Rp: A Formal Plea

If you are inside the Malinor Camp upon the Mountain of the Dwarves, you may hear Idriel Nightscar announcing to a small crowd her views on the Elven Race.

Idriel stands before her kin, Mali'ker, Maliame'ehya and Mali'Aheral alike. She unravels a scroll of parchment upon a scroll of intricately crafted gold and silver 'branches'.

My people, we are torn in thrice, when we should be united. As one, as Elf, we are legion. As three, we are weak and redundant to the Aspects. I come baring a plea that shall set us on the course of success as the Elven Race, and secure our peace and serenity that we so desire.

Idriel begins a new topic

The Mali'aheral. Or as they used to, and some still call themselves The Pure. This is a disgrace. We are the same! We all have blood in our channels, and we all live with the same values. They must join together to make union. To make our beloved Elvish Race. We may be apart, we do not force you to converse and mate with the Mali'ker, or the Maliame'ehya. But I do ask that you co-operate with the High Prince's will, and the Council's judgement as well. Now that you are permitted to join this peaceful Race once more, I hope to see you all living in open, not in seclusion. Tired I am of late to see Mali'aheral being separate and exclusive to the other Elves. This must stop if we are to reach our goals together.

Idriel takes a breath, taking note of the crowd's reaction.

My Elves, I will now continue to speak my thoughts as if we were to be united.

Organisation. Tactility. Plans. We are to have these to be successful. Have you noticed that Elves are pretty much the weakest race, physically? Well we need to plan ambushes for our enemies. Plan traps, and other tactics such as this. We are Elves, we are the closest to Nature, we can do this easily.

Idriel already sees people who may not agree.

And finally in this short list of pleas. The Druids. Come into our official fold, perhaps? What good is it that our main source of connection to Malin and the Aspects are so distant? We should have the Druids in our arms, under our protection so that they can be at peace and serenity along with us. We should be nimble.

Idriel then finally, although she thought she was done, says;

And just like I said, our weapons should beautiful. Our armor just as such. And our buildings? Should not be on a Dwarven Mountain.

Idriel awaits the crowd's reaction.

Ebs replies to the Mali, having heard her stirring speech.

I know for certain our current path looks grim, as we struggle on top of this mountain. With the eledction of a new High Prince, a new era begins. The Mali have in the past been united in their love of freedom, something that is rare in this cruel land. The mountain restrains us, entraps us, making us dependent on the bortu, who seem to increasngly express that we have overstayed our welome among them. We cherish peace, and in Aegis, by maintining a highly traibed military, we discouraged others from messing with us. But, throughout Asulon, the military was neglected, and our divided race was trampled by the valah. Still, we fear aggression from Oren, and there is little we can do to stand alone. I am not sure what we should do yet, but I do know we are stronger united.

Idriel nods in agreement.

Yes, I agree with you. United we are gaining no progress. But as one we can look ahead and plan ahead. Have a new home that is organised and suited to us.

Idriel awaits any more vocal people happily.

Serva listens quietly, taking in the Mali's thoughts. A frown forms upon his face and he shakes his head under his steel helm. He murmers to himself

This Mali argues with what she knows not. True as it may be, it isn't going to change so easily.

Elindor raises his voice. He is siting cross-legged amidst the crowd, so not many would see him

"Why not just get off the mountain then? I miss a good forest."

Nods in agreement and claps

May we all be together again like it was in Aegis... This path we walk right now is too grim and will walk us into death...

Telinir rubs his chin thoughtfully, being in the crowd as well. He decides to chip in slightly.

"If the settlement is going to move... might as well move off the island as a whole. We cannot stay in these cursed lands any longer."

Azel stands away from the crowd and listens to her speech and the others reactions with a nodding head. Deciding it was time to give his own opinion out, he does so.

"Finally someone else and others have noted how weak the Elves are. Unless we are able to come together and defend ourselves, or move to another location, we will continue our weak and pitiful existence, fading into nothingness as we are eventually destroyed. It is time the High Council takes charge and makes plans to flee or bring us together. I must speak of your speech as well. I agree with everything you are saying and very rarely do the races mingle peacefully. Unless something is done, there will be no chance to mingle at all."

With his bit out there, Azel decides to slink back into his corner.
