[Resolved] Iron.

OK, the complete lack of iron is starting to get insufferable.

 

The iron was removed a week or two ago, and as a Knight Commander I'm starting to suffer. The idea to remove all the iron from the world entirely was, honestly, pretty terrible, as now there is really none to be had, and for a lot of people it's needed for RP. When are the mines coming out?

I'd suggest using leather for now. The lack of Iron, at this point, is an issue best dealt with in RP.

It'd be nice if we could inject some iron into the world. Have GMs make some every once in a while and give it to a few blacksmiths or something. Just until we get mines up and running.

No. Dealing with something in RP is when something is actually able to be dealt with.

 

The absolute no iron issue isn't something that can be solved through RP, this is an actual OOC problem. One of the very seldom times it actually is an OOC problem.

Problem is iron already exists in the economy, so those who managed to exploit the fact that the mining world was released early and then closed end up having massive stores of iron. This OOC implication of the newly created iron disparity (those who sprang to the mining world vs those who missed it) is creating serious IC consequences where certain factions are losing prestige and strength because they have no access to iron while others exploited a mess-up by GMs.

 

It's only fair OOCly to restore some source of iron.

To TornadoWatch: No one knows for sure when the Multiverse plugin will release. I advise that you go around and buy some iron. I know it sucks, but that's really all you can do until it releases.

Locking and moving to completed. The multiverse mine is being worked on, and when it is out, there will be ample iron to supply you all. For now, just wait it out. I doubt nations just getting off their feet would be pulling swords this early anyway. The multiverse world will be around soon enough. Unfortunately, that is as far as we can answer to this.
