Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing:
The act of playing as a character that might not match your
personality. You have to put your emotions and feelings aside and act as
your character would.

Meta-gaming:
Metagaming is the act of using information acquired out of character
and using it in your characters roleplay. Say someone told you something
out of character, using that information and telling people about it in
character and acting upon that information would be metagaming.

Power-emoting:
Powergaming is the act of doing something RPly without the response
from the other player. Lets say you were in a fight and you emoted,
*slashes at his neck, hitting a vital vein and killing him instantly*,
that is powergaming because you say your action is successful without
the other person’s response to that action. Another example would be,
*thrusts his sword forward towards the man’s chest and pierces his
heart*. That is powergaming. It wouldn’t be powergaming if you said,
*thrusts his sword toward the man’s chest ATTEMPTING to pierce his
heart*. The reason this is not powergaming is because it gives space for
the other person to emote that the attack was unsuccessful.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Ferahar Alean'raheal
Current Age: 125
Sub-race (if any): Dark Elf
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Ferahar
was born in Malinor in 1325. He was the child of two dark elves. They
were not noble elves. His mother would go out for walks with him
strapped to her chest with a leather infant holder. The sunlight beamed
down through the leaves and onto the illuminating white hair of baby
Ferahar. He was a beautiful baby. Soon before his 1st birthday, Malinor
became under threat by a group of orc bandits. His parents panicked and
made a rash and endangering decision by sending their son off in a
basket down the river. His blanket was wrapped tight around his body to
stop movement to prevent the basket from tipping over and him drowning.
The basket sailed down the river for a few hours before it reached the
nation of Oren. The basket continued through Oren on the river until it
came to a halt at a riverbank on the land of a human family. It was just
on the outskirts of Al’Khazar.  A burly human man saw the basket and
went over to the aid of Ferahar. The man brought him inside the manor to
his family. His name was Ralof. He was an ex-warrior for Oren who
slowly climbed the ranks of the guard and was eventually knighted and
settled down with his family and became a merchant. His wife and kids
were astonished to see the young dark elf. He had a wife named
Christina, and two sons named Edmund and Marco. They all thought he was
adorable. The family realized that there was no way to find the parents
and they decided it would be best to house the infant with them. They
did not know of his name since his parents were in Malinor. The family
had a wood elf housekeeper who’s name was Sylaias Alean’raheal. She saw
the baby and fell in love with him. She told the family they should name
the baby Ferahar Alean’raheal, and have it adopt her surname. The
family agreed on the elven name and thought it suited the young dark
elf.

When
young Ferahar turned three, Sylaias decided it was time to teach him
the skills of her people. She frequently gave him lessons in literature
during his childhood. When he turned ten the father of the family
decided he should learn how to fight so he began to train him and his
two sons the art of armed combat. They would spar with each other and
train on dummies the father had made in the fields closer to Al’Khazar.
The father and the boys would go on trips up to the North where they
would pitch a tent and survive in the wilderness for a few days and
fight off hostile beasts of the forest. Sylaias also thought it would be
a good time to teach him archery as well. So when he was not studying
or training he would be practicing archery in the fields surrounding the
family’s house. That is what his life consisted of until he turned
twenty-four. He slowly became bigger, stronger, and a better fighter
than most other dark elves.

The
presence of the undead was rapidly rising. Aegis was now about to face
their biggest threat in its history. The undead soon began to take the
city of Al’Khazar. The family gathered weapons of war together to
prepare to defend their home. The men stood at the front door with
swords in hand and armor on their backs. They were prepared for the
fight that they would encounter in the next few minutes. The undead
began to swarm steadily around the house as the family fought them off.
Over the horizon however was another wave of undead preparing to swarm
the house. The father gathered the family and the maid and retreated to
the river that flows toward the Cloud Temple. The father gathered all of
the family onto a small raft as he fought off the undead to give them a
chance to get on. Everyone was packed onto the raft as the father
fought off some more undead to get onto the raft. He used a large stick
to push them away from the shore and paddled them along the river to the
Cloud Temple. They watched the shorelines as undead claimed the lands
they have come to call home. When they reached the Cloud Temple they
found shelter inside and tried to help the monks by helping to fight off
the undead that had found their way into the area. A few months later
the family decided that they should find shelter elsewhere. They went by
wagon to the city of Galahar where they found shelter in a small
farmhouse. The family did not mind the size of the home as they were
happy to have any shelter from the undead. The family stayed there for
most of the remainder of Aegis. Around Ferahar’s twenty-fourth birthday
the undead attacked the city of Galahar. The family joined the city in
its defense and fought to hold the city.

The
city was victorious, the cheering of the city’s people could be heard
throughout the city as the undead retreated over the horizon. The father
sat their cheering with his son Edmund and Ferahar. He soon realized
that his son Marco was not there. The family looked all over for Marco.
What they will find will devastate the family. Nearing the end of the
search Edmund spots Marco around a corner. He walks over to his brother
and screams his name in joy. When he turns the corner his joy turns into
horror as he sees the body of his brother leaning against a wall with
marks of biting and scratches all over his body. Edmund could not
believe what he was seeing. He carried the body slumped over his
shoulder over to the family’s farm house. Christina and Sylaias were
sitting in the living room talking about where Marco could be. As
Christina looks out the window to see her son Edmund returning home, she
also spots the body of Marco slumped over Edmunds shoulder. She ran
outside screaming and crying. Edmund slowly lays Marco’s body down along
the cobblestone path. Christina gets down and grasps the body of her
son, “My son! My baby boy!” She begins to weep madly at the sight of her
son lost to the undead menace. house. Edmund carries the body to the
back of the house and puts it on a table leaning on the wall of the
house.

The
father and Ferahar return to the farmhouse not knowing the news. They
enter the house and the father explains with a glossy eye, “We had no
luck finding him.” Christina stays quiet and points to the back door.
The father rushes outside with a smile on his face. He turns his head
swiftly around the yard looking for his son. In the corner of his eye,
his worst nightmare becomes a reality. He does not see his son standing
there. Instead he sees the ravaged dead body of his son slumped over the
table. He lets out a scream in uproar, “Marco! No! How could this
happen to you!” Rolaf drops to his knees cupping his face as he screams
once more, “Damn you Iblees! Damn your soul!” In the last days of Aegis
the world lost many good people, but Ferahar’s family lost someone who
was precious to them. A gravestone now marks the last residence of that
farmhouse in Galahar. The family felt the world was coming to an end.
They prayed for the soul of their son and that they be saved from this
evil land.

Soon
came news of the Verge. The family was so happy to hear their was a way
out of this madness. They began to gather lumber from the forests
around the Galahar for a small boat. They traveled through the ancient
portal with wagons filled with lumber and found a suitable place to
build their small river vessel. The boat was finished after a few months
of construction. The skies had roared with thunder and intense wind so
they could not sail. They had to wait for the weather to clear up. The
people of Aegis sat there hoping the weather would subside, then one day
the weather cleared up. The whole land hoisted their sails that day of
the year 1351. Ferahar and his family sailed out on the open ocean in
hope of finding new land. They sailed for weeks on the sea. Things would
get dull on the open ocean. Ferahar enjoyed watching the beautiful sea
creatures. He would watch them, and admire their innocence. They would
just swim alongside the vessels of the ocean without a care in the
world. Ferahar also enjoyed sitting on the barren area of lumber above
the sails and watch the radiant waters glisten from the light of the
orange sky as the sun began its day.

They
sailed for weeks on the open sea not knowing what awaits them on the
end of their journey. One morning Ferahar was watching the sunrise. He
smiled at the warmth of the son hitting his cold body. He looked over in
the distance. His eyes locked into position as he saw a green land
mass. He screamed, “Land! I see Land!” The family woke up abruptly and
walked out onto the deck and looked in sheer amazement as the boat
slowly neared the land. Edmund jumped up to the wheel and prepared for
arrival. The keel of the boat smoothly slid up the sandy beach. The
family took the dry lumber from boat and used it to construct a wagon.
They took the remainder of food and their weapons and set off for
Renatus in their new wagon. On the way to Renatus they passed through a
forest. Out of the blue an arrow came down from the trees and hit Ralof
in the head. The family shrieked in sadness and Ferahar took the coaches
seat and guided the family out of the forest before the bandits could
descend on the rest of the family. When they arrived in Arethor they
buried Rolaf’s body in the Renatus cemetery. After his death the family
sold their excess weaponry and armor to get money in order to buy a
home. They bought a decently sized house in the city of Arethor. Soon
after their near property was purchased Christina was stricken with a
sickness. She layed in bed not able to do much. Ferahar and Edmund
worked as farmers to try to raise money to feed the family and for a
medicine to cure Christina’s sickness. Sylaia stayed home and tended to
their mother when they would work. Ferahar didn’t mind tending to the
fields and he had gained a good amount of farming skill but he decided
that it would be best if he were to be a warrior instead. So he stopped
his career in farming and soon began to take up being a guard as a
source of income. He became a guard of Arethor but Edmund stayed a
farmer.

Soon
the sickness Christina was under continued to get worse and worse.
Edmund and Ferahar both worked harder to try to get the medicine for
their mom as soon as possible. One night when they returned home from
work the two men walked home to see Sylaia sitting in a chair weeping.
They both ran upstairs and opened the door to see Christina laying there
motionless with her eyes open looking towards to door. The two looked
at her with moist eyes and walked to opposite sides of her bed and
grasped her hand in theirs. Edmund place his head on the top of her hand
and begins to sob for her. Ferahar sat up staring at her lifeless face
in a mild sob. They carried her body to the town hall for it to be
buried. Her body was buried in a grave alongside Ralof’s. Ferahar
decides to move out of the farmhouse and buys a small home in the city.
He continues working as a guard. A few years pass, it is now 1356,
people speak of war in Renatus. Hanseti and their orc allies are at war
with Renatus. Ferahar prepares for war and trains hard to become an even
better fighter.

By
1364, he believes the war is going nowhere and decides to leave
Renatus. He sells his home and travels to the elven city of Normandor.
There he buys a nice home in a tree and works as a farmer there. To keep
himself amused he began to write literature and read books in his spare
time as well as train his archery and fighting skills. He continues
working as a farmer for the next fifteen years. In 1389 a terrible
plague emerged. To prevent himself from becoming sick he moved into the
harsh less populated lands in the wilderness. During his time there he
lived in a small hut and enjoyed training and studying culture and other
topics that interested him. He soon wrote a few excellent pieces of
literature and found out he was a much greater writer than he had been
earlier in his life. Word of the unification of the human nations soon
reached him in the wilds. There was a new leader, Emperor Godfrey, who
led the Holy Oren Empire. Ferahar was intrigued by this and decided he
wished to move back to Renatus. He moved Arethor and lived there in a
very small home until the people of Asulon left the lands they called
home.

The
ships docked into a new land by the name of Elysium. He did not stay in
the Holy Oren Empire. Tension between Oren and the Elves escalated and
they were soon frowned upon. Extremists groups such as the White Rose
took kindly to the killing of his kind. So him being a dark elf would be
the worst scenario to be living in Oren. He stayed with his elven
brothers in the city of Malinor. Whilst he was at the city he studied
the dwarves and their culture. He also train and spar with other elves
to keep himself active in combat. He would visit Oren in a hood and
associated with only a few people. He watched the harsh treatment that
the elves were given by Oren and was disgusted with what he saw. He
would write pieces of literature regarding the matter and would pretend
his training dummies were those of the White Rose.

The
boats from Elysium set sail and docked in Kalos. Nothing was different
there either for him. He still witnessed the oppression of his people by
Oren. He was given a home in Malinor and farmed from time to time to
get resources for the city so he could continue living there. He saw
many rebel organization in Malinor that tried to stop the White Roses
and reform the Sentinels. Most of them ended in failure and he was there
watching and taking note of what they did wrong and what they didn’t do
right. Ferahar dreamed of stopping the oppression of the elves by Oren.
He began to conjure up ideas in his head about how he would do it. In
the last year of Kalos he met a man by the name of Ivan Bronte. Ivan
Bronte was a great scribe but he did not take beign a scribe as his
profession, instead he was a businessman and military leader. He
frequently visited his home in Malinor and became decent friends with
him. Ivan thought he had great potential and took him in as a student of
his. He helped to train him in combat more and also taught him a great
variety of literature and showed him how to right inspiring literary
works.

Word
of new land could be heard about by the Malinor docks. Ferahar was
tired of being on a ship all the time with all of the moving of lands he
has done in his time. He did not like the idea of moving once more very
much at all, but there was rumored to be a vast amount of land in the
new lands, much larger than the land he was in now. He then decided he
liked the idea of moving to the new lands. He did not like being
confined to such a small amount of land as he had been in Kalos and
Elysium. He became very excited with the idea of new lands. When they
gave word that we were departing soon he took all of his things and
hopped onto the elven boat. As the boats departed explosions could be
heard all over the island. He wasn’t scared as he was too happy about
moving to better lands. His mentor Ivan went on the boat to the Human
land so he could not see him on the way there. So on the long journey he
would sit by his bunk and write. Occasionally he would sit up on the
deck and watch the sunrise as he had done before on the way to Asulon.
He awoke one morning to the ringing of bells and cheering: “Land ahead!”
The elves cheering could be heard clearly from every other vessel
traveling near them. As the boat landed all the elves swarmed out of the
boat and ran to their forest. The construction of the elven city was
quick as every elf pitched in and it was finished in the next month. A
glorious and majestic city rose from the leaves of the forest. Ferahar
loved the city but he wanted to go with his mentor.

He
soon set off for Kastoria where his mentor was residing in his manor.
He stayed there with him and continued his studies. He loved the city as
it had no racial grudges and accepted people of all kinds. Ivan went
back and forth from Oren to Kastoria frequently, so he wasn’t always
home to teach him. One day Ivan came back with important news. He told
Ferahar that Prince Khel had resigned and that he is trying to lead the
dark elves to their future. Ferahar was excited that his people were
trying to break away from the discrimination of Oren. Ivan told him the
location of the camp and a few people he should seek out to fulfill his
dream of uniting his people. Ferahar gathers a stockpile of food,
weapons, and armor and sets off for the dark elf camp.

and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves
are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react?

Answer: *Ferahar approaches the High Elves*

Ferahar: “Why do you make fun of this Wood Elf? How is he any different
from you because of his skin tone? We are all elven brothers, no matter
what color our skin. If we are too advance as a race we must accept
each other.”

High Elf: “Shut up you dark elf!”
Ferahar: “This is the type of ignorance amongst our race that halts our continuation to advance as a people.”
*Ferahar goes over to the wood elf*
Ferahar: “Come with me friend. I will take you away from these mean elves.”
*Ferahar picks up the wood elf and carries it away from the taunting High Elves*
Ferahar: “Remember friend, revenge does nothing except fuel the flame.”

Ferahar: “Now go find you parents.”

blank book fo 4 minas.

Ferahar: “Isn’t that a bit high priced?”
Merchant: “No that is some of the cheapest prices in Anthos.”

Accepted,

Welcome to LotC,

I was just informed that some of the lore on the wiki is incorrect.

So here is some info you might want. Al'Kahzar doesn't exist anymore. The world is Anthos, and the elven lands are Malinor.

Please wait for a GM to implement you.
