A Rejoinder To The Ultimatum

To the Deliverers of the Ultimatum given some time ago (and whom it may, &c.)

 

          I must say I applaud you for your forthrightness in declaring the intentions of your alliance so publicly in such a politically charged environment.  However, I now call you a fool for the aforementioned intentions.  Let me ask you this: what sort of government do you think would come of the bloodbath you are proposing?  Think on that.  Think also on whether or not you believe that Oren will truly allow a new Malinor to rise, while they were the ones who assisted in bringing to to power.  Think on how many innocents shall be killed in a pointless war.  Think on how easy it would be to simply assassinate, perhaps, those who disagree with you.

         

          Now THINK, I implore you, if taking my advise and assassinating those whose thoughts do not line with yours, or going through with your war makes you ANY DIFFERENT FROM THOSE YOU CRITICIZE.  You are a fool sir, and though I agree with your principles you have embraced methods which shall bring more harm that good.  To do what you are proposing and topple the most staid institution in four worlds puts you and your comrades on the basest of levels. 

 

           Think, even now as you sit in conference with Oren (this author is not a fool, there are only three other major nations,) do you believe those same commanders are not closeted away once they have finished with you, and are plotting to topple the government you will create in the chaos of its birth.  How many of those same Oren commanders who talk honeyed words to your face, flatter you into believing the world is just and good, how many do you think would hesitate to stick a knife in your back and place a VALLAH in the place of the Eternal King?

 

           You are a FOOL, sir, one who would slaughter Elves to bring about change which I doubt shall remain legitimate for any longer that the current administration.  Your rebellion is governed by a tight-knit group, I wager.  Think on how many would suffer the fate of being returned to their standered, everyday roles as a member of "the people" you imply you represent?  Think on how they will hate to give up what they have won.  Think on that, for if you do not the great Malinor shall perish in the flames you fan, and what may rise from the ashes be killed by itself, though the same flaws you hate, or shall perish on the red sword of Oren.

 

     DESIST OR MALINOR SHALL DIE, KILLED BY THE ONES TO CLAIM TO PROTECT IT.

            What a fate for that which was once the greatest nation on the surface of every world.

((I have to agree with this. The Sentinels are on high alert, yes, but our numbers are few enough that he could get the notes on the boards, considering we dot pay much attention and act a lot of the times behind the scenes and have other matters we are dealing with.
