child to the monks, tattered in blood, and left, struck with horror at what he had just done. He spent several restless nights, tossing and turning in bed, screaming in terror of his own actions, and what he was becoming. After barely surviving his conscience, Telinir becomes troubled, for the world would not be forgiving of his actions. Currently, none know, and he faces a dangerous, heart-wrenching path ahead. Maybe... just maybe. Magic might be worth that.

He becomes a priest for Oren, but continues to work for the Lich.

As the time passes, Telinir decides to visit one that he considers among his friends.

He decides to visit Alexander de Stolistes, and so he does. A friendly conversation ensues, and they speak to each other, Telinir is delighted to hear that Alexander is doing well enough.

But, something rather odd happens. Alexander, who has noted Telinir's good characteristics takes him to the High Pontiff, on the account of his beliefs. A conversation which lasts a very long time, Telinir speaks with the Pontiff and his faith in the Creator 'grows'. He is appointed a priest, and so he works two different things, while the guilt of his previous actions still hangs heavy.

A few elven days after his appointing, he has a conversation with Evark, after which he promptly lures someone known as Quavinir into the desert and kills him. Yet another burden that stands on his shoulder has been added, he feels that some day he will have to pay for his crimes, and his conscience continues to press on him.

Other:

Da Gobonic Ordah Attack 1

It is a mighty legion, a fiery iron rule upon Malinor it would bring. Captain Salamandra, Commander Nug, Commander Raktar and Private Telinir gathered snowballs, their valuable ammunition. It was the day they would conquer the city and prove their might. Soon they were approached, and attacked! They began to torrent, and unleashed snowball hell on their enemies, pounding at them with the snow relentlessly. Eventually, they succeeded in the capture, and Captain Sal stood victorious at the gates of the Mali’Aheral settlement. They kept the city for a while… until boredom came across and they left. The elves would tremble at even the thoughts of the attack for years to come.
(There may or may not have been a smidge of sarcasm/humor when writing that...)

Da Gobonic Ordah Attack 2

The Order grows, beginning to encompass many more. The second attack takes care of Malinor completely, all are weak against the might of the Order. It is successful, and proves the might of the Order again, it is not to be trifled with.

The Lich Sorceress

Telinir has chosen this path, and he does occasionally commit villainous deeds in the name of his Sorceress. He hopes that he will gain enough trust soon, so that he may ask her at some point to be taught.

If Telinir is to choose to accept the path that the Sorceress has laid out in the future, he will be lead down a road of villainous deeds. His consolation is that this will eventually lead to him being taught magic, as nothing else would make him work evil. However, as time flies by, if and after he has fulfilled many evil requests, he may naturally become used to doing the deeds, and it may carry in to his normal life.
Currently he is loyal as nothing has conflicted with this relationship and he believes the reasoning is sound.

Salamandra

Telinir is no longer able to contact this wizard as much as he did before, and the few times that he does, Salamandra acts completely random. He still has an earned respect towards him as a powerful wizard, but it is quickly fading away.

A wizard that Telinir believes is his last chance to learn magic through normal means. He finds that the man has quite the intriguing persona, and has seen his powerful magic in action. Although he has been denied twice, his determination is leading him to continue, even though it is beginning to irritate the mage. A rare thing that Telinir does is gift something, which is what he decided to do such after he felt he had agitated the mage. Lastly, out of sheer respect and admiration he finds that he is often in awe near the mage, but he keeps it to himself by staying quiet most of the time and looking away.

Magic

Why does he seek to learn magic?
Telinir does not yearn for ultimate power, to have control over, and the ability to destroy, manipulate or defend. True, he is a weak man, incapable of defending himself anymore as to his recent lack of swordsmanship. But that is not all the reason, for he has been told magic can open an entire new category of knowledge. It is something he has almost no idea of, an immense concept that he cannot currently grasp. It excites him, not only does he study this time, but for positive effect too. He has learned that it is in fact, an incredibly dangerous power in some cases, and when used can cause great damage. In his mind it must be wielded with incredible care, and for neither good nor evil, as it should be used as a means to preserve balance.
Attacus was a Halfling, not a dwarf... ): It's cool though. He would make a good dwarf.

Hahaha, I better fix that. This application was written a long time after the actual event, and my memory became quite fuzzy.

I'l fix it when I have the time, I'm currently doing something important for the Series though, please bare with me. :D
