He never knew his parents, so he had no one to teach him moral principles and religious beliefs. He grew up on the streets and saw how people treated one another and slowly started to hate human nature and how corrupt society was. The other children with parents used to find him in the alley where he lived and grew up and spit on him as they walked to school. They would say, "Oh don't you laugh when Puniceus goes by, 'Cause you may be the next to die, They wrap you up in a dirty sheet, And drop you in a hole six feet deep." What this meant Puniceus never figured out, but he did realize it referred to him and it mentioned death. This was kind of ironic because he grew up to become a expert assassin. After 15 years of being taunted by the children, who were now teenagers, he decided he was going to leave the town. Puniceus packed what things he had and headed out for the woods. The Darkspire woods were foggy and dreaded by the towns people, for it was said that the woods were haunted by the ghosts of murderers. During his walk through the woods he heard a ghastly voice whispering, "You are the one we have been waiting for." He quickly turned around only to find nothing but his shadow. He continued to cautiously walk on through the woods for a few minutes when he heard once again, "You are the one we have been waiting for." He now knew for sure he was being followed and sprinted into a nearby cave. The cave had a strange black haze lurking in it's corners. As he ventured further in the cave he discovered a small, stone like, pillar with a book on top of it. It was a dark, red book with a black skull as the cover. He curiously opened it and began reading. There was a title. "Redmist Creed". It read, "I will be righteous and I will will be just. I am someone who kills with blood lust. My life is now a mist, a mist that will surround my enemies and carry out our deeds. I will server the Brotherhood during and after life." As soon as Puniceus was done reading the creed a specter appeared from beneath his shadow. "You are the one we have been waiting for." Puniceus quickly fell down and crept back into a corner. "You have pledged the creed. You are now one of us." Puniceus fearfully questioned, "What creed? Are you one of the murderous ghosts?" The specter replied, "I am the ghost of a Redmist Assassin. Not a murderer and you read the creed from our holiest of books. You will rebirth our Brotherhood and learn our ways from the book. The shadow of a ghost then invaded Puniceus through his eyes, ears, and mouth. A feeling of power and skill then crept through Puniceus' blood. In his conscious spoke the voice of the specter. "I will server as your guide until you learn our ways. For now you must assassinate your first kill." With Puniceus' newly acquired power he reluctantly agreed. Several days later Puniceus arrived at an abandoned inn along a unknown rode. The road was over taken with moss and had several cracks. The voice of the specter spoke once again. "The man who you will kill lives here." By this time Puniceus had learned the ways of the Brotherhood and to trust the specter. Shadow like he snuck up to the door. As he attentively looked around he noticed a tripwire. He stepped over it and entered the door. The room had filled with worn down furniture that was toppled over and filled with webs. As he searched the room he noticed a small wooden hatch. He couldn't open it, for it was locked. The ghastly voice echoed through his head. "Find a knife and I will show you how to open this hatch." He looked to his right and just by chance there was an old dinner knife sitting on a shelf. He listened to the voice which guided him and open the hatch. It was now open and revealed a staircase spiraling down towards a basement. As he approached the last stair step Puniceus noticed a man hooded in black robes. Slowly and cautiously he approached the man from behind. The voice said, "Kill him. Kill him now!" Puniceus hesitated but knew he had it in him and quickly slit the mans throat. The voice thundered, "You have completed the quest at hand. You are now ready to rebuild the Brotherhood. I must depart but with you I leave all of my knowledge and skills." As soon as the voiced ceased, a cloud of shadowy smoke departed from Puniceus. He was now on his own and the words of the specter repeated in his mind. "You are now ready to rebuild the Brotherhood." Ambitions for the Future:[/b] He hopes to make the the Redmist Brotherhood infamous. Personality:[/b] Puniceus has a split personality depending upon how you know him. If you dont know him as an a member of the Redmist Brotherhood he is kind, friendly, helpful, and an overall do gooder, but if you know him as an assassin he is more serious and sullen, as well as, commanding and demanding respect. He is self righteous in his actions, especially assassinations. He feels every action he takes is justified and strongly dislikes the corrupt.Skills:[/b] He is excellent with swords and knives and decent with a bow. He specializes in stealth and is very persuasive, as well as, quick on the tongue.Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):[/b] I attached a image of my skin.Any other details you wish to share about your character:[/b][b]Open-Response-Questions[/b][i]Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.[/i]____[b]1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?[/b]Answer: As I see a dark hooded man, I decide to approach him, but secretly. He doesn't notice me until I jump down from the roof top in front of him. He whispers, "What do you want with me?" I answer with, "I presume you are an assassin yes?" He replies with, "I do not know of what you speak of!" I show him my hand. "You are a member of the Redmist Brotherhood?" He says in awe. I tell him, "I will help you assassinate the emperor for I know he is corrupt." [b]2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?[/b]Answer: While I walk in the forest I notice an old man being harassed by two bandits. I quickly climb up a tree and begin leaping across treetops until I get close enough to listen in on their conversation. "Give us our gold old man!" One of the bandits shouted. The other one pushed the old man to the ground. I then realized these were the bandits I was hired to assassinate. I quickly swooped down from the tree and stabbed one of them men in the back of the neck where the armor is weak. The other bandit swings at me with his heavy battleaxe, but he was to slow for me. I swiped at his feet, which put him off balance then knocked him down on his back. He struggles to get up as I hold him down. I tell him, "the unjust will pay with their lives!" I then pierce the armor in his helmet and stab him in his face. The old man stands up and says "Who are you?" I reply, "I am judgement."[b]3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).[/b]Answer: While strolling amongst the mighty human capital, I stumble upon a man selling goods of varied qualities. I was suspicious because merchants usually stuck with a similar price range for their wares. I asked him, "What items he sold most? He replied with, "I sell a variety of goods and I have no set prices. So bargain for anything you wish." After a few minutes of browsing I realized these were all stolen goods. I then turned to the man and said, "You are an unrighteous thief! I will buy nothing from you!" and walked away. P.S. I know murder is a villainous act so I won't kill anyone in game even though my character is an assassin. I might post this app under villains if it is accepted so that I can make the Redmist Brotherhood.
Lita 677 Share Posted February 15, 2013 Despite the fact that you say you understand these are villainous actions, that doesn't change the fact that you cannot perform these in an application. You can't be possessed by a ghost and given 'magical' enhancements or learning things from this possession. It's possible that it could be a delusion, schizophrenia or something of the sort, that led him to learn these things. Not a real reason: Try to fix your BBCode for next time. It's ugly to read an application where all the colors are skewed, and if it's color-coded question different from answer then you'll find that the App Team will review your app a lot quicker like this. Remember to wait 24 hours before reapplying, and PM me with any questions you might have.
