I agree. Obviously the MC Mechanics mean we lose everything, but can we just re-make some items when we arrive as things that our characters would never not have?

 

The similar item I have in question is grape seeds. Elindor is growing wine grapes and he would not throw his seeds overboard. No way.

 

For the Halflings, I had the idea of actually uprooting the Grumy Tree and bringing him on the boat, but even without the storm it would be a far-fetched RP. We decided we were going to just bring a sapling (Not because of metaing this, but we decided moving a tree is stupid enough) and there's NO way I'm throwing that thing overboard.

Wouldn't it make more sense for the storm to attack the ships and cause the chests to go overboard? Then we all would have our personal RP items still, but  lose everything else, even parts of the ships.
