The Second Ultimatum.

"We shall see. I meant that the supporters of the government are seen defending, and despite not being an official spokesperson, what we all say carries weight beyond what we know. As far as these, what did you say, Valah'Mali? I believe they shall be seen as what they are, and be silent when an agreement is reached. They only wish for change, as do I. They would not jeopardize progress for the sake of even more."

Varstivus passes through Malinor, noticing two acquaintances of his bickering. He sighs, continuing to walk along as he expects a slappy fight to ensue over nothing.

He begins muttering, "I swear, one day I am going to burn this place to the ground... Malinor never had potential, it's been nothing but a worthless husk since Aegis. Even if it changes it will be the same corpse it has always been."

Quite the generalizations you define the majority of malinor, that is, the reformers, with.

How much power do I want? None. I want to own a home, knowing I earned it, knowing no one can seize from me on their whims. I want a livelihood worth a bloodei damn. I want leaders who LISTEN.

Kolyat, the council, they do things their way, despite all protestations, despite the proven public opinion.

If nothing else, we need a leader who does not ignore his people, and contrary to your beliefs, I do not believe it should be me.

Dalia sighs, watching the group bickering.

"Friends, former friends, new friends, this is not the way. War shall lead to the violent destruction of a government that has upheld itself for decades. Truly, I do see those flaws in the system that have been mentioned, and agree that there are changes to be made, but must we be so sudden and forceful? Must we bear arms to convince the High Council that we have a choice in the future? This...This madness will only bring cause to more civil wars, as the cause of other young Mali who see flaws in the system and wish to change Malinor to their ways, as if we are clay in their very hands. Civil war upon civil war, we shall no longer recognize this forest as the lovely country that sheltered us under its giant trees, but as a scarred battlefield, graves covering the ground instead of flowers. War only leads to more war, and the success of a bloodbath is always short-lived.

War cannot be our last stand in the decisions of Malinor, or else we are doomed. This war will turn us into the savages animals that we pride ourselves in not being. If we are to stoop to that level, then why have we fought this war? So that we can overthrow an "unjust" system, when we ARE making an unjust system of judging our Council by how they decide upon various laws and acts. The violence is only tearing down a land that needs adjustment.

My thoughts are to cease this war, and instead, a slight change in government. Once we cease this uproar, I suggest that the High Council be temporarily destroyed, and we, the whole nation of Malinor, decide upon a new Council. However, we do this without violence, by merely putting a locked box outside the Hall of Labor, have a single slit in it, and drop in the names of our decisions. If the Council tries to stop the new voting, either by taking away the box or by telling their citizens not to vote, we can ignore: Peaceful destruction of our government, that shall raise it into a blossoming new one: Chosen by the people, for the people."

Dalia smiles, quickly walking off while the others talk about it.

Elsil sits on the root of a tree, watching her. His eyes gleam, having learnt of what his brother had felt for her.

"I see why you fell for her, San. I cannot guarantee her safety as she lives in Malinor... But I can try," he murmurs to himself, inaudible due to the noise level of the bickering crowds. He leaves, thinking of the leaving of the High Council. He smiles, sadly to himself. "It is not often I respect those who run. But you have given away your power at last. For that, I shall honour you."

*Evarir Ceru, upon entering the city, sees and hears the crowd. He then talks to the leader:*

Yes, it is time! The Councils are weak and have made no effort to help the city. Once, the Mali' were respected and powerful. Now, the other nations are almost busting in and taking over. Kolyat has no leadership and the Sentinels are frail. I know because I was one. They bring up old leaders and leave the real soldiers to rot. We patrol all day every day, but we do nothing against the nations that are hostile to us! No more. I give you my bow, my knives, and my blades! I will fight until the end and not sooner! If we live or die, if we succed or fail, if we fight or talk. You have me. Don't be blinded by your wishes for peace. There will be no peace with the nation like this. People can not prosper with those councils. We have to show we are still strong, that we are still here. The humans are by our gates letting who they want in and who they don't out or dying. Peace will come when the nation is organized. Let me fight beside you until the end.
